Hi Roberto,
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Thank you for having me on,
I appreciate it.
Of course,
I am so excited to get into this interview because I don't think I've ever talked about mindset on the Dear Lovely Universe podcast.
So this is a really awesome topic.
I'm so excited.
Cool.
That's amazing.
I'm honored to be one of the first people on here to discuss it with you.
Yeah.
I'm really intrigued by this first question and I would love to hear your point of view on it.
So who is the higher self?
All right,
So the higher self,
Right?
It's the connecting point between us here in this 3D world and universal consciousness.
It's the conduit.
We all have a higher self.
It's our soul in essence,
Right?
We are souls in this human body.
And our higher self is the evolved version of our souls.
They're wanting to relive experiences through our physical actions.
So the higher self's purpose is to evolve.
Just like us as humans,
We need to evolve.
The higher self wants to evolve as well.
And they're doing it in conjunction with us.
So whatever in our best interest here as humans,
The higher self wants the best for us.
So they're in essence an ally.
They're a resource for us.
They are a,
You know,
Like I said,
A conduit between universal consciousness and us.
They are looking for us to be the best versions of ourselves.
They want us to be full of abundance,
Full of love,
Full of joy,
Full of gratitude,
All the positive things in the world.
The higher self is the opposite of the ego.
You know,
Like the ego,
For example,
Commands where as a higher self suggests and the higher self is just that resource to help us be the best version of ourselves.
We all have access to a higher self.
It's something that having a soul,
You know,
We have a higher self.
We're working in tandem.
So for me,
The higher self is somebody that I want other people to get to know as well within themselves so they can be the best versions of themselves through this life.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's so beautiful.
So would you say that your higher self is a part of you?
Definitely.
Definitely.
Mm-hmm.
So if your higher self is a part of you,
Then would it be fair to say that your higher self is constantly guiding you?
Yes.
So the higher self is almost like your intuition.
When you have like a gut feeling about something or something kind of prompts you and you hear that little voice in the back of your head,
The higher self is telling you to do what's best for you.
But sometimes our minds get in the way.
We think that we'll second guess ourselves.
You know,
The ego will come into play.
We're worried about what other people think.
So the higher self is,
It's always there since the start of your life,
Since birth,
Since you came out of your mother.
Your higher self has always been there,
But it's sometimes like being in a dark room and you don't realize that somebody else is in that dark room,
But you're there with the higher self and you got to make that initial connection with the higher self to be able to start working in tandem,
Working as a tag team and doing what you got to do to progress both of your guys' souls.
Wow.
That's really,
Really amazing and so intriguing.
I love this,
Not just idea,
But you know,
We know it's true at this point.
And so you mentioned about your higher self,
About developing yourself and in turn also having a positive effect on the people around you.
Can you tell me more about that?
So for example,
With me,
When I met my higher self,
It was a big revelation to me,
Right?
I knew there was something behind everything since I was a child,
Right?
I was always empathic.
I was intuitive.
I could see things developing as they were coming,
But I didn't know what to make of it.
I was waiting for some sort of aha moment to occur and it never really did.
And I grew up questioning why certain things were the way they were.
And I was waiting for that miracle moment,
Right?
I was waiting to see like a burning bush,
In essence to be like,
Oh,
That's where things are coming from.
But you know,
When I met the higher self,
It basically put me in a place where I became aligned with myself.
And at that point,
Everything just began to click and it became crystal clear that the mind,
Body,
And soul connection is necessary and essential to be able to get that next level of personal development going.
You know,
You can be out of alignment and be super fit,
But then your mind's not right or vice versa,
Right?
Your mind's right,
But your body's not fit.
Like it all kind of works in alignment and it's different for everybody,
Right?
You can,
You don't have to be a specific type of person or look a certain type of way,
But it's the intentions that you have and how you want to live your life are the keys to making it impactful and being in your best interests.
And that's where the higher self comes in with a personal development aspect.
And when I met mine,
You know,
It was like a block was released,
Completely shattered.
I remember just the feeling is so intense.
Like I'm getting chills now thinking about it,
Like the,
The,
Such a release that I had and such a letting go of all type of blocks,
All type of restrictions,
All type of limiting belief systems.
And there was,
You know,
When I was in session with my instructor and we were going through it,
I vividly remember I could feel the tears coming down my face.
And it was a physical release of years of just blockages that were preventing that cohesion with my higher self.
