We sometimes make decisions in life that are not aligned with who we truly are; this often causes pain and prevents us from being happy and free. This healing meditation will help release any heaviness in your heart and replace it with self-compassion, forgiveness, and the awareness of a more authentic and radiant you.

Hello and welcome.

I'm Jess King and today's meditation is about trusting your heart.

Find a comfortable position to either lie down on your back,

To sit in a chair with your spine supported and your soles,

The bottoms of your feet on the floor or sit in lotus position.

Whatever is most comfortable is what matters here.

So if you're lying on your back,

Go ahead,

Grab a blanket if that helps you become more comfortable.

Feel free to place a pillow beneath your knees or beneath your lower back,

Beneath your neck.

Just relax.

Comfort is everything here.

Give yourself a moment,

Perhaps dim the lights,

Perhaps light a candle or simply close your eyes and let's gently tune the rest of the world out.

If you're lying on your back,

The palms of your hands are facing up,

Your shoulders are relaxed.

Gently notice as you exhale if perhaps your shoulders can drop just a little bit more.

Sometimes we are carrying burdens that we're not even aware of.

So just allow your shoulders to fall,

Allowing the world around you to gently slow down as we begin to gently watch our breath.

Feel your breath.

Together as a group,

Let's take a nice deep inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth,

Allowing your body to relax as you breathe out and feeling that release.

Let's do that again.

Gently deep breath in through your nose,

Breathing in.

Gently let your breath release.

Notice how that feels in your body and feeling this deep sense of connection.

Continuing to feel your breath come in through your nostrils with each inhale,

Feel that traveling down,

Down your throat into your heart and expanding your heart a little bit with each breath in.

Feel that.

And as you release with your exhale,

You can feel any tension in your body lifting,

Releasing,

Letting go.

Continuing to follow your breath,

Allowing any thoughts that come up to gently float.

You can picture them as a cloud above you and just acknowledge without judgment.

Our minds are wired to think,

So just notice,

Gently wave hello and let that thought pass and come back to your breath.

A gentle inhale,

Expanding your heart space and release with your exhale.

Sometimes we lose our way in life.

Sometimes we get caught up in our emotions.

We start to believe what we are told by others.

And instead of listening to our hearts,

We begin making decisions and doing things that are not in alignment with who we truly are.

And when this happens,

We take ourselves a little bit away and we become a bit lost and life happens and hopefully we have a moment where we realize,

I need to change something.

I need to realign with my values.

I need to adjust something so I feel in sync again.

And it doesn't happen overnight.

And sometimes we go through a lot.

Sometimes it's painful.

Sometimes we hurt ourselves.

Sometimes we hurt others.

And this is not to be judged.

This is simply part of our journey.

As you breathe,

If there's something that you've noticed,

If you've begun to believe a story you were told or something you tell yourself,

If you're living in a way that is not totally in alignment with your truth,

With your heart,

With your higher self deep within,

Let's take a nice deep breath and breathe in some self-compassion just for where you are today,

For how you feel today.

Take a nice deep breath in through the nose.

And as you exhale through your mouth,

Release that compassion,

Release that beautiful loving energy and give this energy,

Pour this energy through every cell in your body as you exhale.

If any emotions come up,

Allow them to surface.

If nothing comes up,

That's fine too.

Let's do that again.

Take a nice deep breath in through the nose,

Breathing in self-compassion,

Self-love.

And share that,

Release that,

Feel that,

Reach every part of your body,

Your heart,

Your mind,

Your spirit.

And let's do this one more time.

This time,

I want you to really think about forgiving yourself and just like embracing what has happened,

Reminding yourself it's okay.

So let's breathe in this trusting feeling,

This forgiveness feeling,

This beautiful energy of understanding.

Take a nice deep breath in through the nose.

Exhale completely,

Feel that energy of forgiveness,

Feel this soothing energy filling your body.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in and release that breath.

Feel that beautiful energy of forgiveness,

Understanding,

And compassion reaching every part of you.

Let's take one more breath now this time.

Let's breathe in and think about release.

Think about something you can do to realign yourself and it might feel like the smallest step and it might feel like so painful and scary and maybe you're filled with doubt.

I hope not but it's okay if you are.

This happens to each of us.

And because you care,

There's so much beauty in that.

There's so much strength in that.

It is okay.

Think of one thing you can do to help realign yourself,

To go in the way of your heart,

To trust yourself,

To go and make one change.

Maybe it's calling someone.

Maybe it's changing a pattern in your life.

Maybe it's a small step.

Maybe it feels like a huge step.

But whatever it is,

Whatever first comes up for you,

Let's breathe that in a few times together.

Gently breathe in through the nose,

Filling up with this energy,

And release this.

Feel this visualize,

This change you would like to make.

Feel that release as you exhale.

Let's do that again.

Gently while visualizing this change,

Thinking of this change,

Breathe in all the way,

Filling up with this new reality,

This one step,

And release that with your exhale.

Feel this gentleness coming over you as you've forgiven yourself.

Have you decided to realign yourself with your heart?

Let's gently do that just one more time.

Deep breath in through the nose and exhale.

Release feeling your body with this beautiful energy,

This newfound self-awareness,

This newfound forgiveness,

Self-compassion,

And above all,

This deepened trust that where you are today is exactly where you are meant to be,

With this sense that you have the ability,

This knowledge that you are able to change your life however you feel it,

No matter what has happened,

No matter how painful it is.

You can just feel that energy as you breathe in and out,

This deep sense of trust.

You can gently begin to move your ankles and your wrists just a little bit,

Or you can stay here for a few moments and just keep breathing.

Whenever you're ready,

You're just gently going to open your eyes and feel this shift,

Noticing the world around you awaken as you awaken,

Feeling deeply connected to who you are,

Deeply trusting of where you are and who you are.

I'm sending you beautiful energy for the rest of your day or evening.
