In this track you will learn a little about the Solar Plexus Chakra and then I will give you some affirmations along with the recipe for making a tea for this Chakra. It is made with dried herbs and roots. It is a lot of fun making your own Herbal Tea and matching them to your Chakras is an added bonus. I look forward to hearing how you go.

Hello again my dear friends.

Today is the solar plexus chakra tea.

This is also known as Manipura in Sanskrit which means luscious gem.

How beautiful is that?

The solar plexus is located just above the navel and below the ribcage.

Basically two fingers above your belly button in what is called the powerhouse of our energy field.

It is our energy centre and it radiates life energy,

Our prana,

Throughout our entire body.

It governs our willpower,

The ability to achieve,

Our self-esteem,

Raw emotions and self-discipline and is related to our metabolic and digestive systems.

Key issues governed by Manipura are issues of personal power,

Fear,

Anxiety,

Opinion formation and introversion.

Physically it governs digestion.

Mentally it governs personal power.

Emotionally it governs expansiveness and spiritually it governs all matters of growth.

It's a circle with 10 petals in which is inscribed a downward pointing triangle and the averted triangle represents the fire element and it's a transformative power.

When this chakra is well balanced and aligned with the rest of the chakras you will feel empowered,

Confident and capable.

It is the key to manifesting what you create at the sacral chakra.

So when the solar plexus is balanced and flowing you have a strong sense of self that can't be shaken and if it's not functioning and healthy our lives will be off kilter.

Its colour is yellow,

Its element is fire,

Its musical note is E,

Its animal is the lion and its goddesses are Mahat and Sekhmet.

In the realm of the solar plexus the father,

The king and the queen are our guides and each one offers a different perspective on what it means to love and to live from the place of empowered wisdom.

Essential oils are lemon,

Grapefruit,

Ginger and peppermint and crystals are pyrite,

Citrine,

Yellow agate and amber.

Some good affirmations for the solar plexus are I honour the power within me,

I am confident in all that I do,

I stand in my personal power with courage,

I manifest my dreams with ease,

I am worthy of the life I desire,

I respect myself and others,

I am strong,

Motivated and disciplined,

I set healthy boundaries and respect them,

I release all doubts and fears,

And I radiate confidence,

Self-worth and inner strength.

Right so today's tea is a lemon peel tea for the sacral chakra.

For the solar plexus,

Remember that we all have different tastes and again the brewing time,

Five minutes might be too long for some people and remember precaution as some herbs have contraindications with medications etc and so if you're taking anything best to check that the herbs will not interact with them.

So the solar plexus chakra tea is a lemon peel tea,

It's one part lemon peel,

Half part rosemary,

A quarter part fennel,

A quarter part fenugreek and then you just mix all those together,

Pour boiling water over it and brew for five up to five minutes.

So have fun making this tea and I want to definitely hear how you go.

And then the next herbal tea will be for the heart chakra.

And our bonus tea from my tea oracle cards is a lychee and mint tea.

So boil four cups of water and pour in a jug with four of your favorite black tea bags and steep for 20 minutes and then add a tin of lychees with its juice to the tea mix.

Add a few sprigs of mint and chill in the fridge for an hour and then pour over ice filled glasses and this is a good tea for relaxing.

So I hope you enjoy and we look forward to catching up next time.

Namaste

This tea sounds delicious 🤤 I don’t have fenugreek, as it’s not a flavouring I use but I’ll get a plant and try it. Do you use the leaves or seeds? Does it take a lot of trial and error to get each tea just right? I’m not usually very adventurous when making my herbal teas tbh 🙈 so these recipes are really inspiring me Joanne, thank you. The lychee and mint tea sounds delicious too. I’ll definitely try that in the summer. Thanks so much 🙏💖🤗
