Global Spirituality
Karen Berg's vision for Global Spirituality, wherein the foundation for unity is created through individuals understanding & embracing all spiritual paths. To love each other, to love ourselves, and to grow our love and awe for the Infinite Force that is all around us and gives us life. Indeed, unity can be the foundation of our differences.

I have to say that it's really wonderful when you find a crowd so receptive,
Warm and embracing.
And for that I thank you.
I thank you for coming this evening.
I thank you for being with us.
More importantly,
I'd like to thank the so many volunteers who made this event happen,
Who gave of themselves for the cause.
And our own teachers,
Of course,
And for all of you here.
I just would like to say that it's my honor and pleasure to be with you this evening to talk about a concept that I don't know how many people today are discussing,
But certainly more should because it's super important.
And the idea,
The concept of what we call global spirituality.
Using biblical sources in the Zohar,
Ravash,
Like the man who founded the first teachings,
The first explanations of understanding the Kabbalah for lay people,
He wrote a thesis in which he said that the spiritual path that each person leads,
Irregardless of how it is or what it is,
Is totally important for the entire world.
But he said that overlaying that,
There could very well be a place whereby there would be a humanity of global experience within the confines of our own individual spaces.
And he said that this could happen under two precepts.
One would be that whatever that spiritual concept would be,
It would be there to care for the community in which we live,
And it would be there to process for the individuals the beauty of binding one to the other,
And it would eliminate,
Hopefully,
Lots of our own ego which would be involved in it.
These things,
These two precepts,
So he says,
Would be all-encompassing.
So if we understand that,
What he's saying is that every single religion,
Spiritual practice,
Whatever you may call that binds you to a divinity of a kind,
Should remain as it is,
Shouldn't change.
The only thing that should change in that realm would be the way we integrate or interrelate with other philosophies,
Where our compassion and our appreciation and our gratitude has to be.
And with this in mind,
Let's start at the beginning.
We know in the story of the creation,
There was a time when,
Before the world had happened,
And in the process,
And this is by the way Kabbalah 1,
So those of you that have not heard about it or read about it,
I suggest you do because I can't explain it to you here tonight on one foot.
But what it says is that the creator's desire to give of his beneficence,
If you don't like the word creator,
Call it divinity,
Call it whatever you want to call it,
But there was a desire to give of itself.
And so what happened,
He created a vessel to receive that energy.
And everything was beautiful because there was this desire that was being filled by the giver and the vessel that was receiving it.
So what happened?
Well,
You know that when you see a painting,
You see a Renoir or Rembrandt or a Matisse,
How do you know that that's what it is?
How do you know that that's a Matisse or that's a Renoir?
Because we understand on our level that the creating person is within the creation.
And therefore,
We see it's a Matisse or a Renoir because Matisse is in his painting,
When Roy is in his painting,
When Rembrandt is in his painting.
Within the creation is a spark of a divinity,
Is a spark of that which created it.
And so we understand that this vessel,
This beautiful vessel,
Turned towards the creator and said,
I don't want to be only a taker of this energy.
I need to find a way.
I need to have a way of serving back,
Of giving back so that I too can be worthy of this divinity,
Of this energy that I am receiving.
I need to fulfill a purpose.
And so it says with that,
The light of the creator,
It says move back.
And from that moment forth,
We know that each and every one of us have an innate desire to go back,
To be a part of something,
To be a part of a relationship,
To be a part of a community,
To be a part of a oneness.
Why?
Because there was something innately in us when we were created and brought down to this world.
We had the ability,
We had the ability constantly to want to join,
To want to be a part,
As so at the beginning.
And so the creator created a job for us.
He said,
You go and fulfill the basis by which you've come and deserve that light force within you.
Today,
We can only briefly touch on this,
But each one of us seeks in a way to become one with either another human being or another group or whatever.
And this piece,
Of course,
We find in poetry and in music and in poems and in love affairs.
