In this meditation, we observe and create awareness around energetic chords. Chord attachment is not always bad. Chords are two-way and it is important to remember that attachment also teaches. However, when the lesson is over we need to let go.

Hello and welcome to my meditation podcast Breaking Beyond Guided Meditation.

Well I hope you're ready for today's meditation because it's sort of a big one.

In today's meditation we learn to observe cord attachments.

Now any of you that are listening to this podcast,

Listening to this meditation and have never heard of cord attachments or attachments in general,

Might be like what is she talking about?

Cord attachments or energetic cord attachments are the emotional connection that we have to a place,

Object,

Person,

Thing,

Story and that energetic attachment can change from something that was once healthy to something that is unhealthy.

So if you think about our attachment to an old story or old wounding and we continue to go back into that wounding and we continue to revisit it and we continue to bring it up and it defines us.

You know everyone knows us by this wounding that we've experienced instead of who we are.

So in that example you could probably see how an attachment to a story can start to become detrimental.

At one time it served its purpose and its purpose started to deteriorate but we stayed attached to it and in turn it it is detriment to us.

So imagine that cord beginning to rot or callous and then that rotting and callousing coming into our own bodies.

That's a little bit extreme but I'm trying to give you the idea of how that cording can become detrimental.

We often get tied to things and our lesson in that attachment isn't quite over.

So even though we feel like we want to release from a story or a person or a place or an item we can't quite do it and that's because it still has something to teach us.

Cords are two-way so even if the attachment is from one person to to us or from us to that person it is two-way.

So sometimes cords can be attached to us from another person to us and in that case you know to identify and look at the cording and identify is this mine or is this attachment from someone else to me.

In the meditation I guide you to the source of the cording so that you can feel with your body and your mind and your heart and identify is this for my highest good or is this not for my highest good and am I ready to release this cording?

And we might feel flattered that the cording is there we might appreciate that the cording is there but I really want you to listen to yourself I really want you to listen to your body and watch your response to that cording before you make your decision on whether or not it's supposed to be released or to let it be.

And it's not meant to be scary not scary at all it's just meant to bring awareness.

So are you attached to a story?

Are you attached to a person?

Is that healthy attachment?

Is it an unhealthy attachment?

Are you ready to release it?

And if you say no that's okay too.

And the choice is always yours.

Enjoy today's meditation.

Go ahead and take a nice deep breath in all the way down your belly and slowly exhale.

Nice deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Last one deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Go ahead and relax the breath.

Just allowing that nice even flow of breath through the body.

Giving it low in the belly.

Finding that gentle natural rhythm just like the flow of an ocean wave.

Feel your shoulders relax.

Move that relaxation down your arms all the way to the ends of your fingers.

Feeling very present in your body and connected to your body every flow of breath.

Just allowing it to bring you to that deeper state of relaxation.

There is no rushing this part.

It's important to really feel the flow of that breath through the body.

Feel yourself nice and relaxed.

I want you to visualize yourself standing on a path.

You can feel your feet firmly on the ground and underneath your feet the earth.

Whatever shape it takes.

Dirt path,

Stone,

Concrete,

Doesn't matter.

I want you to feel it beneath your feet and yourself very connected there.

Slowly raise your eyes to take in the view around you.

I don't want you to go into deep in thought.

I want you to stay present in your body.

Just observe.

Do you recognize the place around you?

Have you been here before?

I want you to look down on your body.

Looking at your belly.

Noticing you have a cord of light coming from your belly and extending out from you.

This is the attachment to this place or to something in it.

I want you to begin to follow that cord of light,

Wrapping your hands around it,

Pulling yourself towards its end.

I don't want your mind to go into processing.

I want you to just observe.

Watching your thoughts,

Watching the feelings that come over your body,

Watching the emotions that rise up from your belly.

As you continue to pull yourself forward and towards the source of this cord.

Some of you may get to the source right away.

Some of you may not.

We take you on a labyrinth through various places until you get to the source.

Take your time.

There is no rush on this process.

When you get to the source of that cord,

I want you to look.

I want you to look with all of your being,

With your heart,

With your tummy,

With your mind.

Watch the sensations that come over your body,

The thoughts that troll through your mind.

And just listen.

As you're listening,

I want you to ask the big question,

Why?

Why?

Wait for the response.

I want you to ask yourself if it's a healthy attachment or an unhealthy attachment.

Allow yourself to feel the answer.

The attachment is unhealthy.

And you wish to let go of it.

We can move through that.

The attachment is unhealthy and you're not ready to let go.

That's okay too.

Some attachments serve a very great purpose.

And if your body is telling you it's not time to let go,

It's not time to let go.

If you are ready to let go and it's time to let go,

I want you to very consciously allow yourself to let go and we'll remove the cord.

Take a nice deep breath in,

Slowly exhale.

Just bring yourself to center.

Anytime we're gonna release something,

Sometimes there's a little anxiety that rises up,

So just clear it out,

Bring yourself back to balance.

Do you wish to release the cord?

Look down at your belly.

We're gonna do two things.

We're gonna pull the cord from us.

We're gonna place our hands,

We'll have one hand and we'll place the other hand over the area in which we removed the cord.

Pull that cord of light directly out from your body.

Place the other hand over the area.

Let go of the cord.

Allow it to diminish.

Take your remaining free hand and place it over your belly.

Now I want you to visualize light coming from your hands going into your belly.

This beautiful light channeled through your crown chakra,

Down into your arms,

Through your hands and into your body.

This beautiful light soars,

Cauterizing this entry of this cord,

Giving you that freedom from attachment.

Hold your hands there as long as you need to,

Being fully present in your body.

I want you to observe your surroundings.

Noticing any changes around you.

Feeling your feet firmly on the earth.

Let's take a nice deep breath in.

Slowly exhale.

Bring your hands together in heart center.

Just take a moment for reflection.

Bring yourself back to present,

Fully in your body,

Present with self.

Take a nice deep breath in.

Slowly exhale.

When you're ready,

Find your way back to me.

Thank you, Jill. That was very powerful for me! I have done some chord cutting before yet today was led by your respectful guidance, your warm tone, and time to allow emotions and imagery to fully blossom.