Like,
And when it,
When it occurred,
It was such a,
A transformational event that at that point,
Nothing but personal development mattered anymore.
Nothing but mindset,
Nothing by just being your best self was,
You know,
There was no nothing else.
And there's still nothing else.
That's still what the goal is of just becoming your best self.
And it's there for everybody.
That's where the personal development of it all really comes from.
That's so amazing.
And you're so good at describing that.
It's so true that you definitely have to be in a certain place to want to,
To want to work out or to want to personally develop yourself and how you feel in your mind and how you also take care of your body.
They definitely go hand in hand.
It's about starting somewhere.
Right.
And then it kind of goes everywhere.
So you mentioned that your intuition is your way of your higher self messaging you.
Is there other ways that the higher self can talk to you as well?
Whatever that call of your consciousness is,
Is what it is.
Like it's coming internally.
You might see it outside and you know,
Well,
I'm synchronistic numbers.
If you see like three,
Three,
Three,
Four,
Four,
Four,
But then you've got to ask,
Why are you seeing those numbers?
Right?
Who's seeing those numbers?
Why are they in front of you?
It's still your higher self,
Right?
If we're all connected as one,
You're meant to see certain synchronicities when you're meant to see them.
So you're going to get messages from all over the place.
You know,
Like,
You know,
Today with your podcast,
When your internet wasn't working,
You know,
It wasn't time yet and it started working.
Now it's time.
So those are little messages,
Right?
There's little gems all over the place.
And it's just a matter of having your mind open to seeing the positive side of all those messages.
And even in the negative too,
There's a lot of learning experiences,
Right?
I don't see things as losses.
I see them as learning experiences.
So yeah,
The higher self is always throwing little gems at you and,
You know,
Throwing different things to make you aware of it.
And the perspective is what's important.
Like how do you view things?
Is it a positive?
Is it a negative?
Is it something that's beneficial?
So yeah,
It's all over the place.
It was happening all the time.
Definitely.
Definitely.
Is there a way that you would recommend for someone to maybe help them open themselves up to listening to their higher selves or their intuition more,
Getting more in touch with that?
Yeah,
It's going to sound pretty direct and,
You know,
But it's basically just being honest with yourself.
Really look,
Being honest,
Looking at yourself in the mirror,
Doing a self assessment on how your mind operates,
How your body looks,
How your,
Your soul is like,
What type of person are you?
It really takes,
It takes that initial step to do that.
And it's difficult.
It's difficult to admit what your faults are,
Right?
But where the faults lie within you and all three aspects is where the growth occurs,
Right?
So if you can be honest and know what your weaknesses are,
You will build strength in trying to make those weaknesses no longer a disability for you.
And that applies to anything across the board.
And,
You know,
Before you can start helping other people and even making a positive impact with others,
You need to seriously look inside yourself and realize what is it that's making me do certain things that cause regret.
Like regret will be your guideline.
If you realize that you wake up the next morning feeling not so good because of what you've ingested,
Right?
Whether it's something that you watched on television,
Something that you heard,
Something you ate,
Something you drank,
You know,
That guideline of,
Man,
I shouldn't have done that.
That's where it kind of first starts.
And you've got to go back and look at the patterns in your life of what you do and why you do those.
Like,
Why do you keep doing certain things that don't get you growth?
Why do you keep,
You know,
Moving forward and thinking that you're going to get a better result while you're still doing your same actions.
So it's about being brutally honest with yourself and having that self-acceptance and realizing that if you love yourself,
You can do better for yourself.
And it starts by doing little things.
You're not going to get to the end of the journey right away,
But making small adjustments in your day-to-day life,
Making small changes that promote your self-love is going to get you to where you eventually want to be.
Oh,
I love that.
Oh my gosh.
I feel like what you just said should be framed.
It was so good.
That's why it's called a journey,
Right?
Because it's like all great things take time and where we are now is going to be completely different down the line.
And that's a good thing because that means we're growing.
Well,
Definitely.
I mean,
We don't want to be stuck where we are right now.
Why?
Why not be better?
Why not achieve something better?
I really like your point also about,
I'm not sure if this is the best way to frame it,
But like questioning your actions and looking over things that you,
Decisions that you've made.
Like sometimes we are just plain ignorant and we just don't know better,
But sometimes we really do know better and we still do the same thing over and over.
And that's kind of like insanity,
Right?
It is.
And that's when the higher self kicks in.
