As we begin the shamanic journey,
You can do this either sitting up in your normal meditation position or you can do it lying down.
We want to avoid doing shamanic journey or meditation at all as is you falling asleep.
So whichever way you're comfortable,
I will journey both ways.
You'll see people lying down when they do journey work and maybe having a covering for their eyes.
The drumming in a shamanic journey allows us to get to that deeper state of consciousness.
So it brings the brainwaves down and allows us to connect fully into the world of spirit.
I am going to guide you to the lower world today and then once you get into that sacred space I will leave you there.
I will not come back for you.
You will hear a callback which is the fast drumming.
That is your sign to return.
Go back the way you came and come all the way up back into your power place.
So your power place is where you will begin your journey.
This place should be a place that you know or in your mind's eye that you know.
The place that you're connected to.
A place that feels safe to you.
And it will be a place that you go to every time you journey.
So with that take a couple of really nice deep cleansing breaths and let's begin.
I want you to visualize yourself in a place outside.
Place that you know.
A place you feel safe.
Place you feel connected to.
Sometimes when we begin these journeys our mind has a hard time focusing on one single place and that's okay.
Just flow with it.
I want you to look down at your feet.
Feel them connected to the earth.
Slowly raise your awareness.
Looking around you.
Taking in the details.
The trees and the earth.
And the sky around you.
This is your power place.
This is a place that fuels your body.
A place that you can come back to anytime and connect to.
In this place is a very special opening into the earth.
The entrance to the lower world.
Scan your eyes across the landscape and find that opening.
You'll feel your body pulled towards it.
Could be an opening in the stone face or a tree.
Could be in the water.
I want you to feel your feet move from this place and walk towards that opening.
Stepping inside.
You'll see that you've entered a large cave.
Crystal lined walls.
Stone floor.
It's cool on your feet.
I want you to begin to walk descending down into the cave.
Walking down into the belly of the earth.
Continue walking until you come to what looks like a great river.
This is a river of ether.
We need to cross it to get to the lower world.
So as you're standing on the shore of this great river,
I want you to look around you for a means of crossing.
Sometimes that way across is just a swim.
As you make your way to the other side of the river,
You come to the shores of the lower world.
For many of us,
This place looks like a great forest.
Trees stretching up as high as we can see them.
But it looks different for us all.
Stretching out before you is a path through the trees.
I want you to begin to follow that.
Eventually,
This path is going to bring you to a gate standing next to it.
A gatekeeper.
I want you to ask for permission to enter this space for yourself and anyone that may be walking with you.
Now I want you to walk into this space.
Your sacred space can look like anything.
Traditionally,
There's a large rock in the middle.
A healing place.
A place you can come to,
To receive healing for yourself and to release the heaviness that might be carrying in your body.
It is a place to meet your guides and your loved ones who have departed.
To meet your animal spirit guides that walk with you.
This is where I'll leave you with your intention and the ability to manifest whatever it is that you need to hear or see in this space.
When you hear the call back,
Leave the space,
Acknowledge your gatekeeper,
And make your way back up through the cave to your power place.
Thank you.
Well,
Welcome back.
Hope you've had a good journey.
And you'll notice the similarities in this journey work to the meditations that I post are very,
Very similar.
The only difference is that I don't do drumming in my meditations,
But I still take you to the same places.
I'm usually there as a guide when we go down the entire time.
In this one,
I'm sort of bridging that for you.
So I take you down so far and then I allow you the rest of the time on your own.
Journey work is really special work.
It allows us to get insight on what might be happening around us,
How we might do something different or see something in a different perspective.
That's the way we would use it for ourselves.
If you were to see a shamanic practitioner,
They will often journey on your behalf to connect to your guides and spirit helpers to bring healing back for you.
So use it in a couple of different ways.
I use it both for myself and in my healing practice,
But it's also a really,
Really phenomenal tool to connect to the spirit realm and get those answers that you need for yourself.
So I hope you enjoyed today's journey.
I hope it brought you to a place of awareness and wholeness.
I wish you all the best.
