Hello and welcome.

Find a comfortable position,

Whether it's sitting,

Lying down,

Or reclining.

Make sure you feel supported and at ease.

Ensure your body is in a position that allows you to feel both relaxed and alert as we're about to embark on a journey of mindful healing.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes and allow yourself to simply be.

Bring your attention to your breath.

Notice how your breath flows in and out.

There's no need to change it or make it any different.

Just observe it.

Now consciously take a slow,

Deep breath in.

Feel your lungs filling with air.

Hold it for a moment and then release it gently,

Letting it flow out of your mouth,

Allowing the tension to leave with it.

Take another deep,

Calming breath in,

Feeling the air entering your nostrils,

Traveling down to your lungs and expanding your chest and abdomen.

Then exhale slowly,

Release the breath,

And imagine it taking away your tension,

Your stress,

And your discomfort.

As you continue to breathe in this manner,

You begin to cultivate a safe and peaceful space,

A sanctuary within yourself where healing takes place.

Gently shift your attention to the area of your body where you're feeling discomfort or pain.

Recognize it,

But try not to judge or resist it.

Acknowledge it,

Simply as a sensation,

A part of your current experience.

Try to imagine your pain as a separate entity existing within you.

Imagine this entity has a shape,

A color,

A size,

But try not to judge or analyze this entity.

Just notice it and see it with kindness,

With understanding,

And with curiosity.

Now as you breathe in,

Visualize a gentle,

Soothing light entering your body.

This light is calm,

Warm,

And healing.

It carries with it a sense of peace and tranquility.

As you breathe out,

See this light moving closer to the area of pain and imagine it softly enveloping it.

On each inhale,

Imagine more of this healing light coming in,

Filling your body.

Each exhale allows the light to wash over the pain,

To bathe it in comfort,

Reducing its intensity and its hold over you.

Keep visualizing this scene and with each breath,

Imagine the light becomes warmer,

Becomes brighter,

And more powerful.

Imagine the area of pain beginning to loosen and dissolve in this light.

The sharp edges of the pain become softer,

Less defined.

This light doesn't aim to force the pain away,

But to coexist,

To soften it,

To understand it.

Remember that feeling pain is not the enemy.

Pain is a signal your body is sending.

As you breathe in the healing light and breathe out relaxation,

Visualize yourself kindness,

Compassion,

And understanding to this signal of pain.

Imagine this pain like a friend,

A friend who was there to help and comfort.

Now gradually begin to broaden your focus beyond the pain.

Imagine the healing light radiating to all parts of your body,

Soothing all the cells,

All the muscles,

All the bones.

It washes over your entire being like a wave of comfort and tranquility.

Feel the light growing in strength with each breath,

Filling you with peace and softening the grip of the pain.

The pain is no longer in the foreground.

It's starting to fade into the background,

Becoming just a small part of your larger,

More peaceful and accepting experience.

Continue to breathe to fill yourself with the light and to release and soften the pain.

The ebb and flow of this process is natural,

Like waves washing over a beach.

Stay in this space as long as you need,

Letting your breath and healing light work in harmony.

When you feel ready,

Gently and slowly start to bring your attention back to the space around you.

Keep the feeling of that healing light within you like a warm inner glow.

Feel it in your fingers,

Your toes,

In the crown of your head and in your heart and all the spaces between.

Now give yourself a moment to express gratitude for this time of healing and self-care you've taken.

Wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

Stretch your body if you're able in a way that feels good.

Remember this peaceful state and know that you can return to it at any time.

You have the tools within you to manage your pain,

To be kind to yourself and to help to facilitate your own healing.

Always treat yourself with the patience and understanding you deserve as you navigate your journey of healing.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.
