Hello everybody,

I'm Joanne and this is a breath practice for feeling your breath body.

Our human body is made up of various layers,

Often called bodies,

And those energy fields surround us and make up our total energy body and selfhood.

There is the mental body,

The emotional body,

The spiritual body,

And the physical body to name a few of the ones that are most well known of our layers.

The breath body is very similar to the light body or the spiritual body and it is the part of you that is most connected to spirit intelligence and the higher dimensions and vibrations.

The breath body is activated when you do breath work practice and when you activate your subtle energy systems using the breath.

The breath body is the expansive part of you that is and does bring you information from higher dimensional fields.

Some use the terms breath body and light body interchangeably and then others defined these as distinct parts of the human energy system.

It doesn't matter how you want to think of this part of you.

It is just enough to realize that you have a subtle energy field that is part of you and that this part of you is connected to all that is spirit intelligence,

The source of life and the knowledge of the cosmos.

Activating and building up the breath body gives you a fuller,

More vital sense of your own self within your body,

A bigger connection to your own purpose and a deepening connection to your fellow human beings.

You can even equate the breath body with the inner self.

It is the expansive you.

So for the next 3 or 4 minutes together we will use our breath to get and attach ourselves and recognize ourselves in our breath body.

So sit with your back straight and aligned,

Preferably with your legs crossed if you can in a sitting position.

Draw your shoulder blades down and back towards your waist and lift your breastbone and chest slightly feeling noble in this posture.

Now raise your palms and place them palm to palm over your head in a prayer pose.

Now if this is hard for you or your arms get tired you can place your hands over your heart space instead.

And inhale deeply through your nose and as you inhale imagining you are inhaling prana from the source of all things,

However you conceive that.

Inhale prana into your breath body,

Which you can imagine is a layer of energy that surrounds you.

Visualize yourself drawing in breath and prana as a fine light that is ballooning into both your physical body and your breath body.

Inhale and exhale deeply.

And we'll do this for about 10 to 15 repetitions.

So inhale and exhale.

Inhale fine light.

Exhale.

Inhale prana.

Inhale prana.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale fine light.

Exhale.

Inhale prana.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Inhale that prana.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Now on this next inhalation,

When your lungs are full,

Hold the breath.

Keep your eyes closed and bring your attention to the energy field surrounding you.

See if you can imagine and feel the breath body.

Then at the top of the inhale,

Retain the breath for as long as it is comfortable for you.

On the exhale,

Feel the breath entering the breath body that is in you,

Part of your physical body,

And extends around you as its own layers.

Don't worry about imagining it wrong.

There is no right way to imagine or feel it.

Exhale the held breath to activate and energize the breath body.

And feel the exhale building up the breath body,

Energizing and activating it.

So inhale into the breath body and physical body.

Hold the breath as long as you can with the visualizations and feeling it.

And then exhale into the breath body to energize it.

And we'll continue on in this pattern for another 2 or 3 minutes.

And if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable,

Simply return to your normal breathing.

So inhale the visualizations.

Hold.

And exhale the energizing it.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Inhale activation.

And exhale.

Inhale.

Hold and feel it.

And exhale into the breath body.

Inhale.

Hold.

And exhale into the breath body.

Inhale.

And exhale into the breath body.

Inhale.

Inhale.

And exhale into the breath body.

Inhale.

And exhale.

One last time.

Inhale.

Hold.

And bring your breathing back to its normal way of breathing.

Just inhale lightly.

Exhale lightly.

And feel that energized breath body.

Feel how it's been energized and activated.

Namaste.
