
Ancestral Subconscious Meditation

It’s an opportunity to listen, honor, and begin shifting what no longer belongs to you.

Welcome to your Ancestral Subconscious Meditation.
In this practice,
You'll be gently guided into your own subconscious,
While also connecting to the deeper intuitive field of your family lineage.
Today,
We'll invite in your inner wisdom,
Spiritual guides,
And a supportive ancestor to help reveal what's ready to be seen,
Released,
And healed.
Before we begin,
Make sure you have a pen and paper nearby for a short reflection at the end of the meditation.
Take a moment to settle into a space where your body feels truly held.
Finding a position that's warm,
Cozy,
And free of distraction,
So your mind can rest and your intuition can rise.
When you're ready,
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and relax,
Noticing the natural inhales and exhales of your breath,
The natural rise and fall of the belly.
Whatever has happened before this moment slowly melts away with each exhale,
And scanning the body from the top of the head down to the toes,
Noticing where you can release in your physical body just a little bit more,
Releasing any tension or strain around the eyes,
Relaxing your jaw and releasing your tongue from the top of your mouth,
Rolling your shoulders back and away from your ears and down towards the floor,
Opening up the chest and the heart,
Releasing the belly,
The glutes,
And bringing that sense of release through the legs and down to the toes as you let your feet splay out to the side and rest.
And together,
We'll use three cleansing breaths to draw your awareness deeper into the wisdom of your body.
At the bottom of your next exhale,
Pause and take a really long,
Drawn-out inhale through the nose,
Filling up through the belly,
Filling up through the chest,
And holding that breath at the top for a moment.
And exhale,
Sigh it out,
Release,
Make some noise.
And then again,
Sealing the lips and taking a big inhale in through the nose,
Filling up through the belly,
Filling up through the chest,
Deeper,
As you pull the breath up towards the top of the head and hold.
And exhale to release,
Sigh it out,
And let it go,
And feel your whole body follow along.
And last breath here,
Making this the deepest,
Longest inhale you've taken all day.
And when you get to the top of that breath,
Sip a little bit more air through the lips as you fill your lungs to their fullest capacity,
And maybe even expanding past it just enough And then exhale and release.
You can come back to the natural inhales and exhales of your breath.
And now I'd like you to tune into your mind's eye,
Your third eye,
Your imagination center.
You can practice this in this moment.
If I were to ask you to imagine a red apple,
However you see that red apple in your mind's eye,
This is the place we will be actively using throughout today's meditation.
So I'd like you to use this place to imagine behind your right shoulder,
A little bit of space.
And behind this space,
Behind your right shoulder,
See your biological father.
Even if you don't know what he looks like,
Imagine a fatherly figure standing behind you,
Behind your right shoulder.
And then behind him,
See his entire lineage back through the beginning of time.
And just witness,
Observe,
And keep focused on what you notice about his lineage.
And then you're going to do the same thing on the left side.
So behind your left shoulder,
Create a little bit of space and see your biological mother or the representation of your mother in this life.
And see her entire lineage back through the beginning of time.
And hold this here,
Witnessing,
Observing,
And focusing on what you notice.
And now I'd like you to imagine that you are in a room,
And out in front of you,
You see an elevator.
Now,
Walk towards the entrance of this elevator,
And as you do,
The doors open,
And you walk in.
As you turn around,
The doors close,
And above the door,
You notice numbers lit up.
You are on the 21st floor.
The only way this elevator goes down a floor is through a breath,
So take a deep breath.
And on the exhale,
You are on your way down.
You see the light for the 20th floor turn on.
Breathe deeply.
And next you see 19,
And so on.
Feel the motion of the elevator as you go down.
See the numbered lights counting down.
Count each floor in your mind as you breathe deeply in between each floor.
When you reach the first floor,
The doors open,
And you step out.
Now in front of you,
You see a staircase going down.
There are exactly 21 steps.
Imagine yourself walking down the first step.
Pause for a moment and take a breath before you step down to the next one.
Count in your mind and really feel yourself walking down the stairs,
Pausing between each step to take a breath.
One.
You have reached the bottom of the staircase.
And now out in front of you,
You see a door that is slightly open.
Walk up to it and open it.
You'll see a brightly lit corridor with dozens of closed doors along the way.
And a guardian is standing there.
This is your guide.
A guide that will lead you to the room you're meant to be in today.
They greet you,
And you greet them back.
Go ahead and let them know that you are ready to be led to your room.
And as you do,
You begin to walk down the corridor.
Once you reach your room,
Don't enter just yet.
Instead,
Pause outside of the door and notice what it looks like.
Notice the frame of the door,
The material it's made of,
What kind of door it is.
Thank your guardian for leading you here,
And let them know you'll be right back.
Place your hand on the door to open it,
Whether it's a handle or simply a push,
And open the door.
As you enter your room,
Make sure to close the door behind you.
And now,
What do you see inside as you step into your room?
What do you notice?
Explore the room for a moment and take note of what you see in there.
Once you have taken in the room,
Find a place to sit down and get comfortable.
Set the intention in your mind and in your heart that you are ready to speak to your ancestors.
Whomever wants to present themselves is exactly who you are meant to speak to today.
Maybe it's a person,
A place,
Or simply a feeling.
But you can trust that your experience now is guided by the ancestors.
So as this is presented to you,
Observe and try not to have judgment about the experience.
Notice if they have any words to share,
The energy from being in their space.
Or maybe ask your ancestors to show you why you are here today.
What do they want you to know about them and your lineage?
Ask them to reveal what needs to be healed and pay attention.
When you feel that your experience is complete,
Thank them in any way you feel guided to.
Receive any last messages from them or any feelings or energy.
Before leaving the room,
You look over to your side and there is a small desk or table.
And on that desk or table is a light blinking on an answering machine.
Walk over and press play on the machine to hear the message from your higher self.
Listen intently.
When you've finished receiving your message,
Take a moment to thank the ancestors and your higher self for the guidance,
Wisdom,
Love,
And messages you've received in your room today.
Head back towards the door you came in through.
And exit your room,
Being sure to close the door behind you.
Outside of your door,
Your guide and guardian meets you again.
And you walk back towards the staircase.
At the base of the staircase,
Thank your guide and guardian for all of the protection and guidance they've given you in today's meditation.
You can thank them in any way that feels appropriate for you.
As you face the staircase,
Take a deep breath.
And take a step up to step number one.
Another breath.
And continue your way back up the staircase from one to 21 with a breath in between each step.
Once you've reached the 21st step,
Notice the elevator out in front of you and walk towards it.
As you enter the elevator,
The doors close behind you.
As you walk towards the elevator,
The doors open and you step inside.
Notice again above the elevator doors the lit up numbers of the floor you're on.
You are at level one.
Take a deep breath.
And now the elevator moves up to the second floor.
Continue moving between each level of the elevator with your breath.
Once you reach the 21st floor in the elevator,
Take a deep breath.
And the doors open.
You are now complete with the ancestral subconscious meditation.
Slowly come back to the present moment with your breath.
Stretch your arms overhead,
Waking up the body to meet the mind.
Slowly take your time opening your eyes and coming back to the space that you're in.
Grab your journal and pen and don't forget to write down your experience today.
And in the future,
Anytime you're looking for clarity around ancestral patterns,
Wisdom,
Love or guidance,
You can always return back to this meditation for just that.