It means that we've tasted what it was to be a part of a divine being.
We have a part,
A spark inside of each and every one of us,
Not only of one of us,
But of the animal kingdom and all places in the world have a spark of the divine within it.
How do I know that?
Well,
Because if you walk into a room,
You can feel the energy that exists even within the things that we feel don't have energy,
Like tables and chairs and walls.
But yet have we walked into a room and said it feels cold without anybody being in it or it feels warm and receptive?
It's because there is a spark of energy,
Which we call divine energy,
In everything that exists in this world.
So we understand from the story of creation that our job constantly is trying to go to this place of fulfillment.
But then if we ask the question,
If this is what we want,
Then how is there so much destruction in the world?
The thought of the Creator was for the world and its intent was to fill us,
To find a space that we can sleep at night and so it's a,
I know what I'm doing,
I know who I am,
And I feel good in the things that I've done.
And yet the Bible tells us that there was a time when the Creator Himself chose to destroy the world.
It was in the time of Noah.
And so it says that the world was corrupting itself by many,
Many means.
And because of that,
The Creator decided that He wanted to create a new humanity,
A new generation.
And so it says that what He did is,
Of course you know the story of Noah,
That He supposedly destroyed the world and created a new humanity.
And then it says that the Creator came to the people of that time.
But understand that when we speak about the destruction of the humanity,
It's not the Creator that causes negativity.
It's not the Creator that causes things that happen around us.
It is the result of human action.
Take a look at the water that we can't drink and the food that we can't eat.
It's not the Creator that does that.
It is us,
The people that do that.
It's our inhumanity.
And the result of that is the negativity that happens.
I hope you follow what I'm saying.
There is no negativity within the Divine.
The negativity only exists because unfortunately we humans are always looking to improve on humanity.
And sometimes our improvement finds us in a very bad place.
And so it said,
And the whole world was of one language and of one speech.
This is after the flood,
After the time when the world was destroyed.
And it came to pass as they journeyed from the east,
They found a plane and they settled there.
And it says,
Come let us take brick and mortar and let us build ourselves a city,
A tower that reaches to heaven.
And let us make ourselves a name,
Lest we be scattered upon the face of the whole earth.
And it says,
The Creator came down and He looked at this tower in which man was building and He said,
Behold they want to become one nation in one speech.
They want to reach the tower of heaven.
Let us confound their language and let us scatter them.
The question is,
Why would He object if the whole purpose is to go back to unity,
Go back to oneness,
Go back to the form of light?
Why was He upset with the fact that they wanted to create this tower?
I would think that He would be joyful.
At least He had the people together.
The whole world was one language and one vision.
What was wrong with that?
What could possibly be wrong with that?
Remember that humanity always comes back to the space where our soul truly wants to be.
And the soul yearns,
Desires to be back in the space where it's in alignment,
In oneness,
In tune with the Creator itself.
And He looked at the tower and He understood that it wasn't.
But we need to understand that when we're talking about this tower of Babel,
We're not talking about necessarily a physical tower.
We're talking about a spiritual and metaphysical action in which the Creator said,
No,
This is not what I meant.
I meant that the world indeed should be separated.
It should be,
Go out,
Go out,
Fill the world.
Because when the original vessel said to the Creator that I choose not only to be a receiver,
I also want to share,
They named that stage like the shattering of that huge,
Enormous amount of energy.
And He scattered it,
If you will,
Throughout the world.
And so it says,
Throughout the world as we know it or as we knew it.
And so it says that we were to go,
As the Creator has told us,
And say,
Go and be fruitful and multiply and inherit the earth.
Meaning,
I have sent sparks of my energy all over the world,
All over the New World.
And it'll be your job,
Your job to find those sparks of energy,
Take them,
Turn them,
Bring them into their spiritual purpose.
And that could not be done by a single person in a single place.
The idea of the Creator was that people should inhabit the entire earth.
