Welcome,

I'm Kali and thanks for meditating with me today.

We're going to be doing a practice called the microcosmic orbit.

So this one will be breathing with the meridian lines in the front center line of the body and the back center line of the body to help sort of bring the energy or the chi as we say in Chinese medicine into the center of the body.

So bringing any scattered energy inwards and it also helps to balance the energy of yin and yang in the body.

So we'll be breathing with the conception vessel and the governing vessel.

So it's a nice simple practice today.

We're going to start at the third eye center so that's in between the eyebrows an inch up and we're going to trace the front center line body on exhale all the way down the front center line to just below the belly button and then we'll inhale.

Imagine that breath going underneath the pelvis past the perineum all the way up the back center line of the body back to that third eye center.

So doing it with me we'll exhale down the front center of the body take a pause just below the belly button and we'll inhale down underneath the pelvis tracing a line of the back center line of the body to the third eye center.

So exhale trace down and then inhale trace up the back center line of the body.

So we're wrapping ourselves in breath exhaling down the front to just underneath the belly button and inhale underneath the pelvis up that back center line of the body call that eye center.

We'll take 10 rounds like this so in your own time.

We'll take five more wraps of breath here from here once you've completed that 10th round release the technique to a natural rhythm of breath and take a moment to notice here any effects of the practice any sensations in the body perhaps you feel a little more centered or calm than you did before it's totally fine it's allowing yourself to observe allow for whatever's present here and feel free to repeat this breath technique or even to repeat this meditation to find that moment of centering and grounding into the body and please follow along for more meditations more Chinese medicine wisdom and yoga nature.

Thanks for joining me