When you know you shouldn't do something and you do it anyway,
The higher self is telling you,
Hey man,
Don't do this.
Or,
You know,
Please avoid doing that.
Right?
If you don't know,
That's one thing,
Right?
Not knowing is not your fault necessarily.
You're unaware,
But once you're aware and you're still making those choices,
Then that's on you.
You got to be honest.
Like,
Why am I still doing this?
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I think right now it's a good time to point out that we often do things in patterns and when we don't question our patterns,
It keeps happening because it's a pattern.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So in your perspective,
What do you believe is a person's sole purpose?
Everybody has a different sole purpose.
You might think that some people have the same sole purpose because we do physical things here in this earth,
Right?
We all have maybe the same type of jobs or,
You know,
We're into the same type of thing,
But everybody has a unique sole purpose and it's simple.
Everybody's sole purpose is themselves.
We are 7 billion plus people on this earth.
Out of all these people,
We are so unique and so different from ourselves as soul bodies,
Right?
That everybody has their own gift to give to the world.
And the purpose is achieved by looking within,
Self-discovering yourself,
And then you'll know what your purpose is.
And it's going to be different for everybody else.
There's no point in trying to compare or trying to do what somebody else did,
Find your way,
Discover who you are,
And then walk your path.
And then you become your purpose.
And once you are your purpose,
Then everything else starts falling in alignment with your purpose.
I love that.
So what are some tips you might give or advice that you might give to someone who's just starting off on this path on discovering themselves?
Number one thing is do not go back.
Don't give up on the path.
The path is never ending,
Right?
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and you got to continue taking those steps.
And I know it's easier said than done.
Sometimes we tend to fall back.
So if you think of the analogy of two steps forward,
One step back,
Don't think of the back step as something that's negative,
Like I'm losing progress or I'm further away from my goal,
But look at that back step as a time to reflect on how far I've come along and where I am on this journey and this path.
Two steps forward,
Great.
You're making progress.
And then the one step back is just to reevaluate where you've come because your goals,
Maybe even yourself,
As you travel along your path,
As you're discovering your purpose,
It could change.
And you can discover new things along the way that will cause you to potentially go and deviate a little bit from the path and follow something different.
You might be called to do something else along that path.
So that back step is necessary to evaluate.
And it's also a daily process.
If you shrink your lifetime down into a day and you start looking at things on a day-to-day basis rather than three months or six months,
12,
Whatever it might be,
It becomes easier to handle it.
And then once you get a mastery of looking at things in a day-to-day basis,
Then you can shrink it down even further.
So you get into being completely in the moment all the time.
And at that point,
You're unstoppable.
Absolutely.
I love that.
I just want to add in right now that I'm in the process of creating a whole new morning routine.
And yesterday I had meant to get up at 7.
30,
But I was just so tired that I didn't get out of bed until nine.
And instead of getting super mad at myself about it,
I'm like,
Okay,
This is my first day.
I need to give myself kindness and grace.
And today I actually woke up earlier.
So I think it's all about also giving yourself that kindness and that grace that make the plan of what you want to do,
But also when you're doing it,
Not beating yourself up every step of the way and knowing that you're going to get there,
Having faith because you're not going to give up.
That's not an option.
Definitely.
I mean,
We all have setbacks.
Success and success is not linear.
So there are going to be times where we do fall back,
But it's how you bounce back,
Right?
Like you missed it yesterday,
But today you got it.
So cool.
That's a win.
And then tomorrow you'll know what it feels like to miss it.
You'll understand what it feels like to gain it.
So tomorrow you're going to do something to progress you in the way you're going.
And it's okay to miss.
It's okay to miss,
But it's what you do when you miss that counts,
How you react,
How you talk to yourself in those times.
And the self-talk has to be affirming.
It has to be positive.
So you don't get down on yourself and then you completely deviate from your path.
Totally totally.
Tell me more about self-talk and maybe how can we improve that?
It goes back to,
I think being honest with yourself and knowing what works for you internally.
Some people operate in a matter where compassion works more often than not.
You got to be kind of gentle with certain people and you have to be a little more empathetic and come at them from a different perspective,
A softer side,
Potentially.
There's some people that operate with just blandness like,
Hey,
Do this,
Do that task-oriented and other people you have to yell at almost like a drill Sergeant.
Yeah,
That's definitely true.
Yeah.
And the way you talk to yourself is the way you do things also.
