Welcome.

Welcome,

Dear one,

To your practice today.

Welcome home.

Let's get started.

I invite you to find a comfortable place to sit and whatever that looks like for you is perfect.

Maybe it's a cozy chair or maybe you're swaying in a hammock or perhaps you're sitting in your bed with a pillow behind you.

There's no right,

There's no wrong.

Just feel at ease.

Our intention today as we do this work together is to feel good and to feel good by coming into this very moment.

So start now.

Find that comfortable seated position and then just slowly,

Easefully close your eyes and embrace that darkness.

And as you do,

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your nose.

And just keep doing that.

Breathing in,

Big deep nourishing breaths.

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

As you do this,

Just notice.

Notice the sounds in the room.

Notice the temperature of the air on your skin.

Notice how you feel in your body.

And if thoughts of judgment start to come up,

Label it thought.

There's no attachment to the thought,

It's just a thought.

So just as easily as it arrived,

Let it go.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

And I invite you in this moment to think of one thing.

One thing that makes you smile.

Maybe it's a really big wonderful thing that you've wanted,

You've been hoping for.

Maybe it's that.

Or maybe it's something small,

Something mundane but magical.

Maybe it's the feeling of your child's hand in your own,

The warmth,

The love.

Think of that thing.

Notice that thing.

Maybe it's an idea or a person.

See the picture in your mind.

And then continuing with that same breath,

Inhaling through your nose,

Exhaling through your nose.

Say thank you.

Say it aloud,

Sing it out loud,

Scream it aloud,

Thank you.

Or be still.

Thank you.

Using that breath as an anchor,

Take a deep breath in,

Thank you.

And then on your exhale,

Send that gratitude,

That warmth,

That light out into the world,

Into that person or place or circumstance.

Place one hand on your heart,

Friend,

And the other one over top of it.

Give yourself a little squeeze.

On your next inhale,

Feel your spine stretch longer and taller,

Reaching,

Always reaching the crown of your head towards the light.

On your exhale,

Flutter your eyes open and greet the light.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

It's my honor to be here with you.
