John shares the beautiful poem 'Fear' by the great mystic poet and artist Kahlil Gibran. A reminder of who we really are, and of the implicit nature of our awakenening and rediscovery that we are part of the great wholeness of what is.

Fear by Kalil Gibran.

It is said that before entering the sea a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled.

From the peaks of the mountains,

The long winding road,

Crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,

She sees an ocean so vast that to enter there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.

The river cannot go back.

Nobody can go back.

To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk of entering the ocean.

Because only then will fear disappear.

Because that's where the river will know it's not about disappearing into the ocean,

But of becoming the ocean.

When I step into the stream of water and began to walk against the current. I can stop and let all the debris press against me to become a dam, or I can navigate the current to not be an obstacle. Knowing the stream will adjust for what I do, and the contact alone will change me. I either collect debris or I build strength to stand in the current, seeing when to let the debris go… love and blessings as I continue to build strength to step aside

Wow. Amazingly simple, yet we make it far more complex than it has to be. Take a breath and walk into, rather than away. Thank you. I love this!!