So if your self-talk is negative,
You're going to come out with negative actions,
Right?
Thoughts always proceed actions.
So when you're saying to yourself internally,
It should always be positive in one form or the other.
And if it's difficult for somebody to have positive self-talks,
There's certain things that happen throughout everybody's daily life that are positive.
So I would say to focus on the positive things,
Right?
One thing that's always positive and nobody can deny this,
The fact that we wake up in the morning,
Right?
You're awake,
You woke up,
You made it out of this deep sleep.
You made it out of the slumber of night.
Your consciousness came back into your body.
You're alive.
You're awake.
Like every day is a beautiful day to be alive.
Exactly.
Therefore like start building off of that,
That first initial thought of the morning would start to get yourself geared up in a positive way to then everything else will start looking a little more better than it was a day before.
And it'll just have a carry over effect.
Absolutely.
Whenever anyone asks me,
How's your day going?
Or how are you?
I say,
I'm doing fantastic because I am the mere fact that we are existing and alive and breathing.
I mean that in itself is already a gift.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I feel the exact same way.
Yeah,
Totally.
So what are the three myths about mindset and can you debunk it?
I mean,
It's hard to say about mindset specifically.
I mean,
Maybe that it has to be taught in some sort of way.
Like you could read it and then you'll get it.
But I think that action is what makes things actually be true for you,
Right?
Not only could read a book and understand things,
But can you actually apply the knowledge that you gained?
That might be the biggest thing out there.
You can't live something out just by knowing about it.
You have to put it into action.
And it goes hand in hand,
Right?
The mind,
The body,
The soul,
They all connect together.
So you could have a mindset to be able to do something,
But if you don't do it,
What's the point of knowing it?
You didn't do it.
And it applies,
I think all the way across.
And once those connections are made,
Once you put the physical acts into this reality and you start doing it,
Then everything relating to mindset,
I think begins to develop and evolve even more.
Like we're human.
We're still as spiritual as we might be,
But there's still a humanness to us,
Right?
We still have to fuel our bodies.
We still have to get rid of our waste.
We still have to take care of our entire physical beings and we shouldn't get too far away from that.
It's the power of being a human,
Right?
Doing some of these physical tasks that we have,
Breathing,
For example,
We don't notice we're breathing,
But we're breathing,
Right?
Our hearts are beating.
With mindset,
It has to be a combination of both mind and body.
And then once you align those two,
The soul aspect comes in and that goes there.
So that's kind of like the one,
I don't know if I can come up with another two off bat.
That's okay.
Yeah.
You totally stand by what you mean by action.
That's what it really comes down to,
Right?
Because we can talk and talk and talk,
But it's just doesn't go anywhere without action.
And same with having actually action,
But no mission or idea where you want to go.
You got to have kind of both.
You got to have a direction for it.
I think it's more of a waste of time if you're doing something and you are not necessarily doing it to the best of your ability.
I think you're wasting your time.
You might as well just not do it.
Yeah.
That was actually one thing that I learned from my dad.
He taught me to do my best and everything that I do.
He said,
If you do your best at everything that you do,
Then everything will be meaningful.
It's beautiful.
It's totally true.
It's totally true.
Yeah,
Absolutely.
So I'm really curious to hear about what is your point of view on this?
So what do you think it means to be self-aware?
It means that the choices you make in your life are for the benefit of the entire good of the collective,
Right?
Whether it's something that you choose to think,
Whether it's something you choose to do physically,
You have a knowing that your actions,
Your thoughts are affecting everybody else around you.
That awareness and knowing that even if you smash a bug outside,
That's not necessarily bothering you,
But knowing that that little creature has a life,
Has some sort of purpose here,
And we shouldn't disparage it.
That awareness and being connected with everything else is truly being aware.
That's where being in alignment comes in.
The trees outside,
And you look at the bigger picture too,
You look at the cosmos,
It's like,
Wow,
Your brain really will melt if you think like,
Damn it,
All this stuff is really connected to us,
Right?
We're connected to the furthest reaches of space.
We can't even fathom at this point,
But we're still connected.
And that is being aware to me.
That's being in alignment.
It's being exactly what we should be doing here on this 3D earth,
Is being connected to everything through a physical knowing.
That's beautiful.
Yeah.
I am very passionate about no kill,
Like not killing bugs,
Not killing spiders,
Just nothing.
They have their existence too.
