Hello,

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.

Today we're going to open our heart to forgiveness.

When we forgive,

We free ourselves from the ties that bind us to the ones that hurt us.

Giving us complete liberation and freedom,

Moksha.

When we forgive,

We remove all negative energies and replace them with positive ones.

So let's get started and close our eyes.

Let's take a deep breath in through your nose and let it go.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in through your nose and release it.

Now gently breathe in and out,

Allowing your body to come to a place of comfort,

Of release,

Of complete relaxation.

Let's bring some awareness to our brow area,

Relaxing all tension,

All stressors from this area of our bodies.

Moving down to our eyes,

Making sure that they're gently closed and not straining.

Our mouth is relaxed,

Our jaw is unclenched,

Our shoulders are moved away from our ears.

Just let them relax.

Let it all go.

Whatever you're holding onto that no longer serves you,

This is the time to release,

To relax.

Keep breathing.

All inhales in and innocent releases out.

And just for a few moments,

Let's float here,

Witnessing our bodies.

Even just a little bit,

Our mind slowing down just a tiny bit more.

There are four steps to forgiveness,

First is bringing emotions into your conscious awareness,

The negative emotions that are blocking you from allowing forgiveness to come into your heart.

The second is releasing that toxic feeling,

Those emotions.

The third is replacing all those painful emotions with nourishing ones.

And the fourth is performing an action that demonstrates your willingness to forgive the past so you can create a new future.

Let's dive a little deeper into each of those areas of forgiveness.

This is your time to allow your heart to be vulnerable,

To bring forgiveness into your heart.

Let's bring right now a situation or a person,

Someone you have agreements with,

Into your mind's eye.

Give yourself these moments to bring that awareness into your consciousness.

Feel the emotions,

Anger,

Resentment,

Pain,

Hurt.

And when you're clear with those emotions,

If they're in front of your consciousness,

We can now take a deep breath in and release it.

Release all that negativity.

Allow it to leave your body,

Your mind,

Your soul,

Your spirit.

Let it all go.

Let's do that one more time,

Taking a deep breath in and let it go.

Release it all the way out.

Now let's bring some nourishing emotions into this present moment.

Let's ask what am I grateful for?

What am I grateful for?

Allow that list to run.

Allow things that bring you joy and happiness into your conscious state right now.

Maybe it's a simple smile from a friend.

He is doing this practice right now of forgiveness.

What are you grateful for?

And now that our heart is filled with all those nourishing emotions,

That happiness,

That joy,

That bliss,

Ananda.

Now we can set an intention,

A willingness to forgive the past so you can create a new future.

What intention do you want to plant right now in your divine heart?

A state of mind,

A goal,

State of being.

That gives that action that demonstrates your willingness to forgive.

Come clear with it.

Now that you have that intention,

Let's take a deep breath in and release it.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in and release it.

You are planting that intention in the fertile soil of your heart.

There's nothing left for you to do.

You've done your part,

You planted your intention in the fertile soil of your heart.

Now the Universe will work out all the details.

By performing this forgiveness,

This ritual that you can do at any time,

It will bring release,

It will bring emotional liberation and freedom to yourself,

To your heart.

When we forgive,

We free ourselves from the ties that bind us to the one that hurt us.

This is your choice to let go what no longer serves you.

And now let's repeat an affirmation.

I am whole.

I am love.

I am loved.

I am free.

I am whole.

I am love.

I am loved.

I am free.

Let's allow that affirmation,

This forgiveness center that we have witnessed today,

To gently settle in within us,

In silence and stillness for a few moments.

And we're going to seal this meditation by chanting Aum together.

Take a deep breath in.

Aum.

Let's place our hands together to our heart center,

Say Namaste.

I honor the divine light in you that is also in me and when you're in that space and I'm in that space,

We are one.

Namaste.