And in this place where this particular incident happened,
It started,
If you will,
The presence of all religions and spiritual teachings,
Because it scattered the world.
And it brought those energies to the different places in the world.
In Genesis it says,
In the sons of men,
Tried to go back on a free trip.
And we do that sometimes in our own spiritual work.
We want a free trip,
You know,
We'll take something perhaps maybe we shouldn't,
You know,
To go to a space,
We try to go on a free trip.
And the Creator said,
No.
If you really want to do your spiritual work,
You have to find those places,
Take the spaces where there's darkness in the world and help to turn them around into their proper spiritual place.
So it's clear why the Creator was disturbed at this.
And then it says,
Of course,
Be fertile and fertilize the earth,
Which is another commandment,
Meaning that yes,
It's very nice to be in your own home and to take care of your family and to do your work and to come back at night.
But if you don't go above the mundane part of your life,
You'll never truly fulfill your spiritual purpose.
Because in order to fulfill your spiritual purpose,
It means work.
It means that you must somehow go above yourself outside of yourself.
This is what we're being asked to do.
The Tower was a narrative only pointing out that the history was something clearly that oftentimes today we seek to stay within our own ghetto,
Within our own community,
Within our own friends.
And we sort of sometimes block the outside world,
Which is fine.
But you know,
I believe,
For me,
For instance,
I know who I am and I know for me what I was brought here for.
And therefore,
I don't have a problem sharing with all the other peoples of the world because I know for me who I am.
People that are afraid of going outside themselves is simply because they're not sure of their belief.
They're not sure of who they are.
So they block it by saying,
I need to live within the confines of this box or that box.
What we're being told to do is if we truly want to find a world that has more spirit in it and to remove some of the darkness that we see outside,
We need absolutely to go out of our own framework,
Find ourselves,
Extend ourselves,
Open our mind.
And don't be afraid that it'll change you.
Because if it really does change you,
Then you weren't there in the first place.
So,
And then it says,
Of course it says in the image of God,
He made man and he sent him out,
And behold,
I establish my covenant with you and your seed.
Every living creature that is with you.
And in this space,
We understand that the light,
The energy,
The divinity,
Which an individual has within the confines of himself,
Is also within every living thing.
Not the same degree,
Okay?
But everything that exists in this world is a part of the Creator.
It's a part of that energy.
It's part of this harmony that we have in the universe.
And if we start to realize that,
If we become cognizant of that,
We become more in tuned and more involved and more alive within our spiritual work.
Because here,
Here in the Bible,
In this particular section,
It's written six different times,
Okay?
And so it says,
One of the most important points that we have is to learn and to see that God does the beauty and sanctity of all that lives.
Of all that lives.
Which means that we take for granted when we see a beautiful butterfly.
Or we take for granted when we see things in nature.
We look at a beautiful picture and we say,
What a beautiful picture.
But how many of us say,
Wow,
Thank you,
Creator,
For giving me the eyes that I can see that beautiful picture?
How many of us have the gratitude and the appreciation to understand that I'm standing here this moment,
But a moment later,
In a second,
All that I am and all that I ever will be could be gone.
And it's not within my hands.
And so that we live every moment,
Every single moment,
In an appreciation that we exist.
Rabbi Shulgin Azashay wrote that every animal has a right to exist,
And therefore we need to take care that we don't find faults with the creation.
We don't find things or give names to things that the Creator has created.
I myself am not wild about snakes.
They sort of bug me a little bit.
But having said that,
They must have a reason to exist.
And it says that the Creator guards all aspects of His creation with great care and does not destroy anything that He has.
And there's a story.
I once went to a place,
I don't remember whether it was Australia or New Zealand,
It doesn't matter,
But I went to a place where they grow mangroves,
And I saw that there was this little crab,
Very minute crab with a long claw,
And they were going into the,
By the mangrove trees,
Drilling into the earth.
And I asked the person I was with,
I said,
Why are there so many of these crabs?