So love that you pointed that out and the connectedness.
I want to talk about connectedness,
But I also want to ask.
So for someone who wants to gauge maybe how aware they are,
What are a few questions that you would recommend someone could ask themselves?
Number one question,
What regrets do I have?
And if you have a long list of regrets,
What are you doing about those regrets?
That'll let you know how aware you are.
Because once you know something,
You can't go back on that,
Right?
Once you know what you have to do when you continue to do something differently,
Like why,
Why are you doing that for?
So it's that awareness of self.
Like how am I really going about my day?
How am I really going about my life?
Am I doing the things that I want to be doing or am I making excuses?
So that to me is always like,
Regret will be your guideline no matter what.
And that regret is a call from the universe.
Hey,
Don't do this,
But yet you do it.
Why?
Because it's easy or it's comforting or it's going to be something that will pacify my need in the meantime for whatever.
So the awareness isn't there.
Like if you know that by doing steps A,
B,
And C,
You're going to achieve your goal,
But you only choose to do step A,
You're not really aware of what the next steps and the benefits of those are going to be.
So always just check in with yourself and see where your regret lines are.
It sounds a lot like also checking with your intentions.
It is.
It is when you set an intention,
It's your intention to set,
Right?
What are you going to do with your intention?
For example,
I'm guilty of this too.
In my earlier years,
Before I became a little more self-aware,
You could say,
I would hit the snooze button when I go to sleep.
And when I think back on it,
The night before I set the intention to wake up at whatever time in the morning,
8 AM,
But 8 AM comes and I hit the snooze button.
I'm already tapping out on my own intentions.
And this is the first action of my day to say,
No,
I'm not going to do this Roberto.
I'm not going to do what you wanted to do yesterday.
Like I'm working against myself.
And those intentions that are set,
Like they're your intentions.
Like if I say,
I'm going to do this,
You need to come through.
You need to build self-accountability in that sense.
And the intentions could be anything,
Anything you want them to be.
And if they're true intentions and they're pure and they come from a divine source,
You're going to make them happen.
Not at all costs.
You're not going to get crazy with it,
But you're going to really do your best to get there and to make those intentions actually manifest into reality.
Yeah,
So it sounds like discipline plays a big part in this as well.
It does.
It's a baseline to it all like discipline,
Like you're in control of yourself,
Right?
It's kind of the only thing that we have is control of our will,
Our behavior and our intentions as humans,
Right?
This applies to anybody.
Like you have,
We have free will,
We've been blessed.
We can make the choices,
Right?
Those choices will involve behaviors.
How are you going to go about it?
What are you going to do with the opportunity to make a decision?
Are you going to make something,
Make a decision that's good for you?
You can make a decision that will make it easy for you.
Like it is,
It is a lot of discipline and it's daily discipline too,
Right?
And it's,
It's not easy,
Not easy to attain.
It's hard.
But you know,
If we live in the comfort zone,
We're never going to progress.
Like that,
That place of doing the hard stuff is where the most growth lies and where you can actually level up and get to that next stage of personal development.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's really great.
I'm so glad that we're touching on this with the discipline and everything else that we've talked about because they all work together.
It's so incredible.
You've mentioned a few times about creating a practice and how having a daily practice is more practical than looking at things from a three month or six month perspective.
What are steps that someone can take to create a mindful practice of their own?
This is something that I'm really passionate about because we all kind of go through this.
We all do go through this,
Right?
So this is my perspective on like every day.
So I look at my life now,
Like every day is its own lifetime.
So in the morning when I'm awake,
I'm born again.
Yesterday doesn't matter.
Tomorrow's not even here yet.
So I wake up in the morning and I'm born.
And my first thought is always a positive.
It's a beautiful day to be alive.
And at that point,
You know,
Your day goes on,
It progresses.
And when you get to night and you go to bed,
I look at it as like,
My life is over.
Like I've died.
Right.
And every day that lifetime is over.
So that process and that repeated cycle,
It makes the days go by quicker in a sense.
And I'm a big proponent of taking the first,
However long you need in the morning for self-care,
No matter what it is.
If you want to be left alone in your bed for three hours and just ruminate on things,
Do with it.
But take that time in the morning to become in alignment with yourself,
To get into a state of flow,
To have your energy and your vibe be high.
That way you can go out in the world throughout that day and sustain that high level and be able to give it to other people.
