Hello and welcome to your meditation to understanding your thoughts and learning how to control your emotions.

My name is Jillian and I'm honored to be your guide today.

A trigger warning for any traumas surrounding water,

Waves,

Or being underwater,

As we will be using waves as a visualization for today's practice.

Coming into a comfortable resting pose,

Perhaps seated or lying down.

Begin to take slow,

Deep breaths in and out through the nose.

Tune into the sensations of your inhales and exhales grounding you into this moment.

And as you breathe,

Gently approach your thoughts.

Surround your mind with compassion,

Honoring the inner workings and the power of your mind.

Without judgment,

Begin to notice what you are thinking about.

What is weighing heavy on your thoughts?

What feelings come with those thoughts?

Allow yourself to sit with them,

Acknowledge them,

And try to understand where they come from.

And now,

See if you can envision a blue wave gently but swiftly wash over all those thoughts.

See the little swirls and eddies of the wave,

The foaming crests.

Immerse yourself in this wave.

Let the vibrant,

Deep blues of water muffle any noise around you as well as in the mind.

Allow yourself to linger in the waves here for a moment.

Visualizing yourself floating underwater with sparkles of sunlight shining through.

And gently allow the waves to pull back,

Revealing your thoughts once more.

What is the first thing that comes to mind?

Become a gentle observer once more.

What emotions or energetic feelings come back into the body?

Withholding judgment,

Allow yourself to sit here with your thoughts.

The second gentle wave will be coming in a few moments.

See if you can settle your thoughts together,

Maybe not quite understanding them,

But at the very least acknowledging their validity.

Taking a deep and controlled breath,

A new wave of water washes over the mind,

Embracing you,

Supporting you,

Holding and lifting you.

Allow yourself to gently dance and float around in the comfortable temperatures,

Feeling lighter and lighter with every breath.

Allow yourself to resurface.

Feel the gentle pressures of the wave pulling back from the depths of your mind.

Noticing the mind once more.

But this time,

Observe the thoughts all the while keeping your feet rooted down in the water.

Acting as a gentle reminder of the peace and serenity that is always with you.

See if you can find a strong hold on your thoughts,

Even while you try to understand and make sense of them.

Taking one last breath here.

And then allowing the waves to come rushing back.

Immersing yourself one last time in this water of comfort,

Understanding,

Support,

Guidance,

Compassion,

Strength,

Power and love.

See the beautiful shades of blues,

Greens,

White.

See the sunlight and allow yourself to be.

As we near the end of our time together,

Imagine the universe reaching into the water and offering a warm hand out to you.

And as you grasp onto it and you are pulled out of the water,

Imagine all of that water swirling inside you,

Entering the body.

The beautiful depths,

The vibrant and deep colors,

The sense of calm,

Control and ease all within your mind whenever you need to understand any challenging,

Stressful or overwhelming thoughts or situations.

Taking three final deep breaths to end your meditation.

Each breath bringing you back into your physical body.

Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

Namaste.
