Take a moment to arrive.
Find a position that is comfortable for your body,
Whether that's sitting or laying down.
Just make sure your body can be at rest for a while.
This doesn't mean that you can't move at all.
Please feel free to always take care of yourself and your needs.
Allow yourself to move if you need to.
Everything I will say is an invitation.
Now,
When you have arrived,
Just take a deep breath and look around.
Where are you?
What does it feel like to be here now?
Nothing needs to change.
Just notice what is alive in you right now in this place.
Then,
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
And release through the mouth.
Once more,
Deep breath in,
And release.
And one last time,
Deep breath in,
And let go with a sigh.
And if you haven't already done so,
I invite you to gently close your eyes.
The theme of this meditation is boundaries.
Healthy and effective boundaries are one of the most powerful tools you have to enact positive change in your life.
Now,
Just for a moment,
Sit with the question,
What do boundaries mean to me?
Notice whatever comes up when you ask yourself this question.
Maybe thoughts come up,
Maybe feelings,
Maybe stories of times when your boundaries were not respected.
Just notice these thoughts,
Feelings,
Stories,
And then let them go by coming back to your presence here and now.
What do boundaries mean to me?
Now,
Tune in to a moment in which you felt powerful.
If no particular moment comes up,
Just sit with what it feels like to feel powerful.
Where in your body do you feel your sense of power?
Just be with that place in yourself for a while.
Now,
From that place where you are powerful,
Imagine an expanding ball of golden light.
Notice how this ball of golden light expands until you are completely inside of it.
Now,
Imagine that this golden light is your boundary.
It is where you feel safe.
Nobody can touch you here unless you invite them in.
Take a moment to feel what it is like to sit within your own safe boundary.
And now,
Gently let go of this image and return to a sense of presence within yourself here and now.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and let go through the mouth.
And once again,
Deep breath in and let go.
And one last time,
Deep breath in and release with a sigh.
And then,
Whenever you feel ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
What does it feel like to be in the world right now?
If you feel called to improve your boundaries,
Feel free to repeat this meditation daily for at least two weeks and then see what happens.
Enjoy the day,
Take care of yourself,
And until soon.
