This is a meditation to help us remember who we are.
We live in a culture that doesn't really support that very much.
From the moment of birth just about,
We are told things about ourselves,
We make up stories about ourselves,
We believe things to be true about ourselves,
Hold on to views about ourselves,
And get disconnected from our true nature.
This is a guided meditation to help us remember who we really are.
Breathing in,
I'm aware of myself.
I'm aware of my true nature.
I'm aware of my true nature.
I'm aware I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I'm aware I'm breathing out.
In,
Out.
Breathing in,
I'm aware of my in-breath from its very beginning to its very end.
Breathing out,
I'm aware of my in-breath from its very beginning to its very end.
Breathing out,
I'm aware of my in-breath from its very beginning to its very end.
In,
Out.
Breathing in,
I'm aware of my whole body,
Any tension in my body.
Breathing out,
I exhale all the tension in my body.
Aware of tension,
Exhaling tension.
Breathing in,
I'm aware that for the next little while,
I have nowhere to go and nothing to do.
Breathing out,
I feel deep gratitude.
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to do.
Deep gratitude.
Breathing in,
I bring my awareness to the springtime of the year.
I'm aware of everything emerging,
Coming back to life.
I bring my mind to an image of a daffodil bulb.
Spring is the time of daffodils.
When I look deeply into the daffodil bulb,
I see that contained within that bulb are eons and eons of wisdom.
The daffodil bulb is planted in the fall,
Lies dormant,
And then when conditions are sufficient,
When there is sufficient heat,
Moisture,
The earth giving it all the nourishment that it needs,
The daffodil manifests.
Every cell in the daffodil bulb has the wisdom of centuries and centuries and centuries contained in it.
Every cell in the daffodil bulb knows exactly what to do.
Some of them become leaves,
Some the stem,
Some a beautiful yellow flower,
And when the daffodil emerges,
When it manifests,
It doesn't look around at all the other flowers and say,
I'd really much rather be a petunia.
It doesn't run to the bookstore and get all kinds of self-help books to find out how to be a better daffodil.
It's exactly perfect just the way it is.
It has all the wisdom it needs alive in every single cell.
We have everything in common with the daffodil bulb.
We are the product of eons and eons of wisdom.
Every cell in our body,
Every bit of DNA,
Holds all the information that it needs.
We have all the wisdom that we need.
And when conditions are sufficient,
Starting off as two cells,
We manifest.
Just as the daffodil bulb emerging into a daffodil is a complete miracle,
The same is true with us.
We are total miracles.
But because of some conditioning,
We've been led to believe that we need to be more than that.
We're not quite good enough.
As miracles,
We could do better.
We need to look very,
Very deeply and question our perceptions and our misinformation.
We are every bit as much of a miracle as a daffodil.
And now,
Just rest for a few minutes,
Holding the awareness of the precious wonders of life we truly are.

Us that have been under the misperception that we're not quite good enough,
We're not quite enough.
Let's be assured we're more than enough.