He says,
Well,
You know that they draw into the earth,
And by them drawing into the earth,
These itty bitty things,
It creates oxygen,
And it oxygenates the soil so the mangroves can grow.
Okay?
We know today that there are places in the United States,
At least,
That there are bees that are being extinct.
And it sounds like such a simple thing,
But one goes into the other,
Goes into the other,
Goes into the other,
And clearly what we're saying here isn't that we don't see life around us.
Oftentimes we don't respect it.
Oftentimes we don't understand the integralness of the animal kingdom and the other kingdoms and the vegetarian kingdom in relation to the way we live.
There was something so beautiful that I learned recently in the sequoia trees in the United States,
Which are the largest trees on our planet,
But they have very shallow roots.
But what happens to the sequoia?
The roots are like this,
And they go like this with the next one,
And the next one,
And the next one,
And the next one.
And lo and behold,
All the sequoia trees in the forest are connected through their roots in totality with one another.
And in that unity,
They are the strongest and most powerful trees that exist on our planet.
It's a lesson for us.
It's a lesson for us.
We don't exist as one.
We exist as many.
And that many is only if we open our eyes to see that.
So now we understand the spiritual logic supporting behind this whole religion as one pathway,
Which is good and right.
The question is then,
What do we do with these differences that bring them back?
How do we make a synchronicity of all which exist around us?
Although each of us are different,
Each one of us has a different fingerprint,
Each one of us,
Though alike,
Are very much different,
But we need to apply our own consciousness to recognize that our differences are the beauty that creates the world as it is.
It is in our differences that we find our beauty.
It is in our ability to grow by learning from culture to culture,
From space to space,
Not changing who we are,
But becoming better,
Becoming more involved in the earth by allowing ourselves to open our minds and to see people in a different level.
Every group,
Every community,
Every religion is on its own process.
They're necessary in this world.
All are necessary in this world.
And the Bible says that God created all manner of creation in his image.
And the caveat is that we need to respect and to appreciate and to have gratitude.
The same way as we have different kingdoms in the world,
So too we have different energy or light that exists.
But that energy or that light which exists within each and every one of us,
Though different,
Is the same.
It is not,
In that sense,
Different.
And the thing that we have to do,
How do we make this happen?
What is our job to do in this world?
It is to create a consciousness.
A consciousness is a level of awareness,
The spirit of God,
Which is if you can understand that when you wake up in the morning and you see and hear and walk and talk,
And you say,
Well,
I have gratitude that I can do those things,
I start,
I trickle down.
Because every time we do an exercise that creates an appreciation for the things that are around us that are obvious,
It is not obvious that we are walking and talking,
It is not obvious that we have the capacities that we do.
How many times do we drive a car?
I know I have done that a dozen times.
I am on the phone talking to somebody,
Which I shouldn't be,
Right?
And I am talking to them and it is 40 minutes and bingo,
I am driving my car and I wind up in front of my house.
Totally unconscious,
Totally robotic.
I do that and I am sure that there are many of you in this room that have had the same experience.
It means that we are alive under robotic consciousness.
We don't sort of go into a thing.
When you take a piece of food,
For instance,
And you eat it,
And for one moment you said to yourself,
You know,
I know that this is beautiful fruit and it was made for me and I enjoy it,
But why do I have the right to have this fruit?
Why not someone else?
Oh,
Because I need the energy.
If I have the energy,
Then now I can go and do my job,
Whatever that might be.
I need this food to fill my body with energy so that I would have the ability to do my spiritual work.
But we don't think like that.
We say,
We are hungry,
We eat?
Well,
I am saying yes,
We are hungry and we should eat.
But for the moment to say,
I know why I need this nourishment,
It is there so that I,
I,
Me,
That I can have the consciousness,
The energy,
In everything that I do,
I can take more of the moment and go back into me and say,
Wow,
Isn't this fabulous?
