Hello dear one,
Thank you for joining me for practice today.
In this 10 minute meditation we will explore the sacred ancient formula of meditate,
Purify,
Realize,
Which in itself offers a lifetime of practice,
Transformation and wisdom when we meet it with sincerity and apply it with kindness to our lives.
I've reflected on these three words for most of my life and I'm blessed to offer you this practice today,
Which centers around grounding in your natural awareness and your deeper wisdom by meeting life in the moment as a way to access the sacred peace within yourself.
Whatever stage of your journey you are at,
This practice offers a meaningful path within the beauty of your own sacred,
Ordinary,
Everyday life.
So just beginning to allow yourself to sit and to settle.
Moving if you need to and just allowing yourself to become stiller closing your eyes if you choose to and as you settle just beginning to become aware of your natural breath and as you do this just allow yourself to feel your clothes against your skin with your felt sense your clothes against your skin and just notice that from awareness rather than from mind just notice how your awareness receives the feeling of touch of the clothes against yourself just notice how your awareness receives the feeling of touch of the clothes against your skin aware of your breath naturally coming and going and aware of your body,
Your weight on the seat hands on your knees or on your lap allowing your belly to be soft,
Your back to be upright allowing your face to be soft,
The muscles of your face,
Your eyes allowing a small inner smile to come to your lips from the feeling of life within you and feeling this feeling of life within you in whatever way you can listening to the sounds in the room listening to the sounds in the room and the sound in my voice the spaces in the sounds listen to the spaces and the sounds equally perhaps even being aware of the space underneath the sounds to just resting and deepening into awareness through your senses,
Your body,
Your breath awareness of the movement and energy of your thoughts and of your mind allowing yourself to let go of wanting to change your mind into one direction or another to let go of wanting to change your mind into one direction or another and just being aware of its movement same too with your emotions and by simple allowing allowing yourself to become present to life in this moment awareness of any stories or attachments in you arising at this moment your own feeling of relationship to this moment deepening into our meditation and allowing ourselves to feel the energy of the energy of the body and allowing ourselves to feel the energy of the attachments of our minds of the situations we believe that are our lives and just allowing them to be there with an open hand kindness awareness awareness allowing there to be space around each thing not grasping or rejecting allowing even if the wish is to change something within us allowing that energy to be there allowing forgiveness and ease allowing awareness to purify our attachments to bring love and resting deeper into awareness we allow ourselves to listen to the greater intelligence within ourselves that is awareness itself not asking questions not seeking answers or being nourished from the greater intelligence within ourselves this is how we heal our minds this is how we heal our emotions this is how we learn of our attachments and bring kindness and love noticing the innocence within yourself the innocence of who you really are now Feeling for yourself,
The vibrancy,
The love,
The intimacy of the sacred within yourself.
And notice that you are not creating or sustaining or maintaining this.
We meditate,
We purify,
We realize.
And then in our daily lives,
We move in accord with the truth of our being in action.
And this is how our lives change and transform and are lit from within.
The feeling of your breath,
Your clothes against your skin,
The sounds inside and outside the room,
Yourself fully here,
Fully present.
And so that ends our meditation for today.
