Take a pause from your day not because you should, but because you are worthy. This practice involves some contemplation around what we do for the feeling of "accomplishment" and how we can give love to this "doing" self and relax into a flow of peace and ease. We take this time to recalibrate, honor moments of pause and bathe in worthiness to move us forward. We re-train ourselves to know our worthiness not from action, but from the beauty within us, found in sacred moments of quiet.

Namaste.

My name is Jordana and I'm going to guide you into meditation today.

Close your eyes.

Settle into your comfortable seat.

Sit upright and grow tall from the seat of your spine to the base of your head.

See how your body already wants to naturally let go.

Find balance.

Ready yourself for this well deserved break.

This meditation shines a spotlight on what may be pulling the resources of your attention and causing you tension.

As you tune in today,

You'll observe what arises.

From your observations,

You can find a more effective way to refocus your efforts and your time.

You can align yourself with what actually feels purposeful for you.

Oftentimes you busy yourself managing your obligations and also doing things that bring you happiness.

As you move through your world,

You say yes to people and opportunities.

You want to be able to do it all.

You probably can.

It would feel pretty good to accomplish all you've set out to do,

Everything that's in motion.

Take a breath.

Rest your attention on your heart area.

Breathe into your heart.

Center your awareness to the area of your heart.

Notice a feeling of sincerity here.

What is beyond this good feeling of accomplishment?

What might you be doing for the sake of doing,

For the feeling of accomplishing?

You may not even notice that you're doing for the promise of oxytocin you once felt.

The time or those times you were acknowledged for how much you accomplished.

This is okay.

There's no judgment here.

Whatever you observe about yourself in this practice doesn't make what you've done or what you're doing negative or bad.

This is a moment to recalibrate and to cut yourself some slack.

Honor the moments of space,

Of pause,

Because this is where wisdom comes in.

Soften your jaw.

Relax your face.

Take a deep and cleansing breath.

Put your busyness aside.

Let your to-dos fall away for just a short while.

Watch your breath.

The rhythmic cycle of ins and outs.

Whether short or long,

Watching it.

Feel the air in your centeredness,

A tenderness.

Notice a subtle rise of your chest as you take in air as breath.

Notice a gentle expansion across your heart as you let the breath back out into the air.

Breathe into your own smooth rhythm.

The light of nature governs this earth.

Every day,

Natural cycles of sunlight and darkness.

This cues your physiology that it is time for rest.

Time to let go of the doing of the day.

Time to replenish the mind and body.

When you push nature like you know better,

You turn a blind eye to the natural cues of what you need to do.

Diving into busyness without rest,

Without respite.

Even the moon takes rest from shining its bright light.

The darkness makes way for light to shine again.

A natural cycle of restoration.

Honor your cycle.

Respect your existence.

It's never asked for you to be on all the time.

It wants you to restore.

It wants you to be nourished.

It wants you to know that you are worthy of all the feelings you want to have.

There isn't a need to be in constant motion.

And it doesn't matter how much you do or don't do.

You are worthy of respect,

Of great care,

Of ease,

Of love.

In these next few breaths,

Allow yourself to hit pause,

To find stillness in your worthiness.

You are worthy of respect.

You are worthy of great care.

You are worthy of ease.

You are worthy of love.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

There is a subtle rise within you.

A gentle expansion of you.

Your rest in the darkness fills you.

And when your essence beams in the lightness,

It shines brighter from respecting your cycle of dark and pause.

You can return to your lists,

To obligations,

To projects,

To conversations you want to have,

To all of your tasks and subtasks whenever you choose.

But remind yourself,

Look up to the moon.

Recall your cycles of dark and light.

You are meant to turn off before you go back on.

No part of your worthiness is tied into your busyness.

When you respect your pause,

You make space to receive the respect you deserve.

The great care you deserve.

The ease you deserve.

The love you deserve.

When you return to doing,

Come with a deeper sense of knowing and an awareness of flowing.

What is sincerely for you to pursue?

What do you choose to do that awakens your heart?

Notice the effortlessness that meets the effort that you put forth.

Your life need not be all in the doing,

But in the meeting of your doing and not doing.

In honoring natural cycles,

In taking the pause to replenish.

Bring awareness to the area of your heart.

To the tender sensitivity.

To the strength of the center.

Take three deep breaths into your heart.

Before you open your eyes,

Take one more moment of pause.

Remind yourself of these words.

I am not my busyness.

I am so much more than what I do.

Who I am is beyond description.

Worthiness grows within me.

Like all beings everywhere,

I deserve love and great care.

I choose to move forward with ease.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Whenever you feel ready,

Return.

I am not my busyness.

I am so much more than what I do.

I am so much more than what I do.

This is a vital message. The practice of honoring my rest and sleep cycles, and also putting to "rest" my hunger to accomplish my tasks (even the "honorable" ones) before I allow myself to "stop", has been a long-standing goal of mine and one that is not always easy to achieve. Recently though, as I actually made myself sick With the frantic pace, I have been more diligent about tending to my cycles, and my time to rest and restore, growing more conscious of the reality that all those "to dos" do not define me, will be there tomorrow to finish, were not as important or urgent as I thought, and mean nothing in the end, if I am not at Peace. Thank you for yet another reminder!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™
