Welcome to this practice of gratitude.
Gratitude is your ability to say thank you for the things you already have for the body,
The planet,
The people in your life.
And when you do that regularly,
It helps your brain be happier,
It helps your body be healthier,
It also makes it easier for you to communicate your love and to have great relationships,
And also to be confident to do what you want and get what you need.
So start by finding a comfortable position.
You could be lying down or seated or even standing up,
Even walking if you need.
Put a hand over your belly button to feel the movements of breath there.
And to help your mind focus,
Go ahead and take a few long deep exhales,
Breathing in and out,
And again.
And see as you breathe normally now if you can visualize all the oxygen that is entering your body and going to every single cell of your body,
All the way through your fingertips that you can wiggle,
All the way to your toes that you can wiggle.
Relax your face,
Perhaps bringing a teeny smile to your lips,
Feeling the fresh air coming in.
And imagine for a moment all the trees,
All the plants that produce that oxygen.
And now remember how there used to be nothing in the universe and somehow things lined up so that we could be on a planet that has life.
How much of a miracle is that?
And without you needing to do anything,
Your body is already breathing and your heart is already beating.
So perhaps bring a sense of gratitude,
Saying thank you inside or out loud for the life that happened and that made you you.
Now you can bring your hands to your heart center and your upper chest and see if you can notice any emotions there.
Perhaps bring to mind somebody you love,
Somebody who shows you signs of kindness and love and forgiveness,
Somebody who really believes in you.
See if you can feel that energy of love,
That energy of being grateful for that relationship.
Good.
And now after this practice,
You can take a piece of paper and decide if you want to draw something or write a few words to show that feeling of gratitude.
And you can also use it to say thank you to somebody in your life and tell them specifically what you like about them.
You can do this practice in the morning to help you appreciate people and things throughout your day and you can also do it in the evening to remember what went well and to have a beautiful sleep.
Thank you so much for listening.
I hope you have a beautiful day or a beautiful night.
Bye
