In today's meditation,

We'll learn a very simple breath practice that will help us feel very relaxed,

Centered,

And focused.

So let's begin today by doing just that,

By becoming aware of the breath.

And as we become aware of the breath,

Notice how we might feel in this moment.

Any body sensations that might be active and making us aware of.

And any emotions that might be present for us right now.

I found that for us to transform ourselves effectively and efficiently,

It's extremely helpful to become aware of how we are,

To acknowledge and accept how we are if we wish to transform it.

So as we become aware of the breath,

Let's let the body relax around a straight spine if you're sitting up and allow the eyes to close.

And we'll notice the breath,

How it enters and leaves the body.

And if we wish,

We won't change the breath at all,

We'll just become aware of it.

We'll notice its qualities,

Like how deep it goes in the body,

Or shallow.

We'll notice if we're breathing in through the nose or in through the mouth,

And out through the nose or out through the mouth.

And however we choose is totally fine.

We'll start today just by accepting the breath as it is.

Now in this breath practice,

When we inhale,

We'll say silently inside of ourselves,

So.

And then we'll hold at the top of the inhale for just a moment and exhale and say silently to ourselves,

Hum.

And we'll hold briefly at the bottom of the exhale and start the inhale again with a silent,

So.

Holding at the top,

Exhaling,

Hum.

This practice is a very ancient Sanskrit practice that translates into English as I am.

So let us continue with an easy in-breath,

So.

Holding at the top,

Exhaling,

Hum.

Holding at the bottom of the exhale for a moment and inhaling,

So.

Holding at the top,

Exhaling,

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

And continuing on your own pace.

So.

Hum.

Hum.

Hum.

Hum.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

And as you continue breathing,

Allowing the truth of who we are as the I am.

Allowing itself as our inner nature to become more and more present within our breath and through our entire feeling world.

So.

Hum.

And as we continue the breath,

Allowing the so hum to occur naturally inside of us as if we are being breathed and as if the so hum is being said inside of us without our own volition.

We hear the oneness within the so hum.

The majesty of ourselves being spoken to us within the so hum.

And our innate perfection being gifted to us in every moment of the so hum.

We return to the natural state that we are as the infinite beingness and the eternal realm of the real that we inhabit.

With every so hum and every breath we become more and more of who we naturally and effortlessly always are in every moment.
