Find a way to loosen your mind up by asking it where it is. i wonder where it is located, only you will know by reflecting and contemplating. Even if there is no answer the mind will be curious enough to look and thus leave behind all the other thoughts that might be going on. Find some peace.

Where is my mind?

So let's take a moment to position our bodies in a comfortable position ready to meditate Setting an intention just to be here for a few moments asking and reflecting on the question Where is my mind?

I'm just starting to settle our bodies down by practicing some regular breathing perhaps you could start with your own preferred method or maybe we could breathe together with our mouths open on the in-breath and our mouths open on the out-breath for three or four breaths and then perhaps breathing in through our nose breathing out through the mouth again for three or four breaths and then continuing just to follow your own breathing pattern breathing in and out through the nose and not forgetting to pause on each out-breath and allowing the body to breathe quite naturally when it feels the urge to breathe in we know our minds will be distracted from time to time which is absolutely normal it's not there to ruin or spoil our meditation it's part of the process and when we do get distracted or a little bit lost then we can just return to following and focusing on our breathing or opening our attention and awareness to the sounds around or even a more internal focus deep within the body and just noticing what's there so as we sit here we can ask the same repeating question throughout this mini meditation and if we're placing our attention and awareness in and around the brain and the mind maybe we could ask that question where is my mind is my mind in here in my head perhaps repeating those questions but noticing what arrives for you as a reflection as an understanding or as an answer is my mind present here in my head maybe moving attention down into the neck and the shoulders is my mind here where is my mind and perhaps deeper down into the torso the chest area the body the belly the back of the body is my mind here where is my mind moving down into the legs and the feet is my mind here where is my mind where is my mind perhaps we can imagine or get a sense of the whole body just sat here right now and is my mind here within my whole body where is my mind so can we get a sense of the space surrounding our bodies as we just sit here the temperature on our skin or the sensation of clothing around the outside of the body maybe opening our awareness to the room and the space that we sit in is my mind here where is my mind what do we notice is mind within my body or does mind include the space around my body maybe we could imagine a wider space our local neighborhood our local community the streets the fields where i live is my mind here where is my mind my mind like the sky how does it feel to open our awareness to something more spacious or maybe we can open to the possibility that mind is not just within us but mind is everywhere mind like the sky
