I welcome you to find a spot where you can easily get comfortable and either sit or lie down.
Settle into your space and close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Slowly take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth allowing all of the air to go out.
And again,
Inhale slowly,
Hold for a brief moment and then exhale all the way out through your mouth.
And one more time,
A nice and slow deep breath in,
Hold for just a moment and let it all out through your mouth.
Now just allow your breath to find a rhythm that feels easy and natural and unforced.
Try to let any worries or negative feelings from your day up to this point fade into the background.
They have no purpose right now.
Be in this moment.
Notice any sounds nearby.
Allow your body to sink into the surface beneath it.
Let your muscles soften.
Release any tension you may be holding.
So many of us go about our lives going through the same motions every day,
Thinking the same thoughts every day.
It's sort of like living in a daze or like being on autopilot.
We may feel constant overwhelmed with tasks and to-do lists.
We may be unhappy with our jobs or feel dissatisfied with certain aspects of our lives.
What many people don't always realize is that we have a choice.
We have the choice to make changes.
Choices in the way we think,
Choices in the actions we take,
Choices in the people we spend time with.
Now it may not always be clear to see or easy to do and it may take some time to incorporate,
But we can all choose.
Choose happiness.
Choose to make a change.
Choose joy.
Choose love.
Whatever our hearts desire.
Take a few moments now to quiet your mind,
Just listening to your breath.
Slowly and deeply inhaling and then exhaling fully and completely,
Knowing your body is supported by the ground beneath it.
If your mind starts to wander,
Just acknowledge that and gently come back to your breath.
Let's take a few moments now to quiet our mind.
Let's take a few moments now to calm our mind.
Let's take a few moments now to calm our mind.
Let's take a few moments now to calm our mind.
Let's take a few moments now to calm our mind.
Often in the moments of quiet stillness that we hear our inner voice and find the direction that we may be seeking.
Slowly and only when you feel ready,
Begin to wiggle your toes and fingers.
Move your head slowly from side to side.
Flutter your eyelids open.
All is well.
Namaste.
