Hello and welcome.
This meditation will help you connect with the joyful and peaceful part of you.
Sometimes life goes on so fast.
It might seem like joy has been taken away from your life as if there is no longer peace.
But joy and peace,
They are a part of you.
You are joy and you are peace.
This meditation will help you reconnect with the part of you that is joyful,
That is peaceful.
So get into a comfortable position and let's begin with a deep cleansing breath.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through the nose or through the mouth.
It is human nature to change from sad to happiness and other emotions.
And so I welcome you to embrace whatever feeling you have right now.
However you feel right now is valid,
Is okay,
Is human nature.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Embracing how you are presenting today.
Acceptance is a big part of joy and peace.
Accepting where we are right at this moment.
Continue to focus on your breathing.
You are noticing your chest and belly rise and fall as you continue to focus on your breathing.
Inhale and exhale.
Acknowledge any thoughts that are coming up for you,
Any lingering ideas.
It's okay.
It's all part of being.
Notice any tensions.
You may be carrying tension in your shoulders or you may be carrying tension in your feet.
Maybe you have a story behind that tension.
What do you think the tension is there to tell you?
Is the tension giving you a message that maybe you need to stretch or that maybe you are frustrated,
Maybe the tension is related to your current emotion and your feelings right now.
Acknowledge everything that's happening.
Welcome everything that's happening.
Continue to focus on your breathing.
The most exciting thing about life is we are able to intentionally shift from one emotion to another.
We start by acknowledging the emotion but we can move on.
And this is why joy and peace,
They are a choice we make every day.
Breathe in and breathe out.
By being here making the time to reconnect with the part of you that's joyful and peaceful,
You have already chosen joy and peace.
Breathe in and breathe out.
When you make time for joy and peace,
You are already cancelling out other things that overcloud your joy.
Imagine your choice to be joyful and peaceful as a universal force that moves the circumstances and other things that overcloud your joy.
Think of any circumstances or situations or people sometimes that overshadow joy and peace as dark clouds in the sky that cover up the blue sky.
And so the choice we make to commit and to focus on joy is like the process of moving the dark clouds so then you are able to see the blue sky.
Breathe in and breathe out.
As you continue to focus on your breathing,
Take a moment here and reflect on what brings you joy.
I'm smiling with you as I think as well.
The ways of living that bring you joy,
The feeling of being alive like your heart is singing.
What are those?
The good news is these are not circumstances or moments you are not familiar with.
You've been joyful,
You've been peaceful already in your life and it's just a matter of going back to the moment or situation where you felt joyful.
What does it feel like to be joyful?
What does it sound like?
What does it smell like?
What does it look like?
So many amazing moments that bring joy.
Choosing joy sometimes entails giving up all the things that overcrowd joy,
All the circumstances,
All the dark clouds that cover up the beautiful blue sky that is our joy.
And so let's end this meditation by also accepting the things that we may have to give up in order for us to allow more joy and peace into our lives.
And accepting it and choosing joy as the most important thing because indeed it is.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Since your body is relaxing you are noticing the difference between when you first started and now.
You're feeling more relaxed,
You're feeling more grounded.
This is indeed a beautiful and joyful relaxation moment for you.
Continue to focus on your breathing as you hold on to this beautiful process of accessing your joy and peace.
When life seems to be dark and full of suffering as if joy has been deprived out of your life,
Remember that you have joy and peace inside of you and that it's a safe place that you can return to to realize and access and feel your peace and joy at any time.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Joy and peace are not outside.
Joy and peace are inside of you and you are complete and you are enough.
You always have joy and peace within you.
Anytime you can reconnect with your peace and joy.
Continue to focus on your breathing.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Inhale and exhale taking longer exhale.
Breathe in and breathe out.
