Inner winter,
Mindfulness,
Connection with the womb,
Even if just in a few moments,
Taking time to meet this sacred moment of the shedding,
Lying down if possible.
And if it feels right,
Taking a moment to remove any inserts from the yoni so that you might be able to free bleed to truly feel the felt awareness of her,
Your womb,
Your yoni and the bleed,
The blood.
Lying down,
Closing the eyes,
Taking a few deep breaths,
Noticing where it feels best to position your legs,
Bringing in warmth into the body,
Maybe covering up with a blanket,
Bring in warmth of heat in the way of warm socks,
Warm feet equals a warm uterus,
Keeping the feet warm,
Relaxing the jaw,
Relaxing the pelvic floor muscles,
The rectal area and the yoni,
Knowing that this time is sacred.
And no matter what society has told us,
This is our time each month to shed,
To slow down,
To feel and to stop doing so that we can tap in deeper to what our body is showing and telling us.

This beautiful sacred time allowing us to shed what we have gone through over the last menstrual cycle,
Giving birth,
Moving through,
Letting go of anything that is no longer serving us,
Noticing what comes to your mind's eye when you think about shedding.
What are you shedding this month?
What are you letting go of?
Maybe placing your hands along your womb space,
Touching your inner thighs,
Your heart space,
Loving your body.
As you breathe in,
Send your breath intentionally all the way down,
Relaxing the jaw and throat down the body into the womb space,
The low belly area,
Possibly envision your breath as a color as it moves down and circles the womb space.
I like to envision a nice beautiful red.
Envision this circling as you inhale and exhale,
Noticing if anything comes up for you,
Then in a way of sensation,
Whether that be a physical sensation,
A space that feels tight or any discomfort,
Really truly tapping into those tiny spaces as you send your breath there.
It might feel nice to take some tiny circles,
Really small circles,
Maybe even moving less than an inch with your pelvic muscles and with your pelvic bowl,
Moving in one direction clockwise to begin with.
If that feels good or counterclockwise and just noticing if your body wants this movement,
Just tuning in and trusting the awareness that is held there in that space,
Relaxing the rectal muscles and the pelvic floor.
It might feel nice to tilt the tailbone down slowly and up.
This movement might be so small,
But it might be exactly what you need if you're experiencing any discomfort as you tune in and breathe.
Envision your blood running down,
Free flowing fully out from your uterus,
Out from your womb space,
Down your yoni.
And if you're able to free bleed,
Maybe feel what it feels like along the outside.
Envision your blood dripping down into Mother Earth.
Envision roots growing down,
Maybe passing clear waters as your blood tints the water,
A crimson red.
Through the layers of the earth,
It connects to the core of Mother Earth.
The core of Mother Earth is also red.
Feel your blood dripping down as your roots grow and plug in,
Connect it downwards.
Allow Mother Earth to take what you are shedding,
Finding pleasure in anything that is other than happy or joyful.
Shedding the pain,
Breathing into the pain,
Finding pleasure in that.
This is your time to move what is no longer serving you.
Saying thank you to our Mother Earth,
Thank you to the mother that is your womb.
Thank you to your bleed which is beautiful,
Which is sacred,
Which is allowed to be seen,
Should not be hidden,
Should be felt,
Can be felt,
Can be touched.
Possibly massaging your womb space on the outside gently.
Breathing in and sighing out whatever sounds come out.
Noticing the seed sounds through the heart connecting to the womb and with each exhale just allowing whatever sounds to move,
Whether they're deep or high pitched noises.
