Welcome everyone.
I'm your guide Kavul Jahan.
Today we're talking about the voice within that knows,
That intuition,
The integrity and the inner truth.
So let's begin.
Recently I was speaking to a friend about an event series we were hosting.
It was something born from my heart,
From her heart,
From our heart.
Deeply guided,
Sacred and intention.
So much of our time,
Energy and love poured into it.
Not from obligation,
But from devotion.
A devotion to something bigger,
Something creative and alive,
Something led by Mama Source herself.
We had invited someone to co-host with us.
At first it made sense,
Different energies,
Different gifts.
But as we began planning and moving towards execution,
Something felt off.
When it came time to set up,
They'd disappear.
When it was time to welcome the guests,
They would be withdrawn.
It felt like we kept giving,
Perhaps over-giving,
From our hearts.
And they just gave whatever they wanted.
We were building from our roots and they were somewhere floating,
Not in this sacred space with us.
What's wild is we knew this from the beginning.
We felt it in our bodies,
We felt the energy when we met this individual.
The thing was that we needed something from them and they knew that we needed that from them.
And they needed this in return from us.
And so with that kind of an energy exchange happening,
We both,
Parties accepted,
Though we didn't stick to our truths.
We felt that tug,
That pull,
That silent but strong whisper in the stomach and the chest.
This isn't the one,
This isn't the space,
This isn't the individual.
Maybe on the surface it looks like it.
This is not the energy.
But we decided not to listen to it.
We overrode it because,
Yeah,
We just wanted it to work.
We wanted it so bad that we rushed it.
And in that rush,
We lied to ourselves.
We ignored the very thing that had guided us to create this in the first place,
Which was from our intuition.
Our intuition guided us here to co-create this.
Our intuition really pulled onto these ideas and felt them and helped them be felt in our bodies and our hearts.
And all of this really made me wonder.
Why don't we listen to that voice?
The one that says,
No,
Not this.
The one that says,
Pause.
The one that,
When we do listen,
Never fails us.
Intuition isn't mystical.
It's deeply biological and spiritual.
A synthesis of subtle pattern recognitions,
Emotional intelligence,
And connection to something greater.
Neuroscientists call it thin slicing.
Our brain's ability to make quick judgments based on minimal information.
But long before science named it,
Ancient wisdom honored it.
When we say,
I just knew,
What we're really saying is,
My body,
My heart,
And the quiet wisdom within me,
All aligned into one knowing.
That knowing is creativity's compass.
And when we don't trust it,
When we override it,
We invite misalignment,
Confusion,
And heartbreak.
To understand this further,
Let's talk about a story from the Buddha's life.
It's a story of a monk who was with him in his earlier years.
The name of the monk is Channa.
He served the Buddha as attendant in his earlier years,
Even accompanying him when he left his royal home to become an ascetic.
But despite his proximity to the Buddha,
To the Enlightened One,
Channa was proud,
Difficult,
And often unteachable.
The other monks tried to guide him,
Correct him,
But he would not listen.
His arrogance created discord in the community,
In the Sangha.
Still,
They were compassionate.
Still,
They were patient.
Before his final passing,
The Buddha gave very specific instruction.
He said,
After I'm gone,
The bhikkhu,
The student Channa,
Is to receive the Brahmadanda,
The highest discipline,
A complete spiritual silence from the community.
He is not to be spoken to by any monk.
So that may sound harsh,
But it was not out of punishment.
It was an act of compassion,
A call for Channa to listen,
Not to the outside anymore,
But to the voice within.
When the Buddha passed and the Brahmadanda was carried out,
Something shifted.
Channa now left in the silence of his own actions,
Finally turned inward.
He reflected deeply,
Honestly,
And in that space of quiet reckoning,
He awakened.
He became an arahant,
Fully liberated,
An enlightened being.
So what am I really trying to say here?
We don't need to wait for rupture to listen to our intuition.
We don't need to be silenced by life in order to finally hear what's already speaking to us.
Creativity,
True sacred creativity is born from that inner alignment,
That still small voice that says,
This is your yes,
This is your no,
Trust me.
So today I invite you to breathe,
To drop beneath the noise,
And to remember the voice that knows is already inside you.
You don't need to earn it.
You don't need to doubt it.
If you just make space for it long enough,
You can hear clearly what a no is,
What a yes is.
So take a moment right now to sit in silence in that pause.
Take a long,
Deep breath in,
In through your nostrils,
Fill up your belly,
Lungs,
And chest.
Inhale,
And when you're ready,
Exhale,
Drop your shoulders,
Relax your spine,
And take a moment here in this space to listen to that voice about a particular situation,
Problem,
Person,
Whatever it is.
Allow for space to listen to what the truth is.
Maybe you received clarity,
Maybe you didn't,
Maybe you need more time for stillness,
Presence,
To step away from this thing,
This situation,
This problem,
This person.
Whatever it is,
After listening to this,
Take more moments to yourself in nature,
And just be and see what comes through.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for being here,
And I'll see you soon.
