Welcome,

Dear one.

Tonight we enter the threshold of Samhain,

The old season of turning,

Where the veil grows thin and the earth invites us inward.

This is a sacred pause,

Not bound to any one path,

But belonging to all who honor the rhythm of nature,

The changing of the seasons,

And the wisdom of the dark.

Settle into comfort now.

Allow your body to rest.

Close your eyes if that is comfortable for you,

And take a slow,

Deep breath in.

And release it gently,

As though you are exhaling into the twilight itself.

Feel the weight of your body being held by the earth beneath you.

With each exhale,

Soften,

Releasing the tension of the day.

Feel the tension in your shoulders,

In your jaw,

In your belly.

Let your whole body lean into relaxing.

Imagine roots growing from your body and sinking deep into the soil,

Connecting you to the ancient ground that has held countless generations.

You are safe.

You are rooted.

You are home.

Now picture yourself walking through a dusky landscape,

The last glow of sunset fading into deep indigo sky.

The stars begin to shimmer overhead.

Just up ahead,

A small fire flickers.

You go and you sit before it,

Feeling warmed by its glow.

Around this fire,

Gather the whispers of the old ways.

You can feel the whispers of ancestors,

Guardians,

Kindred spirits,

Welcoming you with quiet presence.

There is no barrier here,

No judgment.

All in belonging.

The fire crackles steady and alive.

Its light is a reminder that even as darkness deepens,

Warmth and wisdom remain.

And as you sit in the firelight,

You feel the weight of the year behind you.

The moments,

The lessons,

The joys,

The sorrows.

With each breath out,

You can feel yourself release what you no longer need.

As if you are offering dried leaves into the fire,

Watch them dissolve into light.

With each breath in,

Receive the stillness of night,

The peace of being exactly where you are,

And the blessing of rest.

And here,

At this turning of the season,

You are held.

You are held by the mystery,

The beauty,

And the belonging of all life.

The ancestors smile,

The earth sighs,

And your body knows the way into quiet renewal.

Take one final deep breath in,

And slowly exhale.

Let yourself drift now into rest,

Into dream,

Into the gentle descent of the season.

Blessings Owen,

And goodnight.