I mean,
To look at a snowflake and to know that it has eight points,
Every one,
Or to see the miraculous things that we have in our world with appreciation,
With consciousness,
Then maybe when we meet our neighbor and we are in a terrible hurry or rush,
We will stop for the moment and smile and say,
Hi,
How are you?
Because often times we forget,
Not because we want to,
It is just not in our consciousness.
We are not there,
We are robotic,
We have something to do,
We have a target.
And what I am saying is that yes,
We should have targets in our life,
Within the confines of how we can appreciate,
How we can go above that mundane thing,
To see food as a process by which it helps me achieve my spiritual goal,
To see people in a way of,
Yes,
I am busy.
I remember once we were playing tennis at some place and the ball went over the court and a woman was walking by and we said,
Could you pick up the ball please?
She said,
Oh no,
I am sorry,
I am in a hurry.
Okay,
Why?
Totally not conscious,
She is busy with her thing.
And what I am saying is that we should all be able to reach the place where we are not in that hurry.
When we look at somebody's face and they know they need us for that moment,
Then we stop and we are there.
So,
And then if we can simply see that space within the confines of that,
Which we do on a daily basis,
Then we would have more peace inside of ourself.
Because peace happens when we have respect,
When we can see the most elevated parts of our conscious work,
When we understand with some type of assurity that where we are at this moment in our life is exactly where we should be.
How difficult it looks,
How bad it looks,
I mean how many of you have gone through crisis in your life and you said,
It is never going to get better and guess what,
It did.
It happens.
And the reason is because every person goes through tests in their life.
They are tested in many ways so that we understand and when we understand that that which is happening to me at this moment in my life needs to happen to me now,
Then I have a sense of peace that otherwise I wouldn't have.
I would be in crisis,
I would be chaotic.
So we need,
I think all of us need that understanding.
Then the next stage was Abraham.
Now Abraham was the first man they say to bring monotheism into the world.
But he didn't want to make everybody one.
He wanted to make the one one.
He wanted to make people to believe that there was only one divinity and that divinity was for all peoples.
He wanted to change that type of rule.
But Abraham was a man who fell in love with the Creator.
He actually,
You know,
He loved the Creator perhaps more than most couples love each other.
He wanted to feel what we call the vacant.
He wanted to feel adjoining with this divinity,
With this divine energy.
And here there is something that is very interesting that I wanted to share with you.
There is a place that says that we should love the Creator.
The problem in loving the Creator is we first need to understand in a way what love is.
Because if I asked you all what is love,
Everybody would have another interpretation.
Some would say compassion,
Some would say unity,
Some would say sharing with one another,
Many,
Many,
Many,
Think about it,
Many different interpretations of what one believes is love.
I will tell you my interpretation and you can disagree with me.
We'll have time later for the questions and the answers.
But I'm going to tell you that 90% of the thing that we call love is attachment.
How do I know it's attachment?
Because I love my child.
I don't necessarily love your child,
But I love my child.
Why?
Because it's an attachment.
I love the man that I'm with.
Why?
For a thousand reasons I can give,
But it's an attachment.
Because true love,
Unconditional love,
Which is what we,
All of us,
Receive from this divinity constantly,
Has no judgments.
It means that if you're madly in love with a man and he finds himself with another woman and he leaves you,
You say to yourself,
I love this person,
But I can't live with him.
But I still have that love.
How does that love disappear?
It disappeared because it was attachment in the first place.
And unconditional love is one of the most difficult things to find within this world.
It's very,
Very,
Very,
Very rare.
Abraham had unconditional love to the Creator,
And there was nothing in the world that would stop that.
Every test that they did,
And he went through ten tests,
And the last was,
Of course,
The sacrifice or the binding of his son,
Which the Creator says,
Take your only son.
And yet he was willing and open because he had truly and absolutely unconditional love,
Which in our world practically doesn't exist.
Doesn't exist.
