When we are at odds with other people then our minds have set up an unequal relationship in our minds. The only way you are going to feel any better or able to let go or even forgive these people is to let the mind know that they are just like you. They want the same things. Just like me they want to be happy. the can balance the score a little bit and help to find some piece.

So just gathering our thoughts and our body,

Finding a comfortable position to begin our own meditation,

A meditation to help us deal with people that we find difficult.

Maybe we could think of an intention that we wish to be able to deal with the people that are difficult in our lives in more creative,

Helpful,

Loving ways.

So maybe we could begin to focus on our breathing as usual,

Making the breath soft,

Gentle,

Rising up through the body and just falling away down through the chest as if we are soothing our chest as we breathe out.

Not forgetting that when we breathe in we can pause a little and as we breathe out we can pause again and just allowing the body to breathe in when it's ready.

The mind will be distracted from time to time,

We will get lost in stories and we will get lost and distracted by the thoughts and sometimes the sounds from the outside world.

Remembering that's not a problem,

That's all part of taking the time to meditate.

So there's nothing wrong in this moment,

There's nothing that we need to change,

Just a soft focus on posture,

Creating a nice soothing breathing rhythm,

Something that you find natural,

Soft,

Loving,

Nourishing,

Perhaps slowing down,

Deepening the breath,

Maybe even lengthening the outer breath and we could bring to mind a person or a group of people that we're not too keen on or we're not too happy with,

People that might have upset us or we feel some kind of anger or frustration or even some kind of jealousy towards and take the time to notice how that begins to feel within the body.

It may not be a comfortable experience but we're learning to be with the different feelings and sensations,

Emotions and we are sitting in a safe place within our own meditation and we can learn to allow the difficult people in our lives just to inhabit our thinking for a moment.

We are in no danger,

There is no risk perhaps softening any areas within the body with our breathing,

Loosening our belly,

Breathing in and out of any areas that are tight or are in pain or discomfort and maybe with these people in mind or this person in our imagination placing them in our mental space perhaps seeing their expressions or hearing their words what it is that they perhaps trigger within us.

Maybe we could turn our minds towards them and offer something a little more loving and kind and this person or these people they're just like us and just like us they want to experience happiness and the causes of happiness.

Maybe we could wish them you know may you experience happiness and the causes of happiness and just like me you want to experience or they want to experience to be free from suffering and the causes of suffering and just like me you or they want to experience and be free from danger and the causes of danger and just like me you or these people want to experience some kind of ease within their life and the causes of ease so paying attention to your thoughts emotions body sensations keeping these people in mind or a particular person and we reflect that they are just like us just like me you want to be happy just like me you want to be free from suffering just like me you want to be free from danger just like me you want to be free to flourish and enjoy life
