Hi and welcome to our meditation.
My name is Jordana and I am so glad that you've decided to join me and all of us really here to meditate into a transformation for the heart.
So go ahead and make yourself cozy.
Finding a way to be relaxed in the body,
But also aware and alert.
Let your spine rise up.
Let your shoulders roll back.
And bring a sense of softness to the face,
The jaw.
There is a quote by the poet Rumi,
The crack is where the light gets in.
And so we've all had our hearts broken.
We've all felt pain and suffering that sometimes feels like it will never end.
But in this meditation here together,
We see the light in the cracks of our being.
And we let it reveal the lessons to grow us,
To deepen our awareness,
And to strengthen our ability to find compassion and to breathe with that.
Find your breath.
Place all of your awareness on the breath flowing in and the breath flowing out.
And for now,
Without changing anything,
Rest in a sense of trust that your body knows how to breathe itself.
And you can watch as it does.
So we'll explore the cracks of our heart.
I'd like you to think back to a time when your heart felt broken.
And this time was in the past.
It's feeling as though now the heart has mended itself.
Maybe it's reshaped itself.
But bring that experience to mind that created a crack.
And I'd like you to think about what you learned when the light began to shine into that crack.
Who were you on the other side?
Who are you now because you felt that?
And can you give this self of yours a little bit more love?
There is a teaching from Kabbalah that says,
We do all of the practices of well-being.
We grow ourselves,
We learn,
So that we might place these teachings on top of our hearts.
And we place them there in the hopes that a crack will form.
Because that's when the teachings seep in.
That's when we make use of everything we have learned from the entire path of our life's journey.
We realize there are no mistakes.
That any detour is actually part of the grand tour.
We allow it to deepen our experience.
Every experience that we have is one we can choose to feel.
And when we really feel it,
It's like the nutrition that empowers our spiritual body today.
A body that attracts the light.
That looks for the cracks.
So let's take this time now to shine the light of awareness on the heart.
And see if there is any place where you have been numb.
Where you have thought that something didn't matter when deep inside you knew it does.
Breathe in as if you could breathe in the light.
Showing the crack in the cracks.
Waiting for teachings.
For the practice to seep in.
Maybe you let yourself crack open here.
Is there something you've been afraid to feel until now?
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Yes,
My dear.
Allow yourself to feel.
Transform your heart.
Let your mind flow in the feeling.
If you don't know what to do,
The path forward is to feel and to know that every feeling changes,
Transforms,
That it won't always be the same.
My dear,
You are so brave.
Can you feel that courageous heart of yours transforming for good?
Choosing the challenge.
Shining light into each crack so that all of the learning,
All of the growth,
All of the love can fill you from the inside.
Because that is what you get to share on the outside.
Feeling and letting this resonate if it feels true.
Nodding the head gently,
Yes.
Yes,
I can.
Yes,
I will.
And as though your shoulders could be wrapped in a blanket of warm compassion from Mama Earth.
Let your mind melt into this heart and let your entire being rest in being held.
You you dear brave and courageous heart allow yourself to rise up in love to breathe love right into the center of your being to breathe out and sense the peace that expands as fast as it will breathe in take off let it seep through every cell of your body and sense the peace that is here and perhaps again nodding the head a gentle yes and taking a deep breath breathe in fill up the belly expand across the heart space hold this breath for a moment and then exhale let it go take one more like that breathe in fill all the way up and hold this breath maybe even bring the corners of the lips up towards the ears as you hold and you hold this breath so full and relax the shoulders and then exhale let it go bowing this thinking mind to this courageous ever-expanding heart and as you're ready bringing the eyes to open