You know,
When you first wake up,
That sets the tone for the day,
How you wake up,
What you're thinking,
What you do,
How you treat yourself is going to dictate how you treat others throughout the day,
How you treat yourself throughout the day.
And it's,
It's a daily process,
Right?
Whatever it might be.
I highly suggest coming up with a self-care routine in the morning that works for you,
That gets you in alignment and just putting that thing on repeat,
Hit that repeat button and just do it over and over again.
And if you keep up with your own program,
Eventually you'll get to the end result,
Which is your goal.
Your purpose will become actualized and realized.
And you start shrinking down the time,
The time,
The time into doing little acts that get you into alignment.
For me,
Like I wake up first thing,
Right?
Like I said,
It's a beautiful day to be alive.
I go into reflective journaling.
What did I do wrong yesterday?
What were my regrets?
What did I miss out on in my life?
Where could I improve?
I checked the astrology.
I'm into astrology.
I check where the planets are.
Let me see what the energies are like.
You know,
I drink my coffee,
I do my thing and I jumped into yoga,
Yoga and meditation combined for me works.
I'm able to reflect.
I'm able to think about the day I get into alignment.
And that takes about two to three hours of my morning.
But then the rest of the day is beautiful.
You know,
I'm just,
I'm out there to shoot and high vibes everywhere.
Can't be stopped.
I feel incredible.
And it just keeps building and building and compounding day by day.
That is so incredible.
And I love how when you say that you have a little smell on your face.
It just really goes to show how self nourishing it is to have a morning routine and take care of yourself at the beginning of the day.
You know,
I haven't thought about it that way too,
But it is very self nourishing.
Yeah,
You're right.
Like it's,
You know,
I do it now as a process and a routine,
But I do nourish myself in the morning like that.
That's how I just the word nourishing,
Right?
It's a powerful word.
And just thinking about it that way,
I hadn't looked at it like that.
So thanks for throwing that one out there.
And whatever.
Of course,
I'm going to consider that one going forward to like,
I'm nourishing my body.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
So thank you so much for sharing that.
What is a message that you would share with or that you would want to tell your 20 year old self?
Oh my goodness.
That's so many things.
Number one,
Don't be impetuous.
Don't just jump into things,
Right?
Ask what my,
You know,
Basically tell them like,
Hey man,
It's cool to not get your results right away.
Don't try to take the easy path.
Don't try to get the results tomorrow that you know are going to be kind of empty,
You know,
And just stick to a daily process.
That's going to yield self-improvement,
You know,
Have a long view,
But don't get wrapped up in meeting immediate success,
Right?
Don't tap out.
I used to tap out of a lot of things before I didn't get my results that I wanted.
Was it getting validated for whatever reason?
And I would tap out.
So the main thing I would tell them is just to stick to the plan day by day,
Moment by moment,
Have an eye on the prize down the line,
But also keep a focus on a gradual and steady improvement until you reach the level of comfortability to win.
Then you have to like add something else to the mix and,
You know,
Try to step it up even more.
So stick to the plan and don't deviate.
Yeah.
I love that advice.
I really just add on to what you're saying before.
I believe that it's very possible to achieve your dream and with continued everyday discipline and action,
You really can actualize it.
Just for example,
I was just celebrating because I got my CPC and this was something that I've been working really hard at,
Like really,
Really hard for about the last year specifically,
But for about two years that I've had this dream since I've had my podcast.
So it's just really incredible how when you have persistence,
It does come to fruition.
It does.
Congratulations too,
Brother.
Thank you.
Yeah,
And how does it feel now that you've achieved what you've been going after and you put the work in and now you got it?
Like how do you feel?
How does that make you vibe?
Well,
I feel fantastic.
You know,
It just comes at the perfect time because I just honestly feel like I've never been in a better place in my life and I just feel incredible.
Right.
And that's such a good feeling,
Right?
Don't you want to achieve that all the time now?
Like,
Hey,
What else is there?
What else can make you feel so good?
It's almost like a natural high.
Yeah.
So I definitely have like so much planned out that I,
You know,
My mission that I'm still striving to achieve.
So this is just one of the first steps that I finally accomplished.
There's so much more to do,
But definitely celebrated.
Of course.
Yes,
Of course.
You got to celebrate those milestones.
You got to celebrate the victories.
Yeah.
I had a nice pint or I think it was a pint of sangria.
It was so good.
So when it comes to mindset,
Are there like phrases or scripts that you would recommend someone or like affirmations?
