This living kindness meditation will guide you to explore your limiting beliefs and create an inner sanctuary for you to take shelter of when you feel that you have been bound by this material world.
Please sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight.
Let your body relax and let your heart be open.
Whenever you're ready,
Feel free to close your eyes.
Now let's take a few full breaths together.
Inhale deeply,
Filling the chest and lungs,
And then exhale slowly.
Try to feel the sensations of the breath as you release it.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale completely.
Inhale deeply again,
And if you feel there is any tension in your body,
Gently guide your breath and attention there to soften the area.
Now let the breath resume its natural rhythm.
Let's reflect on your journey in becoming a mother.
Sense if there is any limiting belief about yourself in this role that is bothering you currently.
You could think of a situation that happened recently.
Visualize the scenario with the surroundings and the people.
Please take a deep breath.
Inhale slowly,
Exhale slowly.
Being fully present,
Begin to notice what's going on inside your mind right now.
Acknowledge whatever comes to your mind without any self-judgment.
This acknowledgement would enable you to dive more deeply so that you could begin to explore further.
What am I believing right now?
Deep within my heart,
What do I truly believe about myself?
Whenever you receive an answer,
Gently ask yourself,
Is this really true about me?
Or is this how others think of me,
But it's not?
Actually true of myself?
Now please observe what it is like to live with disbelief from a physical level.
Do you feel that your breath is coming out of your mind?
Is your breath getting more shallow?
Or there is some tension in your body?
Does your mind feel more stressed?
Anxious?
Is there a sense of sadness,
Loneliness,
And so on?
Let's take a few full breaths together.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale slowly.
Again inhale deeply,
Exhale slowly.
Now please visualize an inner sanctuary.
This inner sanctuary is well protected.
By a magic spell,
So that no one else has access to it except yourself.
It could be anywhere such as a garden,
Beach,
Mountain,
Lake,
Forest,
Or any other secret.
Hide out places.
A place where you feel completely free,
Happy,
And relaxed in this setting.
Again this limiting belief of yours that you just worked on has manifested itself as a heavy rock on your right hand right now.
We certainly do not want to carry this rock with you while you are walking around in your inner sanctuary.
As you will not be able to do anything productive with only one hand.
So what will you do now?
Do you feel that it's finally the time to say goodbye to the rock by throwing it far,
Far away?
Take a moment and imagine what would it be like to live a life without this limiting belief.
Now on the count of three,
You will throw the rock as far away as you could with all of your strength.
Does your hand feel lighter and more at ease?
Do you feel more peaceful,
Relaxing,
And more confident as a result of letting go of the rock that is an embodiment of your limiting belief?
Philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said,
You are what you think all day long.
Therefore it's essential to release your limiting beliefs before you move on to the next stage of your life.
Now since you are still inside your inner sanctuary,
Feel free to find a place to sit or simply stand there as well.
Please put your dominant hand on your heart and let it activate the power within your heart center so that your heart feels tender and loving.
Please be kind to yourself and repeat the following phrases out loud or silently within your mind.
May I have the wisdom to recognize my limiting beliefs.
May I have the strength to not be affected by my limiting beliefs.
May I have the courage to let go of my limiting beliefs.
May I be whoever I would truly like to be in my life instead of what others would like me to be in my life.
May my life be radiant,
Full of love,
Care,
Trust and respect.
May my relationships in my life be harmonious.
May my baby be healthy and happy.
Please gently put your dominant hand down.
Take a deep breath.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
Let your body relax and really feel the gratitude and contentment this meditation experience has brought you.
With great respect and folded hands,
Say thank you to your inner sanctuary for whom you are holding the space you needed today.
And then bring yourself back into the present world.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale completely.
Whenever you are ready,
Please gently open your eyes and move a little to feel more grounded if needed.
