We're going to start this meditation by activating your third chakra,
Which is located just above your belly button.
This is your power center.
When it's out of balance,
You'll feel burned out,
Fatigued,
Low self-esteem,
And overly controlling.
Regain your power by stepping into the warrior position.
Start with your feet hips-width apart with your arms at your side.
Step back with your right foot and turn it outward.
Bend your left knee,
Keeping it aligned with your ankle.
Keep your chest straight.
With an inhale,
Raise your hands above your head.
Your palms should face each other without touching.
Now look up at the sky,
Gathering all your energy upward.
Affirm mentally or aloud.
As I take on new challenges,
I am confident and powerful.
Release your hands down with a deep exhale and move yourself back to standing.
Repeat on the other side by stepping back with your left foot.
Turn it slightly outward and bend your right knee.
Keep it aligned with your ankle.
Chest straight,
Shoulders relaxed.
Inhale and lift your arms upward.
Look up at your hands and affirm,
As I take on new challenges,
I am confident and powerful.
Return to standing with an exhale.
Now put your hands on your thighs,
Bending forward.
Push all the breath out of your lungs with a big exhale through your mouth.
Ahhhhhhhh.
Holding your breath out,
Pump your stomach muscles in and out quickly.
In and out,
In and out,
In and out.
Stop when you need to inhale again.
Can you feel the fire in your power center?
Get comfortable with eyes closed.
Practice five rounds of even count breathing.
Inhale through your nose,
Hold,
And then exhale through your nose for the same duration.
Do this five times.
Now release control of your breath.
Simply watch your natural rhythm.
Add the mantra,
Hong Sa.
Every time you inhale,
Mentally say Hong.
Every time you exhale,
Mentally say Sa.
And enjoy any silence in between breaths.
Practice Hong Sa for another minute.
If thoughts arise,
Gently bring your attention back to your breath with the Hong Sa Mantra.
Now that you're deeply relaxed,
Imagine a to-do list.
Visualize this list containing everything you'll ever need to do both for work and home life.
Don't think of each individual task.
Instead,
Envision the long list of things to do.
It's the length of a CVS receipt.
Pick up the list and let the wind take it.
Let the universe work on your behalf,
Cleaning off that list,
Making it magically go away.
Don't let those tasks weigh you down.
Imagine a big gust of wind pushing you upward.
You're floating on the wind,
Light as air.
Fly over your house,
Your town,
Your city.
Soar through the clouds without a worry or a care.
Nothing on earth can hold you down.
Everything is within your power.
Soar over the mundane with confidence.
How did that feel?
Can you feel your own power to get things done?
Did it feel good to release your task list?
You must prioritize because there truly is not enough time to do everything.
Do you need to say yes to that low-level task at work?
Do you have to throw your friend a party or even attend a party if you're not into it?
Prioritizing is a constant battle,
But you can and will figure it out as you go along.
The best news is that you can't get it wrong because you'll never get it done.
Life is constantly serving up new opportunities to focus on what's important to you.
When you feel yourself worrying,
Look at what needs to get done and get rid of anything that isn't truly a priority.
Imagine the universe helping with your to-do list,
And practice this visualization as often as you'd like.
Don't let the small stuff get you down.
Soar on the wings of your inner strength.