I'm not sure if you're big into that,
But that you might recommend for someone to try out.
I definitely would.
I have my own that I use,
Right?
Like I've said it before.
It's a beautiful day to be alive.
Keep reminding myself of that one all the time.
And it's really whatever works for any individual.
It could be anything,
You know,
Let's go or whatever it might be like,
You know,
Get into gear or you're beautiful.
You know,
You're whatever it might be that makes you feel positive and makes you get more into that alignment with yourself.
Whatever you have to say,
Say it.
I would recommend putting it on paper as often as possible.
You know,
Always have it on the forefront when things get,
You know,
Maybe complicated or a little bit negative,
Shoot that mantra to yourself,
Shoot out that affirmation.
And it doesn't have to be anybody else's mantra.
It doesn't have to be anybody else's affirmation,
But it kind of goes back to what we talked about at the beginning of the episode that you have to look in the mirror and be honest with yourself and what works for you,
What it's going to make you get triggered in a positive way to remain in that state of alignment.
Right.
So,
You know,
Put it on paper like to anybody who doesn't know,
Write it down to see what the universe spits out at you.
Those are divine messages from source and,
You know,
You shouldn't be held back by what are people going to think or maybe this doesn't sound right.
Hey,
If it works and it resonates with you,
Go for it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's what's most important,
Right?
Finding something that resonates with you.
Most definitely.
It sounds like accountability also comes into a really big,
Well,
It comes into this really big,
You know,
You're saying being really honest with yourself,
Finding something that resonates with you,
But then at the same time,
It begs the question,
Like as a coach,
I also like when someone puts an action plan into place,
I always ask them,
Okay,
So how are you going to keep yourself accountable for this?
And then it sounds like that it just goes back to again,
Being honest with yourself.
How are you going to keep yourself accountable?
It's tough.
It really is.
It's hard.
And it's just,
That's why I think if you think about it,
Like on a big scale,
Right,
If you're on like a,
You know,
A long-term program or something like that,
And you're looking to get those results,
It's not going to happen overnight.
It's just not,
You've got to really scale it back to the point of,
You know,
Just taking it moment by moment,
Opportunity by opportunity.
One thing that I've been saying to myself lately when I do things,
And,
You know,
I've heard it with you were saying about asking yourself the questions,
Why,
Right?
The 22 questions of why,
Like why we do certain things and all that,
And asking what the benefit is,
You know,
Like,
What's the ROI on this that I'm going through?
Like,
What's the return on the investment for my time and my energy?
I'm going to put energy into this.
What's going to be the return on investment for me?
If it's worth it,
Good.
I do it.
If it's not,
I don't,
You know,
And it's about an honest assessment,
You know,
Like this does sound cool now.
This would be fun,
But is it going to benefit me tomorrow?
Probably not.
So maybe I won't,
You know,
It's constantly reevaluating where you are and having your brain,
You know,
Function in a way that is going to benefit you.
Definitely.
So I want to touch on this before we start closing up.
What would you,
I guess what I'm curious about is,
So for someone who might be getting in their own way a lot,
How,
How,
What would you recommend for someone who basically is getting in their way a lot,
Whether it's like mentally or emotionally?
It would really depend because it depends what they're getting in their way with,
You know,
If it's something physical,
It's physical.
If it's emotional,
It's emotional.
I mean,
If it's a mental block,
It's the block like that.
Yeah.
So really it's an individual perspective on it for everybody.
And you know,
You could always,
In my opinion,
Scale it back to doing something daily that's positive for you and doing something physically,
Right.
Whatever it might be,
Whether it's,
You know,
Like I said,
I don't know,
Working out,
Doing whatever,
It's always a baseline,
You know,
And also to like,
What are we ingest?
Right.
What are you eating?
You know,
If you're getting in your way,
You still got to eat.
You know,
If you have a mental block or something like that,
You still have to eat.
And it's about making those choices,
But it's difficult to give a general answer to that one because people have different struggles,
You know,
And as somebody who works with people and you know,
As a therapist,
I have to be cognizant of the fact that there might be underlying issues there for people that are preventing them from actualizing what they really want to do and what those blocks are.
Some people,
Like some situations are sensitive and you know,
Those underlying issues might be affecting a whole bunch of things on the surface.
So it's,
You gotta be really,
Really careful with not putting people into a box of this is why you're not doing it.