So we understand that what we want,
We also want to find a way to love the Creator,
A way to create that thing that we call the vagued of attachment,
Of alignment.
And the reason that a lot of times that we can't,
Even though we say we have a connection to the divinity,
The reason that it's difficult is because we don't have that attachment,
We don't have that place that we can align ourselves.
But if we work on it every day,
If we meditate on it,
If we think about it,
If we take ten minutes a day in silence and raise our consciousness a little bit,
Maybe a little bit of that divinity will tap into our being.
And so we become closer,
And we can become closer.
We,
As an energy,
We as a group,
Have the ability.
Otherwise you wouldn't be sitting in the lecture listening about anything spiritual.
You'd be outside analyzing a business or something like that.
And the reason that you're here is simply because you want to know.
And in that knowing is enough to start,
Even if it's the first step,
To find out how truly awakened and conscious you can be.
What does it say about Abraham?
It says that Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubine,
Which Abraham had,
And he sent them eastward to the east countries.
So it says,
And then it says,
But unto his son Isaac he gave all that he had.
First of all,
From this sentence that was written,
We understand that he went towards India and to all the eastern places to find that energy,
To be a part of that,
To bring that forward for the peoples.
And it says,
But unto Isaac he gave all that he had.
Now,
When you give a gift,
If you're a trillionaire and you give away a dollar,
You're missing something because you're missing the dollar,
Right?
But we know there is only one kind of a gift that can be given that doesn't diminish by its use.
And what is that?
Light,
Energy,
Right?
Energy doesn't dissipate.
It doesn't change.
It simply may change a form,
But in itself it doesn't dissipate.
And here we understand that what he gave to these children of Abraham were spiritual teachings,
Each one a gift.
And when you gift spirituality,
Light,
Energy to another human being,
In the physical world it enhances who you are as a human being.
It doesn't depreciate.
If you're in one place and you have another culture that's very different than yours,
But you are willing to share what you have and they are,
It empowers you,
It doesn't disempower you.
Your empowerment becomes greater by the share.
Why?
Because there is a light and there is a way of enhancing that.
And when we speak of things on the spiritual path,
And when we talk to others,
And when we involve,
And when we become together with other people,
We become more fulfilled.
Try it.
It might work for you.
So what do we need to make all of this happen?
One,
We need,
Of course,
Energy.
We need our own energy.
And we need understanding.
We need to see the peoples that are around us.
How can I help them?
How can I be there to see if I can fulfill a need or something that I can do with them?
We need a framework in which to work.
We need also to engage in actions for the sake of the good of a community,
Of a group,
Of a family.
But the most important thing is to remove our ego from there.
And how many times do we get involved with a family situation and you know that you're right?
Once you know you're right,
You better step out because you're not going to win.
Because most of the time,
It's the ego.
It isn't how am I going to make the situation better.
It's how am I going to be right?
And how am I going to be right doesn't work.
It doesn't work there and it doesn't work here.
Because even the vessel,
When the vessel turned to the Creator and said,
I don't want to just take from you,
The Creator moved away.
There was no coercion.
And so too in our life,
We need to understand that principle.
Therefore,
In order to become closer,
In order to become closer to the energy that's generated by the Divine,
We understand what happened.
Now we understand what happened with the Tower of Babel.
In order to receive,
In order to be a part of that connection,
They wanted to create a name for themselves.
They wanted to be like God.
That was their purpose,
To be like God.
That we all choose,
I think,
We all truly want to be like God.
Because we are,
Because He is there innately inside of all of us.
And we can't be like God.
But to be like God means without ego.
Once we have ego,
We separate ourselves from God.
And it's the ego that determines if we are truly God-like.
Because take a look at all of us.
We are alive.
We're here.
And if we were involved in a God,
Or in a light force,
That only chose what He wanted,
We probably would have been banished many,
Many,
Many hundreds of years ago.
So to be like the Creator as we are,
We were built and innately like the Creator,
We must act like the Creator.
