Hello,
Dear intuitive one.
It's Joanna Schmidt.
Thank you for joining me in this moment for this practice,
Natural Boundaries Here and Now.
In this meditation,
I'll be guiding you to sense into the layers of natural boundaries that are all around you,
Ready and able to support you.
The purpose of this practice is to help you feel safe in your own body and able to restore and nourish your connection with the sacredness of here and now.
To begin,
I invite you to place a hand on your heart and a hand on your belly to mark this moment as sacred.
Sacred time to put down the busyness of your day.
Sacred time to listen inward.
To begin,
I invite you to settle into your body now.
Perhaps give your bones and muscles permission to feel supported by whatever it is that's holding you up.
A chair,
Your bed,
The floor,
The earth.
Let yourself be held by these layers of support so you can do a little less and be a little more present.
I invite you to shift your attention now to your breath.
And as you do,
Breathe in and out.
And as you breathe in,
You can feel the energy of your body.
I invite you to shift your attention now to your breath.
And as you do,
Breathe to be in your body.
Breathing to be in your body is an intentful practice.
A practice that doesn't require you to take bigger or deeper breaths.
Let your breath be natural.
Perhaps even a little chaotic in its rhythm with each inhale and exhale.
And let the pace of your breath in this moment,
Let it be perfect exactly how it is.
Follow the movement created in your body by your breath.
Allow your attention to focus on this first layer of boundaries,
The physicality of your breath.
Follow the movement you can sense within your body created with each inhale and exhale.
Follow the still pauses between breaths.
Let your breath be natural.
Let your breath inhale and exhale.
Follow the still pauses between breaths.
Follow the sensation inward to explore this first layer of boundaries,
Your physical body.
Dance into the ways that you can feel the stretchiness within your body with each inhale and each exhale that you gift yourself.
Explore feeling the sensation of movement created by your breath from inside of your skin.
Perhaps even tracing the outline of your body by the pressures and sensations you can feel with the movement with each inhale and exhale.
Notice how simply by sensing your physical body,
It helps you mark your personal space,
Your own autonomy,
Your own sacred center.
Sense into the ways that this first layer of boundaries is holding space for you in here and now,
This very physical,
Sacred,
Living body that's holding and supporting you,
That you're able to feed with each breath in and each exhale out.
Perhaps play with the ways that your breath can draw you closer to this boundary,
This physicality of your own body.
Sense into the strength and flexibility of your body.
And in your own way,
I invite you to offer some gratitude to your body with healing thoughts,
Embodied prayers,
And the gift of attention and focus just simply by being in this moment offering it your loving,
Kind attention.
Perhaps let your next breath in be an embodied prayer of gratitude to say thank you to your body's durability for supporting you as you walk in this world,
Holding you in safety while you dream,
As you create,
As you connect with the world around you.
Next,
I invite you to sense into the physical solid boundary that's supporting your body in this moment.
Be it your chair,
The earth,
Or the comfort of your own bed.
Perhaps adjust your body a little so you can surrender to the support that this boundary is offering you.
Give yourself permission to receive this loving support so you don't have to work so hard to hold yourself up.
As you adjust your body,
Give in to that receiving of this precious support.
Notice what muscles are ready to soften and let them soften.
As you do,
Notice what shifts in your breath.
Notice what areas you're able to breathe in deeper as you surrender to this support.
Sense into the ways that your breath can help you notice all the meeting points of where your physical body meets this physical boundary,
This layer of support.
Sense into the ways that this layer of support helps you sense your personal edges,
Your personal space.
Explore how you can breathe into these edges in a way that draws you closer to your own center.
Perhaps let your breath emanate through your whole body and tap the sense of gratitude that you feel for this layer of support that's holding you up,
This soft layer allowing you to rest easy in the present moment.
Next,
In this boundary exploration,
I invite you to sense into the physical structure that surrounds you,
Be it the walls of your home,
The roof above you,
The building that surrounds you.
And if you are outside in this moment,
I invite you to sense into the edges of the nearest plants,
The closest trees,
The structure that is created by the nearest mountains,
The nearest rivers,
The nearest oceans.
And as you sense into these physical structures,
Notice how you can stay in your own center,
Connected with your own breath while you meet this layer of boundaries.
Notice too how just sensing these boundaries of structure helps draw you closer to your own center and presence,
How noticing these boundaries of structure can help you feel more present in your own skin and alive in your own body.
Perhaps let your next inhale tap into the energy of the gratitude you can feel in your heart for these boundaries of structure.
And on your exhale,
Emanate,
Emanate this gratitude through your whole being as you exhale.
There's no need to send this gratitude,
Simply embody it.
Next on this boundary exploration,
I invite you to sense into the more subtle layers of boundaries that support you below from the earth and above from the sky.
As you sense these boundaries,
Be sure that you stay anchored in your body in the here and now.
Remember to sense your own center by feeling the movement created by your breath.
Earth and sky as boundaries are lovingly supportive and remind you that your presence is welcome here on earth in the here and now.
These ever-present boundaries of earth and sky,
They're natural,
They're loving,
And they are kind.
Perhaps sense in to the ways that you can feel these boundaries of earth and sky lovingly supporting you from above and from below.
And in your own way,
Tap into the gratitude that you can feel for this layer of support that earth and sky offers you and emanate it through your whole body,
Letting your being become a beacon of gratitude for the support offered to you by earth and sky in this moment.
When you're ready,
Zoom your attention back into the feeling of your body,
Of your hands holding your belly and your heart in kindness.
Sense into the sensations of what it means for you to feel the layers and layers of support that these boundaries are offering you in this moment.
Physically,
The way these boundaries are cradling your physical body,
Spiritually and energetically the way these boundaries lovingly help define you and your autonomy.
Notice how these boundaries support you all around your being,
In front of you,
Behind you,
To the right and left of you,
From your toes to your divine crown.
Give yourself permission to receive this loving support from these boundaries,
These boundaries that are strong and steady and also flexible.
Give yourself permission to allow these boundaries to do a little bit more of the work of holding you up,
Of supporting you.
Perhaps adjust to your body a little to allow earth and sky to support you from above and below a little bit more.
Allow the structure of your seat,
Your bed,
Whatever it is that's holding you up in the here and now,
Let it hold you up.
Give yourself permission to receive this loving support.
Just let a little bit more of your energy,
Of your spirit arrive in this moment,
In the here and now.
Breathing in your body,
Pausing with each pause between inhales and exhales.
Allowing more of who you are to be held in grace,
In kindness and love by these layers of loving supportive boundaries.
When you're ready to finish this practice,
I invite you to rest your hands if they have been holding your heart and your belly.
If your eyes have been closed,
I invite you to open them now.
And using all of your senses,
I invite you to re-engage with the space that you're in.
Listen with your ears.
Notice any frequencies you can sense with your nose.
Use your skin to sense in and feel the temperature of the air around you.
Perhaps even sense into your ability to know where you are in time and space.
To re-engage with this moment,
With the physical sacredness of this moment.
Following your breath inward,
I invite you to notice what feels different within you now.
Now with this renewed sense of connection,
Of the layers of boundaries that are supporting you in this moment.
Notice what feels different within you.
Notice what looks different around you.
Now that you've taken time to listen in so deeply and sense into the support of these boundaries.
And to close this practice,
I invite you to thank yourself for showing up so fully.
Thank you for spending time with me.
I appreciate you and I am grateful for our connection.
