Imagination Journeys are a beautiful way to help children relax, move "inside" and "real..ise" the power of the love they ARE! This series of 3 Imagination Journeys takes them "inside" to meet their "special friend", (true Self) who they can talk to, play with, adventure with and be inspired by. In track 2 they journey together to discover their own beautiful dragon and then, in track 3, be gifted with a crystal just for them. Parents can listen too so they can foster conversations that the journeys will organically inspire. I would like to acknowledge Lani, 9ys old, for her beautiful dragon illustration.

Hello,

My name's Karen and I wanted to make an imagination journey just for you.

You can listen to this whenever you want to.

Maybe when you're going to sleep at night,

Perhaps out in the garden,

Wherever you want to listen to it.

So get yourself comfortable,

Somewhere where you won't be interrupted and we'll get ready to start.

Are you ready?

Here we go.

Place your hands on your tummy and I want you to breathe in and imagine that your tummy can blow up just like a balloon.

So breathe in,

Feel your tummy expand and your hands move up a little bit and then when you breathe out your hands go down as your tummy goes down.

This is how babies and puppies breathe and you might already breathe this way so let's try again.

Hands on the tummy,

Breathing in,

Making it blow up like a balloon.

You don't have to try hard,

You just have to let the breath do it for you and then breathe out again.

We're going to do it a couple of more times.

Breathing in,

And out.

Now tummy blows up like a balloon and out.

It goes down flat and breathing in and out.

And you feel like you're getting really relaxed and calm.

One more time.

Breathing in.

Now I want you to imagine that you're in a beautiful garden full of colourful flowers.

They're everywhere and trees.

Have a look around.

You can go and smell the flowers.

They smell beautiful.

There's butterflies everywhere.

There are bees collecting pollen in the flowers and it's a beautiful day.

You walk around the garden and you can see a lovely pond and the sun's shining and sparkling on the water.

There's some ducks swimming on the pond.

They're having good fun.

They're playing,

Following each other around the pond.

And then you see a beautiful tree.

You go over to the tree and look up.

There's birds.

What can you see in the branches?

Any birds?

See what you can find.

Then all of a sudden,

Out of the corner of your eye,

You can see a golden light glowing like the sun.

It's right over in the corner of the garden.

So you walk over toward the light.

And you notice that there's a gateway there.

So you open up the gate and you walk closer toward the light.

It feels beautiful and you know it's safe and it sort of feels magical.

And you walk inside the light.

And it's all around you like a big bubble of golden white light that feels really warm and safe,

Just like a big hug.

You might have been here before.

It might be a place that you remember or a feeling that you remember.

But it feels really good.

And then you notice that there's someone or something there with you.

And you're not scared because you know they're friendly and that they love you.

So have a look around and see what you can see.

It might be somebody you know or a friend that you don't know.

It might be a playmate that you've played with a lot.

You might have called them your invisible friend but they're here with you.

Have you found them?

That's good.

Now you can sit down together or play.

It's up to you.

And you can talk to them.

If there's something that you're worried about you can talk to them about it.

If you've got something exciting to tell them you can share that with them.

If you're sad they can give you a hug and listen to you and help you.

If you have a secret you can share your secret with them.

It's up to you.

But you're safe with them.

They love you so much.

They're there to help you.

To give you ideas.

To go on adventures with.

And to just have fun.

So now what are you going to do with your friend?

You're going to let them take you on an adventure?

That's a good idea.

So you can imagine whatever adventure you would like to do and go with your friend.

I'm going to be quiet for a moment and let you have some time with your friend.

It won't be long.

Just have fun.

And I'll be back in a moment.

I hope you're enjoying yourself.

There's so much to do and to say isn't there?

I want you to know that your special friend is always there with you.

Inside.

And outside.

And any time that you want to you can come back and be with your friend.

You just have to remember that they're there.

At first you might have to be still and close your eyes and imagine or if you're upset you might have to do some belly breathing and when you're calm you can go back to the garden and toward the light inside because it's always there.

Open the gate and walk into the light like walking into the sun.

And you'll feel so much better.

After a while you can just imagine the feeling of being in the lights and you'll be able to be there straight away no matter where you are.

You'll be able to do it with your eyes open.

It's like a special magic spell or a magic thing that you can do.

And it's fun to know that you have a special friend always with you that loves you that can help you that can have fun with you that can give you ideas of things that you can do and create so you can have fun and play with your friend whenever you want to.

And next time I make another imagination journey for you we might take your friend with us and go on a new adventure together.

Have fun and goodbye for now.
