
Transcending Fear
This guided meditation experience is designed with the intention to transcend fear. We dive deep into the place of fear and give it space to move, to breathe. Then move into a place of trust. I play vibrational sound bowls and create a soundscape journey.

Welcome to the meditation,
Transcendence here.
My name is Julie Brown and I'll be guiding you through this practice today.
Begin by finding a comfortable position sitting down.
This could be on the floor with the legs crossed or in a chair with the feet on the ground.
Feel the sitz bones rooted,
Connected to the earth.
Spine grows long,
Shoulders back and relaxed,
Chest open.
Lengthen the neck,
Crown reaches up to the sky.
Palms relaxed face up in your lap.
Bring your awareness to your breath,
Your own natural rhythm.
Without trying to change it or judge it,
Just notice it.
Is it shallow,
Is it deep?
Where in your body do you feel the expansion and the contraction?
Begin just noticing as your natural rhythm breathes you.
And on your next inhale,
Begin to deepen your breath.
Deepen and inhale by a second or two,
Lengthen and exhale by a second or two.
Feel the body expand on the inhale and contract on the exhale.
Two more deep breaths here at your own pace.
And let that go and return to your own natural rhythm.
This meditation is designed to help transcend fear.
We approach fear from a different perspective with an invitation for it to have space and allow it to move through the body and out to the ethers.
I invite you to bring deeper awareness to the body.
Begin to scan the body,
Starting with the head.
Facial muscles relax,
Jaw softens,
Shoulders relaxed,
Heart is open.
Lips and sits bones sink into the earth,
Feeling grounded,
Supported,
Safe.
Tune into the sensations in the body.
Where in the body do you feel fear?
Where does it feel unsafe?
And I invite you to place your hands in that spot.
Hold it.
Nurture it.
Allow it to be.
We are working today with the emotion fear.
There's no need to attach a story to the fear,
Where the fear came from,
What it's about.
Let that go.
And allow the emotion to be.
To be present.
Give it space to breathe.
Welcome the fear.
Thank the fear.
I even like to ask the fear if there's anything it has to say.
Thank you fear.
I love you fear.
Breathe into the fear.
A couple deep breaths into that space.
As you breathe deeper into that space,
Imagine the fear dissipating.
With each breath,
Breathe into the fear.
And with each exhale,
Feel the fear dissolve.
Melting away.
A couple more breaths here.
Feeling the fear release from the body.
If any movement wants to happen to encourage release,
Any vocal tones want to come through,
Allow that to happen.
You might like to shake or tone vocally as this fear moves through the body and back to the earth.
For sweet mamogaya to compost.
However you feel called to move this emotion is perfect.
This is your journey.
We are our own best teachers.
This is a time to tap into our inner wisdom.
What is our body asking for?
What is our soul asking for?
As the fear dissolves,
Thanking it again for being part of our experience.
A couple more breaths here.
And let that go.
Release the hands back into the lap.
Tune back into the body.
Take a couple breaths,
Noticing if anything shifted.
And breathing into that space.
I invite you now to find an area of your body that you feel safe.
That you feel love.
That you feel light.
And as you find that space,
Gently place your hands there.
Feel your hands hold that space with love and light.
Breathing into that space.
With each breath,
Feeling that place beginning to expand.
It may start off as a small space of light.
With each breath,
We grow it a little bigger.
And a little bigger.
Blossoming,
Trickling out into each cell.
Into the surrounding organs.
Into the muscles in the bones.
Continue to breathe in and out.
Imagining this light filling up the body.
Filling up the entire body.
Making its way into the places of darkness.
Flooding the dark with this bright light.
Feel the light reach up through the head.
And down through the feet,
Through each toe.
Illuminating the entire body.
What do the cells feel like?
What are the sensations?
The light goes down through the feet into mamagaya.
Up through the crown of the head to the heavens.
As the light goes out,
It comes back in.
It's this beautiful circle of light going out,
Coming in.
The whole body is illuminated with bright white light.
Feel the love,
The peace.
As every cell shines a little bit brighter.
And a little bit brighter.
And a little bit brighter.
Take a few deep breaths into this space.
Be with this feeling.
The feeling of pure light.
With the feet planted fully on the ground,
With the sits bones rooted on the earth.
Feel yourself connected.
Grounded.
Supported.
Bring your hands to your dantian,
The space two inches below the navel.
Take a couple breaths into this space.
This is the center of our being.
This is the point at which we ground ourselves into the center of the earth.
Imagine a cord from the center of the space going down into the core of the earth.
Can be anything you'd like.
A violet rope.
A beam of white light.
A beautiful crystal.
An elegant rose.
Feel the connection between the center of you and the center of the earth.
Breathe into that space.
With each inhale,
Breathe in the sweet,
Sweet essence of mamogaya.
Feel yourself completely nourished.
Full.
Grounded.
Safe.
Secure.
Loved.
Release that image.
Bring your awareness back into your body.
Notice any sensations in the body.
What do the cells feel like?
Take a mental note of the sensations.
This deep state of relaxation.
Moving into this place of trust.
We feel warm in the body.
Tingly.
Light.
Peaceful.
This feeling is always inside of us.
We always have access to this.
Everything we desire is inside of us.
A couple more breaths,
Breathing deeply into this space.
Feel the nourishment.
Support.
Groundedness.
Love.
Peace.
Honor yourself for showing up today and being here in the practice.

The light in me sees and honors the light in you.