We must have gratitude,
Appreciation,
And more than anything else,
A love for the peoples that are around us.
And to see each other with an eye that's open,
Without judgment.
Because once we judge,
We put a framework.
You know,
A hand goes like this,
It should go like this.
We have to work on ourselves.
We have to make that happen.
So to bring about this process,
We here in this room are what they call early adapters.
You know what an early adapter is?
Yeah,
You do.
It's a startup.
It's like Google and Facebook and all the other startups.
We're a startup.
We're talking about a global spirituality.
We're new.
But if you look at the world outside,
You'll see that we're not so new.
Because the chaos that we're looking at,
All around us,
The place that we turn,
Is shaking us up and saying,
Become aware,
Become awake.
Because if you don't,
It's not the creative force that's going to cause the negativity.
It's us.
And the reason what's happening out there,
And I don't want to say what we said this,
And even if you look at the different countries of the world,
Including the United States,
Everything you're seeing is forcing us,
Demanding of us to make a change.
Change.
Wake up.
Become aware.
Because if not,
We are today sitting at a tipping point.
Sitting at a tipping point in which the world will decide by our actions,
Those of us that are aware by our actions,
What our tomorrow will be.
And it won't be counted by what you have in a bank account.
It'll be counted as what you are as a human being,
And how you awaken yourselves and those around you to help in a world that's in sore need of change.
And it's my hope that we'll get there anyway.
So to bring about this important process,
Rabbi Schlage explains that this invention called adopters,
We are the people to talk about spiritual change,
Of global spirituality.
We're the early people.
We're the,
Let's say,
Seeds of that,
Even though there are many areas where there are great,
Great strides within the spiritual communities.
But yet they're still by themselves.
We're not part in a global chain,
Which I think is where we need to be.
So we need to help them,
Desire to help them find this energy that we call the life force of the Creator.
A change of thinking in new religion,
Never to replace the old religion,
Or spiritual practice,
However you choose to call it.
It doesn't really matter.
People stay within their own framework,
But together in part of a global spiritual message,
We in every single community can tie together in ways to help each other.
And when we do that,
We create power,
Personal spiritual power.
And I know that it works because I've seen over and over again people's binding together.
I mean,
I don't know how many of you are familiar.
I'm sure there are plenty of you that have done healing circles,
Right?
And there was a study done on a particular group where they took people inside that were ill,
And 50% were prayed for and 50% were not prayed for.
I can get you,
By the way.
I can find out where it was done.
And the prayed for group got better,
Better,
More,
And with less time than those that were unprayed for.
And so they went on and they did again.
Now they took in pictures.
Basically,
The more people,
Any people,
Bind together to create a common bond,
Things happen.
The things that happen can be beautiful.
We can create,
We can create,
Because why?
Each one of you are a world into yourself.
Think about it.
If you change,
So your family around you feel it,
Their fans around it feel it,
Their working people feel it,
And you become a world unto yourself that you can help create a world that runs out of this chaos.
And we find ourselves in a place of awakening and of peace.
So as we spoke about the Tower of Babel and the people that made it,
Those people weren't looking to create a spiritual bonding.
They were looking to create for themselves a space where they would ingratiate themselves.
Like sometimes we know there are people that like to put their name on a building because it looks good,
But not because necessarily they want to help the world with it.
That's why in all hospitals and institutions,
It's easy to get a room,
But don't try to get maintenance because nobody wants to go for that,
Because nobody sees that.
Also the second part of this equation,
He says there has to be somehow an equality within the prospect of economics.
Now,
I'm not familiar with this,
So it's beyond me,
But I have to tell you that there is a group in India,
And they live in a place called Auroville.
Have you ever heard of that?
Anybody here ever heard of Auroville?
Okay,
It's a southern part of India in which there are 50,
000 people since 1938 that have created a community that bothers and doesn't use banks and doesn't use money.
They have their own law.
