This is Justin Michael Williams,
And welcome to your practice.
You know,
One of the collective traumas many of us face is having to be someone we're not in order to be safe and validated and loved.
And this is why pride is so important because we get to celebrate the truth of who we really are in all of our colors.
And you deserve to live in the freedom that is your birthright.
You are enough exactly as you are.
It's so often that we have to put up that false face to be accepted.
And then what happens is as we get older,
We have trouble knowing who we really are because we've been so busy being someone that we're not.
And this practice today will help you get in touch with the true you so that you can bring that version of yourself out into the world with confidence,
Motivation,
Authenticity,
Grace,
And pride.
Let's get started.
I'd like you to find a comfortable way to sit.
And I don't want you to get like meditation comfortable.
I want you to get super comfortable.
So really let yourself just sit back and relax and chill.
My only request is that you don't lay down.
And then place one hand over the center of your chest and the other hand on top of that.
This releases a little oxytocin into the body.
And on the count of three,
I want you to exhale everything out of your system through your nose if you can.
But if you can't breathe through your nose,
Don't worry.
Just breathe through your mouth but purse your lips kind of like you're sucking or blowing through a straw.
All right,
Here we go.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale everything out of your system and come to completely empty.
Now to my count of three,
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold for one,
Two,
Three.
Exhale one,
Two,
Three.
Great.
We're gonna do that again.
Breathe a little more deeply.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three.
Hold for one,
Two,
Three.
Exhale one,
Two.
You got it.
Three.
Last time.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three.
Hold this one a little bit longer.
I want you to sip in a little bit more air now like you can breathe all the way up into your collarbone,
Into your throat,
Into your jaw.
Hold the breath.
Expand your capacity to be alive.
And now slowly and silently let it all out as quietly as you possibly can.
Great.
And now just breathe normally.
And you can keep your hands over your heart if you're comfortable this way.
And I'm going to now invite you into a short visualization with me.
And I want you to remember that as we do this visualization,
Some people visualize by seeing images in their heads,
But some of us don't visualize that way at all.
Some of us visualize by hearing sounds in our minds and some of us visualize with our emotions so we feel things in our bodies and some of us visualize with smell or with taste.
There's so many different ways to imagine.
And so in this practice,
If I'm asking you to visualize or imagine something and you're not seeing it clearly or it's fuzzy or blurry or incomplete,
I want you to focus your awareness on what you are experiencing instead of what you're not experiencing.
This is a good teaching for our lives and so we'll practice it here.
All right,
Here we go.
Soften into your body.
Eyes closed if you're comfortable doing so.
And I want you to imagine a future version of yourself who is living the life of your dreams.
Everything is exactly as you've always wanted and dreamed of.
And if that feels impossible,
Good.
Because if we can't think beyond our current circumstances,
How can we ever expect to live beyond our current circumstances?
I want this to feel like if it came true that your life would be a miracle.
So just let yourself go there with me.
Like you can rub a magic lamp,
Anything's possible.
What do you notice in this vision of your future self?
So if you have multiple visions kind of shuffling around in your mind,
See if you can just land on one and we'll start to dimensionalize this a little bit.
Notice in this vision of this future you.
Did you land indoors or are you outdoors in this vision of your future self?
Who is living the life of your dreams?
Are you indoors or outdoors?
Just notice.
Notice if there's anybody there with you or if you're alone.
And notice what's happening in this vision that indicates to you that something's changed,
That something's different,
That you are indeed living the life of your dreams.
What's happening about to happen already happened.
Great.
And now just scan around yourself in the vision.
And I want you to see yourself as best as you can.
And see the environment around you.
And pick up as many colors and textures and things in this environment as you can.
And see yourself living in your full light.
And finally notice how this future you feels.
What does it feel like to be living the life of your dreams?
And now keeping this vision in mind,
I'm going to ask you a question.
And I want you to answer this question using one,
Two,
Or three words.
The first words that come to your mind.
Here's your question.
As you look at this future version of yourself who's living the life of your dreams,
What energy do you need to cultivate more of in your life now,
Today,
To become that person that you're seeing in your vision?
I'll ask it again.
One,
Two,
Or three words.
What energy do you need to cultivate more of in your life now to become the person in your vision?
Trust the first words that arise.
And then just like we started our practice today,
We're gonna do three deep full breaths together.
And on these three breaths,
I want you to imagine that you are literally inhaling the energy of your words.
Like they are bathing you,
Soothing you,
Healing you with exactly what you need.
Covering every crevice of your inner and outer body.
And the words can even turn into a light or a color or a texture if you like.
Or you can just even imagine the words themselves.
So on the count of three,
Exhale everything out of your system through your nose.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale everything out.
There you go.
And now inhaling your words.
Inhale with me for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold the breath now and fill yourself up with these words.
And then exhale now for one,
Two,
Three.
Great.
We're gonna do it again.
But this time,
When you inhale,
You will fill yourself up with the energy of your words.
And when you exhale,
You'll send the energy of these words out to everyone you love and everyone in the world who needs it.
Let's do it again.
Ready?
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold the breath for one,
Two,
Three.
And exhale,
Send it out for one,
Two,
Three.
Beautiful.
One last time,
All together,
Coming together from all over the world with this incredible global community.
We inhale the energy that we need and we exhale and send it out to everyone who needs it.
Last time.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold the breath now.
Hold it a little longer and expand your capacity.
Call in the energy that you need to be your fullest,
Most authentic self.
And then exhale it out for one,
Two,
And three.
Take one last deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And begin to transition out of your practice.
This is beautiful work and I want you to recognize the power of what it is that we just did because what we did is we ultimately said,
Here's who you are now and here's who you want to become.
And notice that we said there's a gap between who we're being now and who we want to become.
And notice that I didn't ask you what do you need to do to fill that gap.
We're all so busy doing.
I said who do you need to be?
Who do you need to be?
And you know your words.
The real point of meditation is to realize that the guru is within you.
Is to come back to trusting your own instincts and intuition.
Is to trusting the true you.
Is to coming home to our authentic self,
To your authentic self.
And when we get quiet enough to listen,
That voice will speak to you just like it did today.
And so my request of you is that you bring this energy into your life now.
Because if you bring this energy out into the world,
It's gonna change the world.
And one by one we will be ripples creating waves of change.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
May you always know that you are worthy,
You are ready,
You are enough,
And you deserve to live the life of your dreams no matter what you've been through and no matter what you're going through.
This is Justin Michael Williams signing out.
I love you and I'll meet you right here in this special place the next time we practice together.
Bye for now.
