Welcome to the Self-Blessings Meditation.
When we judge and reject ourselves,
We will experience unhappiness within.
In this practice,
We will dive deep into the mind to discover these subconscious states of self-rejection and transform it through developing self-acceptance.
This will help you to create greater happiness and clarity of mind.
So when you are ready,
Find a comfortable place where you can sit upright.
It can be on a chair or on the floor.
And when you are ready,
You can close your eyes.
Resting the hands gently on your lap and simply focus your awareness on the breath coming in and out.
Be alert and aware of every breath coming in and out.
Continue to be one with the breath as I guide you through the practice.
Let's begin.
Now move your awareness to the area between the chest.
Make the size of your awareness the size of your fist.
This is the spiritual heart area.
Feel for the sensations here.
The sensations can be anything.
From the touch of your clothes to the feelings of emotions to the sense of the temperature.
Keep tuning into the sensations there.
This is the spiritual heart center.
Become one with the breath.
Become one with the heart.
Continue to be one with the heart and the breath as I guide you towards developing self-acceptance deeper and deeper.
Now while still being aware of the area in between the chest,
I want you to think of a thing that you did today that you thought you did quite well or very well.
Maybe you've completed a small or big project.
Maybe you've made a successful joke.
Maybe people complimented you on something that you've achieved.
It can be anything.
Anything worthy of applause.
If you can't think of anything,
You can think to the past.
For instance,
What you did yesterday.
If you can't think of anything,
That's fine.
Just use the experience that you have found this meditation is something you did very well.
Once you have brought up that experience within the mind,
Applaud yourself for what you did today.
To help you,
You can declare in the mind,
Well done,
You did great.
I am happy with myself.
And work towards believing in what you're saying,
Feel the energy of love rising from the heart area,
Embracing you unconditionally.
We will stay in this area for a few breaths as you develop self-acceptance.
Here you may experience a resistance to applaud yourself.
Just realize,
Anything you do is worthy of applause.
Now we're going to go even deeper into the practice.
Now while still being one with the heart and the breath,
I want you to think of the thing that you did today that was quite ordinary.
Maybe you completed a small task.
Maybe you shared something interesting with someone.
Maybe it's something normal like having a breakfast or walking to the bus stop.
Anything ordinary.
If you can't think of anything,
You are just being picky.
Just choose anything you did today.
Anything.
Let us bring up the ordinary experience into mind and applaud yourself for what you did.
To help you,
You can declare in the mind,
Well done,
You did great.
I am happy with myself.
In the gain,
Work towards believing in what you're saying.
Feel the energy of love rising from the heart area,
Embracing you unconditionally.
Well done.
Here you may experience the deeper state of self-rejection.
The inner resistances here are often experienced when you believe that only certain things that you do are worthy of applause.
Realize that anything you do in life is worthy of applause.
Now let's go even deeper.
Now while still being aware of the heart area,
I want you to think of the thing that you did today that you felt was not worthy of applause.
Maybe you've made a mistake,
Maybe things did not go your way,
Maybe you failed in something,
Maybe you still haven't fulfilled your desires.
Just pick an experience that comes to mind.
Once you've brought up that experience into mind,
Develop self-acceptance by saying to yourself in the mind,
Well done,
You did great.
I am happy with myself,
Even if I screwed up,
Even if I failed.
And work towards believing in what you're saying.
Feel the energy of love rising from the heart area,
Embracing you unconditionally.
Stay in the state of self-acceptance for a few breaths.
Stay in the state of self-acceptance for a few breaths.
Stay in the state of self-acceptance for a few breaths.
Stay in the state of self-acceptance for a few breaths.
Continue to be aware of your heart area.
The heart is always wanting you to hear that you are worthy of love no matter what you do,
No matter who you are.
You are already perfect.
Thus to be more perfect is simply to remove the ideas of imperfection you have within.
To accept yourself no matter what happens.
Let us self-acceptance.
Keep on being aware of the heart area.
Let us go even deeper into the practice by directing acceptance towards other selves too.
Because by learning how to accept others,
It will help us to learn how to accept ourselves as well.
So now think of one thing that others did to you today that made you feel unhappy.
Maybe someone got in your way,
Said something that upset you,
Maybe someone betrayed you or did not keep a promise,
Maybe someone was stupid or unreasonable.
If nothing happened today,
Just think of someone you don't like.
Once you have that experience in mind,
Let us develop self-acceptance by sending acceptance outwards to that person.
We can do this by declaring,
Well done,
You did great.
I am happy with who you are.
I love and accept you for who you are.
And work towards believing in what you are saying.
Feel the energy of love rising from the heart area,
Embracing that person unconditionally.
We will stay in this area for a few breaths.

Continue to be aware of the heart.
The heart will always want you to accept all the risks,
For it knows that is what will give you the greatest joy in life.
So continue to practice self-blessings every day to connect with your heart.
You can practice it every night in a short form,
By simply thinking of a few things you did during the day and congratulate yourself for it.
Choose things that you usually would not see as worthy of applause.
This will help you to see that everything you do is worthy of love.
Continue to be aware of the heart.
Continue to accept the self,
So that you can sleep well in the state of oneness,
So that you can wake up the next day and remember that you are worthy of love no matter who you are and what you do in life.
