Reconnecting back to the body can sometimes feel uncomfortable, and is the pathway to coming back home to ourselves. All uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, sensations show themselves for us to turn towards and reconnect to. When we activate the sacral chakra using breath, our awareness and voice we are inviting our awareness back into the body and our senses, to let go of anything that no longer serves.

Sometimes it's simply by taking a deep breath that we reconnect back down away from the mind and into the body and as we venture down and into the body there is a reconnection to all of our senses,

Our smell,

Our taste,

Our sight.

We see things clearly.

We feel from a place of stillness connected to the earth.

There's a vibrancy that comes when a person chooses to connect to their body and at first sometimes that journey can feel really daunting and scary.

It can feel uncomfortable and agitating and sometimes even painful but the body craves our attention.

We are humble stewards to the adventure of life and when we have a connection to our body we are more deeply connected to our intuition,

Our instinct.

We're more deeply connected to our capacity to say yes and no,

Back ourselves with much more presence and grace.

There is a sense of love that comes through this deep connection with the body.

There is a sense of homecoming.

There is a sense of rest.

When the body is really agitated and has a lot of sensations and when we tune into the body and it feels uncomfortable that's not a reason to leave.

It's a reason to turn towards ourself.

It's a reason to turn towards that agitation or that sensation or that pain and say to it,

I am here and I am listening.

I invite you to take a long deep breath in through your nose.

Open mouth,

Sigh it out.

My name is Karina Kalila.

We are going to be going on an adventure down and into the sacral chakra today.

Connecting to this energy center through meditation,

Through breath and through sound.

So I invite you to take a comfortable seat and close your eyes.

I invite you to breathe in and as you breathe in drink your awareness down your body.

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down all the way down through your base and into the earth.

And as you breathe out I invite you to relax down and into the earth with the source of support that is always beneath us.

I invite you to pull your pelvic floor in and up just a few times.

Just a little squeeze and release as though you're drinking in the energy of the earth through your base chakra.

Connecting downward and into the earth but also receiving the earth's nourishment.

I invite you to move through the base chakra allowing the heat to start to permeate into your body.

Radiate upward towards the sacral chakra and I invite you to bring your hand to your lower belly just below your navel.

And the other hand I'm going to invite you to bring to your sacrum which is the big bone at the base of your spine that connects either side of your pelvis.

And as you pull your pelvic floor in and up a few times with the heat radiating up from the earth combining with the heat of your hands I invite you to tune into this energy center,

Your sacral chakra.

Your sacral chakra is orange in color.

Perhaps it varies from person to person but traditionally it has been orange.

It is the center for creativity,

Sensuality,

Sexuality.

It is the center for all new beginnings.

It is the way that we express our felt experience of life.

It was also deeply connected to our instinctual yes and no.

So using the breath now I'm going to invite you to drink in a really long deep breath as though you're filling your lower belly.

You might like to rock forward as you do that.

And as you breathe out rocking back a little contraction of the lower belly and expelling all the air from your lungs completely.

Rocking forward opening the lower belly.

Rocking back breathing out.

And as you breathe out you might like to pull in and up of the pelvic floor just to create that heat.

And again rocking forward breathing in.

Allowing the belly to fall forward and expand.

Breathing out back.

Little squeeze of the lower diaphragm.

Let's connect those breaths.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Keep breathing like that another five or six more times.

Take a deep breath in.

Open mouth.

Sigh it out.

I invite you to pause and just notice.

Notice the heat.

I invite you to imagine that that heat is moving through your body.

Visualize that that heat radiates into all parts cleansing and clearing anything that no longer serves.

Any old beliefs,

Any fears,

Any anger,

Any resentment,

Any shame.

Allowing that heat to clear it all out.

Again taking another deep breath.

Rinse it out.

Let's repeat that process once again.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathing out rocking back.

Breathing in rocking forward.

Breathe out rocking back.

Breathe in.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe in.

Breathe in.

Five more on your own.

On your next breath in breathe in all the way.

You might like to shake or shimmy or move your body in any way that feels like it needs.

And from here bringing some toning into this experience.

The sound of this energy center according to shamanic chanting is oh.

So let's say that a few times.

Oh.

Oh.

Take a deep breath in.

Clear all of the air out.

Breath in for oh.

Second round of this practice.

Take a deep breath in.

Clear all of the air out.

Breath in for oh.

I invite you to imagine or visualize yourself sending that heat that you have generated from chanting into this chakra.

I invite you to send it all over your body to every single cell.

Imagine that it is clearing out,

Cleansing anything that no longer serves any guilt,

Any shame,

Any fear,

Any agitation,

Any anger.

And if you need to shake your body as an additional extra you can do that.

Shake,

Shake,

Shake.

Or move in gentle ways or circles perhaps.

Do what you need to do in order for this energy to alchemize.

For somewhere deep within you,

You realize that holding on to these energies,

Holding on to these emotions is no longer serving.

You are safe to let this go.

I'd like to place your hand over your belly,

Over the sacral chakra and over your heart and just say to yourself,

I am here.

I am listening.

I am here.

I am listening.

Take one last full deep breath in.

Let it go.
