Welcome to Jar Your Mind.

My name is Joey.

Today we are going to read chapter two of the Tao Te Ching followed by a meditation.

Chapter two.

The Tao Te Ching.

When people see some things as beautiful,

Other things become ugly.

When people see some things as good,

Other things become bad.

Being and non-being create each other.

Difficult and easy support each other.

Long and short define each other.

High and low depend on each other.

Before and after follow each other.

Therefore the master acts without doing anything and teaches without saying anything.

Things arise and she lets them come.

Things disappear and she lets them go.

She has but doesn't possess.

Acts but doesn't expect.

When her work is done,

She forgets it.

That is why it lasts forever.

In this meditation,

We will observe our thoughts.

As one arises,

We can let it come without judgment,

Without contemplation.

Just observe and allow.

And then when it disappears,

We can let it go.

Again,

Without judgment,

Without contemplation.

Just observe and allow.

We will also observe our feelings.

As a feeling arises,

We can let it come without judgment,

Without contemplation.

Just observe and allow it.

And then when it disappears,

We can let it go without judgment,

Without contemplation.

Just observe and allow.

You have thoughts but don't possess them.

You have feelings but don't possess them.

Let them come and then let them go.

Breathe in and out as you begin to relax into this meditation.

The master acts without doing anything.

Go into the stillness.

Go into the darkness and act without doing anything.

Rest here and be here now.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Starting to notice your thoughts.

Starting to notice any feelings that may or may not arise.

We will now go deeper and deeper into the darkness where being and non-being create each other.

We will now go deeper and deeper into the darkness where being and non-being create each other.

Continue to relax more and more as you release your hold on this world and enter the freeing state of awareness.

Beyond high and low.

Beyond any before or afters.

Beyond good or bad.

Allow thoughts.

Allow feelings.

Let go of thoughts.

Let go of feelings.

You are now going deeper and deeper into the depths of being.

Breathing in and breathing out as you fall more and more into a state of allowing and letting go.

You are relaxed and calm and in harmony with the Tao.
