Welcome,
My name is Chongjin Moon and I'll be guiding you in this practice of womb breathing which is inspired by a traditional Chinese medicine.
We all come from the womb so this meditation can be used by anyone who wishes to honor the womb.
Please be seated for this meditation keeping a straight spine and a relaxed back.
Check that your heart is aligned above your pelvis and your head is aligned over your heart,
Creating a straight central channel from the top of the head to the base of the spine.
Let's take three deep breaths together now.
On your next in-breath,
Inhale through the nose and sigh it out through the mouth,
Sighing signals to the body that it is safe to relax.
Let's repeat that again.
Inhale through the nose and sigh it out.
One last time.
Inhale through the nose and a full exhale through the mouth.
Return to your natural breath now,
Breathing comfortably in and out through the nose.
Now I invite you to place both hands over your womb space,
Close your eyes and connect with your womb space.
The womb embodies the wisdom of nature like the moon cycle.
The womb waxes and wanes like Mother Nature.
The womb cycles through the four seasons.
The womb space is a portal of life and creation.
We're going to use our breath and awareness now to open the central channel that connects down into the womb space.
This will prepare us to breathe more deeply into the womb.
On your next deep inhale,
Breathe into the heart.
Exhale,
Send the breath down into the womb,
Feeling the breath travel down the central channel.
Inhale,
Breathe into the heart space.
Exhale,
Send the breath into the womb space.
Deep inhale into the heart.
Exhale into the womb.
Continue to repeat this at your own pace.
With each exhale,
We're opening the central channel that runs along our body to deepen our breath and connection to the womb.
Infuse each inhale with love from the heart and send it down into your sacred womb space.
Now returning to your natural breath,
I invite you to relax your lower stomach,
Relax your abdominal muscles and soften the internal space,
Relaxing the organs,
The pelvic floor,
The hip flexors and the buttocks.
Feel your sit bones grow heavy as you completely let go.
We'll begin breathing in and out of the womb space now as if the womb has become your lungs.
If it helps,
You can place one or both of your hands over your womb space to help you stay focused.
Place your awareness in your womb space and on your next in breath,
Inhale into the womb space and exhale through the womb space.
Inhale,
Feel the womb space expand.
Exhale,
Feel it soften and relax.
Inhale,
The womb space fills with life force energy.
Exhale,
Life force energy integrates into the womb space.
Continue breathing through the womb at a pace that's comfortable for you without forcing any movement.
Focus on the natural ebb and flow of the womb space with each breath.
Before we're born,
The womb is where we receive our first source of oxygen and life force energy.
Womb breathing connects us to our original source of breath nourishment and growth.
Tap into this energy and breathe it into the womb space.
In traditional Chinese medicine,
Life force energy travels through the breath and stores in the womb space.
Womb breathing allows us to store more energy for vitality and creativity in all aspects of life.
If you lose focus,
Simply bring your awareness back to observing the ebb and flow of your womb space or apply light pressure to this area with your hand.
I invite you to observe the sensations in and around your womb space now.
You may notice that the space feels warmer.
This warmth is the accumulation of life force energy.
This is the energy that supports us to feel grounded and safe and to create,
Express,
And evolve.
The womb space is our sacred connection to the creativity of life.
To close this practice,
I invite you to place one hand over the heart and the other over the womb space.
Hold yourself with your hands and honor the connection that you've created with your womb space.
Integrate the energy that you've stored in the womb space.
Breathe in to the vitality and creativity that fills the womb space now.
Take one last deep breath now,
And when you're ready,
Gently flutter the eyes open.
Thank you for joining me.
