Through deep relaxation and creative visualization, you'll discover and embody the qualities that support you—whether that's confidence, courage, resilience, or peace. The practice uses body awareness and imaginative techniques to help these supportive qualities integrate into your unconscious mind, so they continue working for you even after the session ends. Start by just getting comfortable.

You can let the eyes close and just taking a moment even now knowing that you don't have to do anything special,

Anything particular,

Just noticing your body making contact with the surface that you're sitting on or lying down on.

Noticing the places where maybe your back makes contact with that surface or your legs or your arms and just noticing how even right now it's possible to rest back even more into that surface that's supporting you.

Knowing that you can just let gravity do its thing.

If there's any place that you notice there's a little holding or bracing in the body,

You can very gently invite it to relax.

It doesn't have to be a huge shift,

It can be very subtle.

Now just beginning to notice that it's possible to imagine or sense the space behind your eyes.

Just imagining that space behind your eyes,

The space behind your forehead.

You might even breathe a little bit of ease or relaxation into that space.

Just imagining the space between your ears.

Again,

Imagining that you could just soften or relax all that space between the ears.

And then noticing the space inside your mouth,

The surface area of the roof of your mouth,

The surface area and space of the inside of your cheeks,

Space inside your mouth,

Even the surface area and space inside your tongue.

And just allowing yourself as you sense into that space inside your tongue to let that muscle of the tongue start to soften and relax.

And as the tongue relaxes it might come down from the roof of your mouth or it might just soften.

Just gently noticing how you can let that tongue relax.

And as you do noticing the space inside your jaw and letting those muscles in your jaw also start to relax.

And just allowing yourself now to notice a space in between your shoulder blades.

Imagining all that space and maybe breathing a little relaxation into that space between the shoulders.

Bringing your attention to the space between your right shoulder and your right elbow.

Noticing the space inside and around you.

Letting that space blend together.

And noticing the space between your right elbow and your right wrist.

Imagining or sensing or feeling all that space.

And then imagining the space inside the palm of your right hand.

Noticing the space inside the fingers of the right hand.

Letting yourself imagine or sense or notice the space all around those fingers.

Letting the space inside those fingers and around those fingers just blend together.

Noticing all that space.

Moving your attention over to your left hand.

Noticing all the space in the fingers of your left hand.

And all that space around those fingers.

The space inside the left palm.

And the space all around that left hand.

Letting all that space just blend together.

Noticing the space between your left wrist and your left elbow.

And all the space around that left wrist and left elbow.

Blending all that space.

Imagining that space between your left elbow and your left shoulder.

And feeling or sensing all that space inside the arm and around the arm.

And just starting to notice all the space around your entire body.

Imagining or sensing or feeling the way that space outside of you and the space inside of you can just start to blend gently together.

Feeling all that space.

And in just a moment I'll invite you to imagine a beautiful staircase.

Knowing that at the end of this staircase you'll reach a place where you can come into greater contact with the gifts or the strengths,

Qualities that'll support you most.

But for now,

Just imagining that beautiful staircase in front of you.

And making your way along that staircase as I count one.

Noticing what those stairs are made of.

Knowing that they might be made of stone or wood or something else.

Two,

Knowing as you move along that staircase you can become more relaxed.

You can move more deeply inwards.

Three,

Knowing that you can go very deeply here because of all the work you've already done.

Four,

As you move towards the end of the staircase noticing that there's a beautiful door or an opening.

And that this might lead somewhere relaxing and beautiful like a forest or a place in nature.

Or somewhere that you'd simply just feel comfortable.

And five,

Letting yourself step through that doorway.

Finding yourself in that place that's beautiful or relaxing or comfortable.

Knowing that you can trust your imagination and your intuition here.

And knowing as you find yourself in this place that in just a moment you'll be able to happen upon a beautiful box almost like a treasure chest.

You might find it waiting for you on a table or on the ground.

Hidden somewhere special.

Just allowing yourself to imagine that right now you could walk up to that beautiful treasure box or jewelry box or something else.

You might even take a moment to decorate it knowing that this box can contain everything you need.

Imagining what it looks like,

How big it is,

Maybe what it feels like to hold it in your hands.

It might be colorful or decorated.

Just allowing yourself to imagine in this creative way you can make this look or feel however you want.

And then just opening that box,

That treasure chest.

And asking your own wisest self,

What needs to be here to support you?

It might be confidence.

It might be relaxation.

Laughter.

Beauty.

And just allowing yourself in whatever way feels right to just fill this treasure chest with all of those qualities that you need most.

And each one of them might have a shape or a color or something else.

Just noticing what arises,

Knowing that there's no wrong way.

Just letting that beautiful treasure chest become even more filled with these supportive,

Beautiful qualities.

Like strength or courage.

Hope or resilience.

Creativity.

Just taking your time here and letting that beautiful treasure chest fill with whatever you need.

And then you might allow this treasure chest to become like a necklace or a blanket or a cloak,

Something that you can actually wrap around you.

And as you do,

Just letting all of those qualities gently move into your entire body.

As if when you hold or wear this necklace or cloak or blanket,

You could just absorb all the good things that treasure chest holds.

Letting those qualities move through from the top of your head all the way down to your feet.

And they might have a color or a temperature or a brightness to them.

And just noticing what it's like as you allow yourself to embody all those beautiful,

Supportive qualities.

Noticing what's possible.

What feels different.

And just knowing,

Because we're working with the unconscious mind here,

That this can continue to move through your body and your mind even after this is done.

You can bring these qualities into your life more and more.

And knowing that even tonight as you sleep,

They'll get stronger.

But for now,

Just allowing yourself to stretch a little bit.

You might wiggle the fingers or the toes,

Just feeling the body.

And very gently beginning to come back into the room.
