The practice together with a little loving kindness.
And again if this is new to you then I hope you'll find some comfort in it and if it's not then welcome again back to this space.
If you're comfortable closing the eyes,
Resting back into the anchor of choice,
That safe space.
Channeling into that relaxation we've created with movement,
Stillness,
Awareness.
Drawing attention to the heart space in the center of the chest,
The beat,
The pulse.
Is there a color you can assign to that area in the body?
The image of the chest,
The heart,
Love.
What does that look like?
Maybe experimenting with placing a smile on the face,
Starting my internal love engine.
Smile.
Encapsulating the love in the body,
Warmth,
Tingling.
Feeling that in the body.
What does that sensation feel like?
Sitting in this moment imagine someone sitting in front of you or near you that you find very easy to love them.
Maybe it's someone that's passed away,
Someone that's alive,
A friend,
Maybe a pet,
Parent.
Just someone that you easily love.
Noticing what kind of sensation and feeling come to the body when you think of that person or that animal or that being that's easy to love.
And reciting these words back to them in your mind,
Either holding their hands,
Gazing at them,
Hugging them,
Whatever feels right in the body.
May you be happy.
May you be free from suffering.
May you be at peace.
And may you live with ease.
Acknowledging and finding awareness and how that makes you feel.
Again the sensations,
Maybe warmth,
Tingling,
Relaxation in the body.
And imagining them returning those well wishes back to you.
Reciprocating the loving-kindness.
And now bringing to the mind someone that you don't know very well but that you see maybe every couple of days.
Maybe it's someone at a grocery store,
Coffee shop,
Mailman.
Just someone that you can picture and the first person that comes to your mind is usually the one I go with,
But you don't know very well.
And again have them facing you and sharing these well wishes as you repeat them to this person.
May you be happy.
May you be free from suffering.
May you be at peace.
And may you live with ease.
Channeling this moment and receiving those words back to you.
Those well wishes of compassion.
If the mind has wandered outside of this practice,
That's okay.
It's part of the awareness and loving-kindness.
Just gently,
Gracefully bringing the thoughts back to this moment.
And these kind wishes.
And now bringing this kindness back to ourselves.
Maybe you're looking at yourself in a mirror.
Maybe you're just sitting here again being present with your eyes closed.
If it feels comfortable,
Maybe placing the hands over your heart acknowledging that this is for yourself.
This is for me.
Cultivating the loving-kindness that we shared with someone that was so easy to love for someone that we see every once in a while.
And now embracing that and channeling it back to ourselves to wish ourselves this loving-kindness repeating back in our minds.
May I be happy.
May I be free from suffering.
May I be at peace.
And may I live with ease.
Sitting with this sweet sensation for just a moment.
Noticing again any sensations in the body,
Warmth,
The beating heart,
Any tingling.
Acknowledging what it feels like to cultivate this in our entire body and being.
This loving-kindness,
This thankfulness and gratitude.
How we can share this with all beings everywhere.
Wishing all beings this loving-kindness.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be free from suffering.
May all beings be at peace.
And may all beings live with ease.
Allowing that gratitude to spread throughout all of us on this call and everyone we can think of and feel.
Sitting with this for just another moment.
As we allow the body to naturally come back into the space that we're in together and going on to the next part of our day when you're ready.
Thank you.
