Good morning,
Love,
And welcome to your morning meditation.
We're going to get started right away.
So if you're in your bed,
I do recommend just sitting up,
Maybe lean against the headrest to prevent you from falling asleep.
You can sit on a cushion,
A block,
Wherever you are,
Just find the most comfortable position possible.
And when you get there,
Just gently flutter your eyes closed,
Maybe rolling out your shoulders a couple times here,
Just move it,
Get the energy flowing from your night's sleep.
You can stretch your arms above you,
Maybe twisting from side to side,
Just wake your body up in any way that feels good here.
Maybe rolling out the neck as well.
Once you've moved as much as you need to,
Just coming back into a place of stillness,
Feel your spine grow just a little bit taller as you begin to deepen your breath.
Nice big inhales and soft exhales.
I'm using this breath to call in new energy to wake your body up and really help you feel energized.
So taking in as much air as you can here,
Really feel your belly,
Sides of waist,
Ribs and chest expand as you breathe in.
As you breathe out,
Just exhale,
Feel the space that that created in your body.
Breathe in and breathe out,
Letting this breath nourish you and support you,
Calling on it to set the foundation for your day.
Before we go any deeper here,
Right away,
I'll just invite you to think of three things that you're grateful for.
Three things that you're grateful for.
Just going with the first ones that pop up and really feeling them in your heart.
Just going with the first ones that pop up and really feeling them in your heart.
And once you've done that,
Just gently come back to your breath.
Allow each inhale to fill you up and just let your exhales wash over you like a wave.
Feeling more and more present with every breath that you take here.
And so letting your breath do its thing here,
Not trying to force it in any way.
Let it move exactly how it wants to move.
And can you send your breath to the tiny little areas that you may not tend to focus on?
Feel it move into the tips of your toes,
The top of your head.
Feel it make its way into your legs,
Your arms,
Just flooding yourselves with oxygen.
And we'll sink our breath here.
So inhale through your nose when you're ready with me,
Breathe in.
Exhale,
Breathe out.
Twice more,
Breathe in.
And let that go.
Again here,
Big breath in and breathe out.
And taking a few moments to set an intention for our day.
I'll invite you to ask yourself the question,
How do I want to show up in the world today?
How do I want my best self to show up?
How do I want my best self to show up?
And just listening to whatever pops up.
Listening to those first few words or phrases,
Feelings that come up to the surface.
How do I want to show up?
How do I want to show up?
And once you have that intention in mind,
Maybe just turning it into one word or one phrase.
Simplifying it and taking a couple of deep breaths into it.
As we begin to use that intention as a mantra for our morning practice today.
So you can place the words,
May I be in front of your intention?
May I be grounded?
May I be loving or whatever your intention is?
And if you're feeling like working with Sanskrit today instead,
Option to use the mantra Om.
And this is the universal sound of vibration and manifestation.
So it'll just help call that intention into your life.
So you choose whatever resonates best with you this morning.
May I be or Om?
Beginning the repetition of the mantra.
And allowing it to act as an anchor to help take you deeper into your meditation.
And allowing it to act as an anchor to help take you deeper into your meditation.
And allowing it to act as an anchor to help take you deeper into your meditation.
And if you've drifted off reminding yourself to come back to your mantra here,
May I be whatever your intention is or om.
And gently releasing your mantra.
Tuning into your breath once more.
With every breath that you take,
Feel yourself sending your mantra out into the world.
Sending it from your mind.
Trusting that it's made its way into your heart,
Your cells.
Just letting it go here.
Sending it outwards so that maybe someone who needs it can catch onto it.
Beginning to deepen your breath.
Maybe starting to draw your attention to the rest of your day.
Feeling yourself coming back to your surroundings.
The floor or bed beneath you.
As you think to the rest of your day,
Can you call into mind the top three things you'd like to get done today?
Your top three most important things so if you got these done,
You would feel really productive,
Accomplished,
Aligned.
And once you have those in mind,
Just remembering them.
Letting them guide your day along with the intention that you set for yourself.
Really slowly starting to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Let your hands to rest over top of your heart.
Take a big breath in through your nose.
And let that go,
Release.
We'll finish off with a little prayer that I like to use in my morning practices.
Can follow along if it resonates.
Dear universe,
Where would you have me go?
What would you have me do?
What would you have me say?
And to whom?
For my highest good and the highest good of all those around me.
That one is from A Course in Miracles.
Bow your head down slightly.
Flutter your eyes open and just take a peek at your hands resting over top of your heart.
And let that go,
Release.
And to whom?
For my highest good and the highest good of all those around me.
Let that go,
Release.
And to whom?
For my highest good and the highest good of all those around me.
I do recommend that you write down those top three most important things.
It can feel really nice to check it off at the end of the day.
Thanks so much for being here.
Like always,
I am so grateful for you,
And I'll meditate again with you soon.
