Welcome to this midday pause for teachers.

The day can get very noisy and very busy when you are expelling all of your energy into teaching and that young child energy can be exhausting.

So it's really beautiful that you take this little five-minute midday pause.

Begin by just noticing the body.

Wherever you are,

Maybe you're sitting in your chair at your desk,

Allow both of your feet to rest on the floor.

Hands resting in your lap wherever they fall naturally.

Just close your eyes and take a deep breath in through the nose and out.

And then taking a deep breath all the way down into your belly.

Breathing out.

Allow everything to go really still and allow the breath to slow slightly.

Keep your eyes closed and focused up to your third eye point just in between your eyebrows.

And with your breath,

Just begin to visualize it traveling up and down the spine.

So let's do this together.

Breathe in through your nose.

See the breath traveling all the way down to the base of your spine.

Maybe as a light,

Maybe as an image.

And then as you breathe out,

Visualize it traveling back up through the spine and out through the nose.

And just continue with this visualization of the breath traveling up and down your spine.

If you notice a thought come into your mind,

Lovingly bring it back to focusing on the breath traveling up and down your spine.

And then very slowly just starting to bring your awareness back.

Becoming aware of the space around you and maybe sounds happening outside of the room you are in.

And then wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.

And very slowly blink open your eyes and have a little look around the space you are in.

Knowing that you have done something really wonderful.

Not just for yourself,

But for the amazing little children that you're going to be teaching today.

Have the most gorgeous day.

Sat Naam.
