As night arrives, this gentle sleep companion invites you to soften, let go, and rest in a felt sense of safety. Through calming guidance and slow, spacious pacing, you’re supported in releasing the day, settling your nervous system, and surrendering into rest without effort or pressure. This meditation is designed to be played as you fall asleep, allowing your body and mind to unwind naturally. You don’t need to follow every word, simply let the sound of the voice and the rhythm of the pauses remind you that you are held, supported, and safe to rest. Perfect for moments when sleep feels fragile, the mind feels busy, or the body longs to finally exhale.

Hello and welcome to Resting in Safety,

A sleep integration for receiving.

As you prepare for sleep,

Allow the day to gently fade into the background.

There is nothing more you need to learn tonight.

Nothing to integrate consciously.

Nothing to hold in awareness.

Your nervous system already knows what to do.

Let your body settle into the surface beneath you.

Feel how you are being held without effort.

Take a slow breath in through the nose.

And release slowly through the mouth.

Again,

Breathing in softly.

And letting go.

Invite your exhale to lengthen slightly,

Signaling safety to the nervous system.

Feel your shoulders soften.

Your jaw loosen.

Your belly gently release.

You are allowed to rest now.

Imagine the room around you becoming quieter,

Dimmer,

Softer.

As if the world itself is settling into sleep alongside you.

There is a gentle,

Protective presence here.

Calm.

Steady.

Loving.

Like warm candlelight or a peaceful sanctuary.

Nothing needs your vigilance tonight.

You are safe to stand down.

Silently allow these words to drift through your body.

I am safe to rest.

I am safe to soften.

I am safe to receive.

Let the words dissolve into sensation rather than thought.

Now imagine a soft wave of relaxation moving slowly through your body.

Beginning at the crown of your head.

Softening the forehead.

The eyes.

The jaw.

The throat.

Allow the shoulders to melt downward.

The arms to grow heavy.

The hands to relax completely.

The wave continues through the chest and heart,

Releasing any emotional effort you've been carrying.

Down into the belly and lower back.

Letting the organs rest.

Letting the breath become effortless.

Through the hips and pelvis,

Down the thighs.

The knees.

The calves.

The ankles.

All the way into the feet and toes.

Your whole body now resting in gravity,

Breath,

And support.

If the mind wanders,

That's ok.

Simply return to the feeling of heaviness,

Warmth,

And being held.

There is nothing you need to solve in the night.

Imagine now that your nervous system is gently absorbing the lessons of safety,

Trust,

And receptivity.

Not as thoughts,

But as cellular memory.

Like warm sunlight soaking into soil.

Like water nourishing roots beneath the surface.

Healing continues even while you sleep.

Silently affirm if it feels natural.

My body knows how to feel safe.

My heart knows how to receive.

My life knows how to meet me gently.

Let the words fade into the background.

You may begin drifting now.

Floating between waking and sleep.

Carried by breath,

Stillness,

And ease.

There is nothing else you need to do.

You are held.

You are guided.

You are deeply safe.

Good night.
