Hello and welcome to Joanna for Tato Therapy,

Enhancing your embodied experience.

Wherever you are today,

Find a way to a comfortable position and a comfortable place where you can come into union with your embodied awareness.

So often in our culture,

We live split off from our bodies,

Often in our heads.

And I really think it doesn't serve us sometimes to be so overthinking or really pulled up with our energy.

My goal is to help clients and myself become more balanced so that we're really in all of the parts of our body,

So that we're really in all of the wise chakras that make up our whole system.

So inviting you to come into your body,

We'll begin with deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Noticing if you're only breathing partway down your body,

Can you invite the breath to go all the way into the lower belly?

Can you even invite the breath to go all the way down into the toes?

And into any of the corners of your being that make up all the cells within your body.

It may be hard for us to connect to certain places.

Of course,

Our bodies hold our emotional experience,

And so some parts may be more charged.

And it can be hard to want to connect to those parts.

You might feel a heaviness in your chest or something in your belly,

And I want you just to allow that to be here.

Can we allow whatever we're feeling right now to just really be here?

So can we step away from judging,

And can we bring a little bit of acceptance towards how we're feeling?

There's usually a really good reason why your emotions are here.

Just let yourself take a journey throughout your body and notice how is it doing?

How is your embodied experience today?

Is there a place that is calling for your attention?

If so,

Take a hand there and let this part be held without any expectation.

But we're just offering support.

See if you can breathe in that unconditional,

Compassionate support.

You may wish to ask that part to share any information around what it's holding.

And just wait for the answer.

If it shares something with you,

Perhaps it might give you some indication as to what it needs from our higher and more centered self.

And you can ask that part,

What do you need from me?

How can I support you?

How can I show up for you?

Sometimes these parts just want an opportunity to express and to move through,

All the way through the emotion that they are carrying.

Sometimes that's all they need is to be seen and to be heard and to be held.

And we can do this for ourselves.

We can build this inner resource,

A kind of inner parent,

If you will,

That shows up for these parts.

And noticing if the charge has lessened a little,

If the intensity has subsided a little,

If there's some freedom now in your breath,

In your body,

Breathing into that space.

Space to be.

There's nothing that we need to do right now,

But just be.

And even though I will be closing this practice,

I encourage you to stay attuned to your embodied experience and to give yourself as much time as you need here.

I thank you for tuning in to Joanna for Tato Therapy,

Attuning to your embodied experience.

Go well knowing your inner wisdom.
