Hello everyone and thank you for listening with me and being present today.

The month of December is here,

It's the first of the last month of the year.

There are just 31 days left of 2020 and each of those days is an opportunity.

An opportunity to grow,

To love,

To heal and to be kind and thankful.

It's been a weird year,

I definitely think it's important to take that into consideration when writing or practicing your December intentions.

Many of us are in circumstances or situations that weren't part of the plan this year and instead of letting this anxiety of the unknown overwhelm us,

We can instead channel that fluidity into our intentions.

So instead of feeling like our plans or goals are ruined,

We can establish a mindset that lets us incorporate this into our plan.

So it's all part of the plan.

Stick with me here,

So what if I told you in 31 days you could be closer to your dreams?

What if I told you in 31 days you would love yourself a little more?

What if I told you in 31 days you would be closer to living your truth than ever before?

Here is of course the realness of the physical world to consider.

There's this global pandemic,

Holidays and maybe this month to you is just about getting through.

Whatever it may be,

Whatever you are focusing on,

Manifesting,

Healing big or small,

It is so important to be intentional in the day to day.

So I wanted to share with you a practice that is effective but also allows you to take it and transform it into your own practice,

Your own routines,

Lifestyle,

Something that you can incorporate into every day,

Regardless of the circumstances which may or may not change.

Step one,

Think of what lights you up.

One thing that's a part of your life right now,

One thing that makes you smile.

Hold it in your heart,

Breathe with it,

Respect it,

Show gratitude for it.

Now how do you intend to feel that light every day?

If it's a friend who made you smile a lot recently,

It could be reaching out in a small way daily to maintain that positive influence.

If it's seen the sunrise and the colours in the sky,

It could be setting that intention to wake up early enough every day to see that.

Remember these intentions are for you only,

Nobody else.

Hold that intention in your heart,

It's yours.

Be kind to it.

Breathe,

Release it.

You can return to that intention at any time.

Now,

The second step is to think of something that maybe doesn't light you up as much.

It could be a fear,

A problem you've been having,

Something that has been causing you a lot of stress.

Just sit with it here with me.

Don't think about it too much.

If you feel your mind wandering into an anxious hole,

Just return to being with that thing.

Breathe,

Respect it.

Hold it in your heart,

Show gratitude for it.

There you go.

Breathe.

Now,

How can we be intentional towards that thing?

Remember to be kind to yourself.

It could be just an affirmation that takes some of that feeling away.

Maybe,

I will pay my bills this month.

You don't have to know how,

You don't have to know the whens.

Just sit with that intention.

Take your intention back and place it in your heart.

What we're doing here is,

In a small way,

Allowing ourselves to control our own thoughts rather than letting them control us.

So come back to your intention.

What are you going to do to come away from that factor?

Repeat your intention to yourself.

Show gratitude for it.

Breathe.

Okay,

Now let it go and release that intention.

The third and final step of today's practice is to have an intention to be authentic.

What is something you do or something you believe in that feels like you?

That feels right?

That feels true?

Whatever it is that allows you to be in your body,

Feel real.

We spend a lot of time trying to please others or behave in a certain way to make money or be liked.

But it is important to have authenticity in our day to day,

Even if it's just in a small way.

Ask yourself now,

What makes me feel like me?

It could be doing your hair a certain way or singing to Rick Astley on the way to work or talking about a show you're really into.

I want you to now set an intention to express authenticity every single day.

Put that intention in your heart.

Breathe with it.

Feel gratitude for it.

Respect it.

Breathe.

And release it.

Okay and those are my three steps to setting December intentions.

I hope you all find small ways to practice your intentions every day.

As always,

Breathe a little softer and be a little kinder to yourself.

You're doing just fine.

Love.