Now,
They have problems because they're humans,
So if you look it up,
You'll see they also have problems because they don't have the kind of laws that we have.
But there is a community that,
Well,
Wouldn't that be fabulous,
That lives in a way I think that we were meant to live,
That the people that do the agriculture,
They take from the people that do the industry,
The industry they take from the people that.
.
.
It's amazing.
It's amazing that such a thing exists,
And I hope when you go home,
Each one of you will look up Auroville,
And you will see 50,
000 people of all walks of life,
Of all races,
And living together to bind,
To create a community.
I think that's a wonderful thing.
It has its pitfalls,
Like everything else.
It has its messes,
Like every.
.
.
Anytime you have a human being,
You have a mess,
Unfortunately.
But it's a tremendous thing to see.
So that's the nature of,
I think,
What economy,
The eventuality of what economy will look like.
And of course,
The last but not least important thing is that you cannot have a working,
Beautiful consciousness if your body isn't taken care of.
So yes,
You can't force yourself not to eat and not to sleep and not to work,
But just to continue and to beat up the body.
You need the body because in order for there to be a place that the light rests,
It needs to be within the confines of a vessel,
Right?
The vessel is your body.
And so yes,
It must be taken care of.
But we can decide on our.
.
.
We,
You and I,
Can decide on our work inside that physical body.
And there's what we want to be and how we choose to be as a spiritual being.
And there's a story that I heard about a man who lived in a small village and he used to run every day into the woods to meditate.
And one day he ran into the woods and he found a fox that had no legs.
His front legs were taken.
And he saw the fox and with that he heard a rumbling in the bushes.
And he looked and he saw a full-grown lion carrying a bag of food in his mouth.
And the lion,
So he ran,
He was frightened,
He ran up a tree to watch what would happen.
And the lion took the bag of food and dropped it down by the fox and left.
And the man said,
Wow,
I wonder if I'm elevated enough,
Elevated enough that that lion would also bring me food as he did the fox.
And so the next week he went into the forest and he meditated and meditated and meditated and meditated.
And the day went by and two days and three days and four days.
And he was literally dying without water and without food.
And then finally a master came by and said to him,
What are you doing?
He says,
I'm trying to find out if I can be like the fox and the lion will come to bring me the food.
The master turned to him and he said to him,
You fool,
Tell me why do you want to be a fox?
Why didn't you ask to be the lion?
So what I'm saying is that in our spiritual practice,
We can be what we want,
But make sure we ask from the right place.
And may we all be in that sense lions.
We don't need to be fed as a fox.
So this is why we opened the doors to the centers.
This is why I'm here in front of you.
And I remember many years ago when we first started the recess to me,
My husband said to me,
He said,
You can't teach Kabbalah to the masses.
It's at those days,
Of course,
Nobody did.
Nobody even knew that it existed.
He said,
Wow,
What are you going to do?
How is it going to happen?
I said,
Don't worry,
It will.
And you know what?
I think it happened.
I'm pretty sure it did.
The reason is not because I decided that it should happen.
It's because the cosmic decided that it was time for this knowledge to become available.
See,
I know that I'm a messenger.
All I am is a messenger.
And if I wasn't here,
Somebody else would,
Because when that time is right,
When the door is to open,
When something is to happen,
It will.
It will.
But maybe one of you can be part of your own message.
Maybe one of you are destined to bring something back to your community,
To your family that will allow that spiritual awakening inside.
So we started this thing,
And we decided that whether you pray lying down or on your knees or standing up,
It's your path.
It's your way.
But the energy of the light force,
The divinity,
However it's done,
It's inside of each and every one of you.
And if we can respect that,
Then we have the capacity,
The humanity,
And the love to see that in every human being,
Irregardless of his pathway to the Creator.
Thank you.

Ten stars. A tremendous reminder to change, evolve, to be aware, consciously to participate in the universe evolving role. Thank you so much for such a wonderful reflection and wisdom as how to grow in our own world.
