Peace!

I'm Joy and I am so excited that you're joining me today.

Today we're going to explore how understanding your energy through human design can support your journey to true holistic wellness,

Honoring your mind,

Body,

Emotions,

And spirit.

If you've ever experienced feeling disconnected from yourself or feeling misunderstood by others or feeling like life is just meant to be an uphill battle or even if you just have a desire to know yourself more deeply,

Exploring yourself through human design could be the invitation you've been seeking to come back home to who and how you really are.

One of my favorite quotes by Charles Bukowski is,

Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?

That who you are and even more specifically how you are is related to your unique energetic blueprint.

Human design shows you what that blueprint is and brings awareness supporting you to work with that energy flow rather than against it.

Human design is a self-awareness tool that blends wisdom from ancient systems like astrology,

The I Ching,

The chakra system,

And the Kabbalah along with modern sciences like quantum physics and genetics.

But it's not about putting you in a box or labeling who you are.

It's about understanding how your energy naturally moves through life and giving yourself permission to flow with that instead of against it.

So with human design,

It's an invitation to truly think outside the box.

All the hats we wear with the many different roles we play and the expectations associated with those roles,

Parents,

Child,

Teacher,

Officer,

Friend.

Your energetic blueprint extends beyond any box that a role can place you in.

When I first came across human design,

It resonated so deeply.

Finally,

A way to see and understand myself in a way that I could always innately feel but couldn't always name.

That's one of the most supportive parts of human design.

It gives us the language to explain and understand our inner workings so that we feel empowered to express our authenticity without shame,

Blame,

Guilt,

Or feeling pressured to hide parts or hide all of ourselves.

Human design helped me learn how to take off the mask and to feel safe to do so.

In human design,

We refer to that mask as the not self.

I'm using air quotes there.

The not self includes the parts of us that we feel safest to express in the world even if they go against our natural energy.

An example of this is the not self version of me constantly thinking of ways to start a conversation in a room full of strangers so that people don't think I'm lame,

Boring,

Or that I lack intelligence.

But the way my natural energy works best is to be invited into conversations,

Not necessarily to start them and especially not to start them when it feels forced.

I learned this through exploring my energy type,

Which is generator,

And my other energetic configurations that flow best when I am present in the moment to know when the right invitations are showing up for me and to engage with them when the time is right.

We'll talk a lot more about the types and those energetic configurations in upcoming talks.

Another important aspect human design supports us with is deconditioning.

I just shared how I thought I was supposed to initiate conversations even when it didn't always feel natural to do so.

Me thinking I needed to initiate is a result of conditioning.

Conditioning is what happens to all of us on some level in our families of origin by just being part of society,

Absorbing messages from media,

Entertainment,

School,

Things that shape our belief systems about what we should do or the best way to do things.

We hear things growing up about what our family does or is supposed to do or about what people like us or people like them are all about.

Many of those beliefs are forms of conditioning that influence how we have been interacting with ourselves and the world.

But conditioned beliefs are not necessarily true or authentic to any of us on an individual or energetic level.

So human design supports us with learning how we have been conditioned energetically and again supports us with language and strategies for deconditioning so that we can align with our natural energy flow.

Aligning with our natural energy flow is the key to releasing burnout and unhealthy stress because it takes a lot more energy to maintain what we are not than it does to flow with who and how we naturally are.

Learning how my energy worked helped me let go of so much self-judgment,

So much second guessing,

And that opened the door to a more gentle compassionate relationship with myself.

When we approach our own selves with gentle compassion,

We are soothing the nervous system and our emotional responses which will have an impact on our health holistically,

Including how we think and feel in our bodies.

As we continue this work together,

I invite you to approach it with curiosity.

Take what resonates and leave the rest.

This isn't as much about learning a system as it is about listening more deeply to yourself and honoring the holistic being that you are.
