Hi,
And welcome to a Joneson 4 breathwork and meditation.
Today we are going to focus on energizing ourselves through breathing and of course meditation.
So let's get started.
Find a position that is comfortable for you,
Whether that's laying down or seated.
Place your hands in a comfortable spot,
Close your eyes.
Start to breathe in through your nose and out through your nose or mouth.
Your choice.
Breathing in beautiful fresh air,
Invigorating your lungs,
Filling up your lungs with oxygen,
And feeling your body with every breath.
Bring your mind's focus to your breath,
Thinking and noticing the sensations as you inhale.
How does it feel as the air passes through your nostrils into your lungs?
Feel as your lungs fill up and are full of life-giving air.
Know that other thoughts might come into your mind,
And that's alright.
Acknowledge that they're there,
But then dismiss them.
Come back to thinking about your breath,
And specifically the inhale.
Now let's shift over to a breathing technique.
We will focus on doing a 1-1-1 ratio breathing.
For our sake,
We will breathe in for five counts,
Hold for five counts,
And then exhale for five counts.
Let's begin.
Exhale everything you have.
Inhale.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Now hold.
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale,
And five.
Inhale.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
And hold.
Three,
Five.
Now exhale.
One more time,
Get a big breath in.
Hold.
Now exhale.
Good job.
Return to breathing normally,
But still with a big full breath,
Filling up your lungs with the life of the air.
As you breathe,
Shift your mind,
Your thoughts,
To the energy that is around you.
Not the electrical energy of lights,
Sounds,
Or anything like that,
But instead the energy inside you,
The power that you have,
The thoughts that you think,
The energy that you have,
And then the energy that surrounds you.
The energy of the community around you.
Is it positive?
Is it uplifting?
Is it invigorating?
The people in your life.
Think of one person close to you.
Do they give you energy?
Do they take energy away from you?
Another way to think about it is,
Do they inspire you?
Do they push you?
Do they empower you?
Or do they disempower you?
They bring you down.
We want to surround ourselves with people who uplift us and empower us,
Who help charge our batteries,
And we can help them charge theirs.
Regardless of if that person empowers us or disempowers us,
We can still be kind,
Caring,
And positive with them.
So as we are here in this meditation,
Think of a person.
Now think,
Do they empower you or not?
Regardless of that answer,
Send positive thoughts and positive vibrations to them right now just by thinking of them,
Wishing them well.
Each breath in,
Every inhale,
You are breathing in energy,
Life,
Invigorating yourself.
Then as you exhale,
You're sending some of your energy to that person,
Helping them,
Whether they realize it or not,
You are helping them and empowering them.
A little more breath.
Now I encourage you to reach out to the people you are thinking about and you're sending your energy to.
They lift you up if they empower you,
If they give you energy.
Tell them.
Tell them thank you.
Share your energy with them through more than a meditation.
Reach out through a phone call,
An email,
Or even better yet if you can see them in person,
Tell them thank you.
Tell them that you care about them.
And if it's a person that you don't care for,
Well first of all,
We try to avoid them so we can keep our positive energy.
But if you can,
You can still let them know that you care for them,
That you want the best for them.
It's not always easy,
But it does help us be healed,
Be full,
And be energized.
Take two more nice,
Slow,
Deep breaths in,
Breathing in the energy of the world around you,
All the positive energy,
Breathing it in,
Filling your body.
Inhale together.
Exhale.
One more nice,
Slow inhale,
Enjoying every molecule as possible.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Excellent work.
Wiggle your toes and fingers,
Bringing your body back to life,
And open your eyes.
Feel free throughout your day to stop,
Take a couple breaths,
Breathe in the energy around you,
And re-energize your batteries.
Sometimes just a breath or two can make all the difference in the world.
