Welcome,

Welcome.

Good morning,

Good afternoon,

Good evening,

Wherever you may be in the world.

It's such a gift to be here with you today.

So if you've joined us for the Infinite I Am Conference,

Or you've been catching up on some replays,

You probably felt it too.

That quiet,

Unmistakable current running through everything.

The simplicity of recognizing what we truly are,

And how immediate that recognition is,

How already here it is.

And the more that I sit with that,

The more I see how many ideas the mind still carries about meditation,

And what it should look like,

What it should feel like,

What result it should bring.

But what I'm reminded of,

And the area of focus today,

Will be is that the real meditation,

True meditation,

Isn't something we do.

It's just the natural state of being ourself.

It's simply noticing the unchanging background that's always here.

No matter what the mind or the body may be doing.

So today,

Let's just keep it beautifully simple.

Just a gentle resting as the pure presence that you already are.

Let's begin.

Just find a position that feels easy and light.

You can keep your eyes opened or closed.

Whatever invites softness,

Whatever feels most comfortable.

Notice that awareness is already here.

Before any breath or thought.

There's this knowing of being.

Everything else,

The body,

The sounds,

The thoughts,

They all appear in this awareness.

You don't have to reach for it or create it.

It's already present.

And it's quietly holding everything.

You can hear these words because awareness is here.

You can sense the body because awareness is here.

You're able to notice thoughts because awareness is here.

But instead of focusing on what you're aware of,

Let attention rest as the awareness itself.

Abiding as the awareness.

If attention drifts,

And it will.

Simply notice that.

And then return.

Perhaps asking softly.

Am I aware right now?

Without answering with words.

Just notice this immediate recognition.

That noticing is the meditation.

When a thought comes,

Nothing is wrong.

The moment you see it,

You're already back as awareness.

There's no managing.

Just rest.

Rest is what you are.

Just let attention settle into the quiet background.

The space in which every movement happens.

This stillness.

Formless.

Changelessness that is you.

Doesn't change with the story.

Doesn't react.

Or resist.

So the sensations and the emotions and thoughts.

Are simply energy.

Appearing in what you are.

Again,

Notice.

Am I aware right now?

This awareness.

This pure presence.

Is here whether the mind is busy or noisy.

Or still.

It's here whether the heart feels heavy or light.

It never leaves.

If attention wanders to a sound or a feeling.

Just notice where it went and smile.

No judgment.

Simply seeing.

And then gently returning to the background.

To the silence behind all movement.

Sense the simplicity of just being.

It's so ordinary.

And yet it's often overlooked.

In truth.

It takes no effort.

To be what we are.

This is the most familiar thing there is.

The essence of you that's never been born.

Never been hurt.

Never been separate.

There's nothing to heal here.

Because in truth.

Nothing real was ever broken.

The peace that you may be feeling in this moment.

Wasn't created.

It's been revealed.

It's what you are.

As we begin to close our session.

Notice that meditation isn't something you did.

It's what you are.

If your eyes were closed you can slowly open them.

And see how awareness was here the whole time.

Eyes opened or closed.

Thoughts quiet or busy.

This presence moves with you into the day.

Not even as a practice.

But as your natural way of being.

Thank you for resting here with me today.

Namaste.
