Hello,
Dear one.
I'm so happy to have you back here.
You know,
I consider being able to share my story a really blessed opportunity.
So,
Let's go on to the final chapter,
Chapter 3,
Shall we?
One day,
I was called to the director's office.
At first,
I thought that he wanted to discuss some of the protocols that were being carried out,
But I was wrong.
Actually,
I was asked to assume the chief position of the newly born anesthetic service of our beloved little hospital,
The same service that in some way did not even exist before my work there.
We were going to grow even more by beginning to attend oncological surgical procedures.
This was going to be a big step forward with many challenges.
Well,
I did not expect this at all.
I had never in my whole life been in the chief position.
Did I even know how to be a leader?
And when I told this to the director,
He gently smiled and told me that I was being a leader ever since I started working there.
And,
You know,
Looking back,
I knew that he was right.
I just had not realized that yet.
Along with the position,
I was offered a space to start seeing clinical patients with Ayurveda.
I created a beautiful project called Taking Care of Who Cares.
Me and other colleagues now attend all the hospital staff with various other specialties and me with Ayurveda.
So this seemed more like a gift from the skies for me than anything else,
Because now my Ayurveda would be used to benefit even more patients.
And it all began during these sessions with these patients.
I saw myself teaching many of them not only about healthy eating and lifestyle habits,
But about meditation and breathing practices.
I began to meditate with them during our time together,
Sometimes in silence,
But most of the time I found myself actually guiding them.
Me using guided meditations as a tool to help my patients.
And that is how I felt a new way to share my gifts with the world.
The experience was so profound that I began using guided meditations and breath work even with my surgical patients,
Before and after their surgeries.
I have found profound benefits of meditation in all perioperative aspects.
You should see the look in their eyes when I invite them to meditate with me before going into surgery.
It's so fulfilling.
This simple act changes in such a profound way the whole experience.
After a while,
I started receiving patients from other states for online perioperative Ayurvedic counseling.
I do a full pre-anesthetic evaluation,
But I use an Ayurvedic individualized perspective.
And I use meditation and breathing exercises for non-pharmacological anxiety management.
Oh,
I feel so grounded offering this.
I feel this is so special and unique.
And then I finally realized this is a path that was made for me.
When in my conscious thinking mind,
Would I be able to have planned all this?
I know the answer.
Never.
All of this is only happening thanks to my personal surrender experience.
By surrendering to the natural flow of the cosmic universe,
All seems to be exactly as it is meant to be.
And this is what brought me here.
I am here to share with you not only information about the perioperative period with an Ayurvedic perspective,
But also to meditate and to do some breath work with you.
You will be surprised how much you can transform the experience of having a surgery into a moment of spiritual growth.
I really hope to get in touch with every being that will need to go through the experience of a surgery and is feeling afraid,
Anxious,
Lost.
I am here for you.
Take my hand and trust your journey.
For some reason,
We are here together at this very special moment.
See you soon,
Dear one.
Namaste.
