Meditation or healing the child within.

Find your comfortable position either lying down or sitting up.

Prepare your space,

Prepare yourself.

Once you have found your comfortable position,

Now gently close your eyes or allow your eyes to close.

Take a deep breath in and relax.

All the relaxation is flooding through the bottoms of your feet,

Up into your ankles,

Into your knees.

Allow the relaxation to fall into your calves,

Up into your thighs,

Into your pelvic region.

Allow the relaxation to flood into the abdominal region,

Into your chest,

Across your shoulders,

Rolling down your arms,

Past your elbows,

Into your fingertips.

Allow the body to relax,

Allow the head to relax,

Allow your neck to relax.

Feel relaxation oozing down over you like thick honey.

Relax.

Relax.

I will count from 11 to 1 and upon reaching number 1,

You will find yourself in an altered state of consciousness.

I will count from 11 to 1 and upon reaching the number 1,

You will find yourself in an altered state of consciousness.

I will count from 11 to 1 and before I reach the number 1,

You will find yourself in an altered state of consciousness,

Deep in the forest.

Going deeper and deeper,

And 1.

You find yourself in a forest.

There's wonderful trees all around,

The green trees of leaves,

This trickle of sunlight through the trees.

The sky above is blue and filled with some clouds.

You smell the rich,

Damp earth and open before you,

A path opens before you and you take your step.

The forest comes alive with sounds of insects and birds singing and animals scurrying about in the bushes.

This feels safe and wonderful.

As you take your step,

You smell the richness.

You touch a leaf,

Smell a flower.

You are alive and vibrant.

As you're walking in the forest,

You notice the sound of a babbling brook.

As you take the flower down the path,

The sound becomes a little louder and a little louder.

There you are,

This brook is very shallow.

You can see the rocks,

The smooth stones that have washed over,

The water has washed over for thousands of years and you decide to cross just to be on the other side.

And when you reach the other side,

You hear the sound of the laughter of a child.

You turn and the child,

You,

Four,

Five,

Six years old,

In your favorite shirt and pants or a patent of the shoes and a dress,

A skirt,

Ribbons in your hair.

You walk back across the pond,

Right across the water,

The stream babbling brook.

The child,

You're in the child,

Is not sure who you are and you say to it,

I am your future.

I am who you will become and I will come back and have come back to give you the love,

To give you the love that you felt you never received.

And as you,

In your reassuring voice,

Reach for the child,

You pick the child up in your arms.

I am your future.

I will come back.

I am your future.

I am who you will become someday.

And I have come back in this moment to give you the love,

Allow the child to wrap his arms around your neck and perhaps she or he begins to cry and you as well,

Loving your child.

And in this moment,

You notice others have come together in the forest and as you set your child down,

You tell them this is who is coming,

Your higher self,

Your angels,

Counselors,

Any of the unseen friends,

Perhaps you have those of your faith.

They will come back and they,

As you allow your child to lie down in the forest,

Begin the healing.

Perhaps one begins to use light,

Perhaps one uses crystals,

Perhaps one is chanting,

Healing,

Healing the child and allow your higher self.

And you do the healing.

And as you allow the healing,

Begin to understand how your life will be different once the healing is done,

How you will be changed in your adult life.

And in this moment,

Do just send your child love,

Keep sending out the love and keep thinking and remembering the changes that are coming in your adult life.

Allow the healing and keep sending the love.

Leave that one alone.

You you The healing is completing yourselves unseen friends you tell the child how much they love it as well and you pick your child back up in your arms reassuring it once again and telling it how much you appreciate how grateful you are for their existence and loving your child is a way of loving yourself and in this moment allowing the healing placing your child back on the ground and perhaps because this is a magical forest you think of a toy you wanted as a child and make this a gift to your child allowing it and saying once again I am your future I am the adult you I am who you will become someday and I will return to give you love allowing the moment as the child fades into the forest and you look skyward you find yourself back in the room where you're lying or sitting coming back into your body ever changed now we count 1 to 5 and you can open your eyes 1,

2,

3,

4 and 5 open your eyes and be fully present take a deep breath and relax and we send to you our love and gratitude allowing us to be part of your healing process thank you

I really enjoy using the meditation when I want to visit my inner child to give love and healing. Especially when experiencing fear and self doubt. Thank you Joseph. Please do more

That was a wonderful experience. I appreciate the words you tell the child it became as the adult you. It will help me better reconnect with my inner child when I'm dissociated from past trauma. Ever so grateful. Thank you.

A helpful practice to support my ongoing work. It will no doubt take countless sessions, repeated every day, but I found that it's directness, without any spiritual spin, was very useful and in a small enough dose that I could bear the heartbreak. Thank you.