It's we got to understand what it is that's causing you to act a certain type of way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that is heavily discovered with therapy or coaching and disrupting those patterns.
Definitely.
Yeah.
It's one of the main causes like our traumas are something that we all have one way or the other.
We're children.
We don't understand what's going on.
The world is a big,
Crazy place.
And you know,
Understanding where those traumas actually originated from is a big step in moving forward.
I mean,
It's what helped me with my situation.
I realized a lot of the patterns that I had in my life were because I was trying to fill a void from childhood that I didn't know existed.
I'm like,
Wow,
Really?
Like I look back and I was doing that like,
Wow,
That's crazy.
So you know,
Once you kind of dive in a little bit and have that honest self-talk with yourself and I did it with my higher self,
I took the higher self to come in and give me that support as a resource,
To be able to look into the mirror with a little more confidence,
Knowing that,
Hey,
It's going to be okay.
And then once I was able to kind of,
You know,
Get rid of the old patterns,
I was able to rewrite the new ones.
Now,
You know,
I do my daily process.
Things are good and gravy,
But that's where the real like deep soul work comes in,
Wanting to tap into the trauma,
Right?
You have to want to in order to really heal yourself.
That's true.
You definitely have to want to.
I also want to touch on really quickly.
Reframing,
Reframing your negative.
I don't like to say negative,
You know,
Because everything has a purpose,
But the more,
Uh,
Catabolic energy level thoughts and stuff like that.
Can you describe briefly what is reframing and how could someone do that in their lives?
It's just a perspective.
That's it.
Like,
How are you looking at it from what side of the coin?
You know,
Imagine a sphere,
You know,
The sphere has two sides to it,
Right?
Like the world,
You know,
The earth,
It has the magnetic poles,
You know,
North,
South,
All that.
It's just looking at it from the opposite side.
So for example,
Um,
I don't like to say the word busy.
It's not my thing.
Like if people say,
Hey,
How are you,
Man?
I'm not busy.
Like I'm productive,
You know,
Using different words to trigger a more positive reaction within yourself.
And I try to use that a lot,
Like with learning,
For example,
Like instead of losing,
I learn to be positive.
You know,
It was an experience like that in that sense.
Um,
It could be my,
My son told me this one the other day.
He's like,
Dad,
I'm tired.
And I'm like,
Bro,
You're not tired.
You're accomplished.
You did a lot of things today.
You did a lot of good things today.
Like you're not tired.
You know,
You might be fatigued,
But you're not tired.
And it's just changing out words that have a negative connotation to them,
Or just a negative stigma and replacing them with positive words.
And this could apply to a whole bunch of different scenarios in your life,
No matter what it might be.
But it's also thinking critically about it too.
You know,
If you're feeling a certain type of way internally,
That's not at your most optimal.
How is it that I'm talking to myself,
Right?
What are the words that I'm saying to myself?
How's this self-talk going?
And if it's negative,
You got to reframe it to be positive.
Like,
Oh,
You did a great job today as opposed to you didn't do enough.
Right.
It's just looking at it from the other side of it.
I love that.
I'm also glad that we got to talk about that.
It's it could make,
It makes everything.
It could really make or break you.
Not necessarily like,
You,
You,
You know what I mean?
I got you.
I got you.
You know,
Cause your perspective is everything.
It's going to determine how you do everything and how you do everything determines your results.
It's so incredible.
So we've shared a lot of really good information.
Thank you so much.
Is there any final messages that you would like to share with or with listeners?
Yeah,
Definitely that whatever it is that you want to do in this life,
Whatever your purpose,
Your sole purpose is actualizing just by realizing that you are your purpose.
At the end of the day,
We are here as individual souls in these meat sacks,
These bodies that we have,
And you are the reason why you're here.
It's not to appease anybody else.
It's not to make somebody else happy or be a certain type of person in society.
We're all connected,
But you're still an individual.
And the way you treat yourself is the way the universe will treat you as well.
So that self-talk,
The self-care,
The mindfulness that it takes to be a positive and joyful human is available to everybody.
And it starts with daily acts of gratitude.
Be grateful to yourself.
Thank yourself for waking up or showing up.
And once you get that high vibe and that high energy going,
Give it away to other people.
Let them feel it as well.
But always start within,
Always look there and just know that you're capable of experiencing joy and gratitude on a daily basis all the time.
Absolutely.
I love that message.
Thank you so much.
